    I drive a 2014 1.5 Diesel
Best engine by far, genuinely economical (unlike most lying petrol claims) & torquey power.

Me too, great engine one of the best diesel engines around, very quiet and pulls well.

I just traded my 3 year old Connecta 1.5 diesel manual for new Tekna+ auto. Loved my diesel and didn't have a seconds trouble with it.
I found it a dream to drive anywhere.
I looked at all sorts, before choosing another Qashqai.
What can I say, so far I feel 100% I made the best choice for me. Had a little try out of the pro pilot last night, it's nuts (in a good way). Not tried the auto parking yet.
I will up date when I have.
The big test is when I drive 5 hours tomorrow, as my old one was fantastic on fuel economy. I think the added luxury of the new car will be worth a little kick in the pants at the petrol station.
    So far 10/10.

Wow! Absolutely LOVE my new car. It makes motorway miles melt away.
The fuel economy is surprisingly good too, I thought I'd notice a big difference. I don't get as many MPG, but I chuffin love this car!
Still not tried the auto park, but have sussed out the voice commands. Etc.

He's really trying to dislike it. He just brushes all the good points under the carpet and really magnifies his perceived bad points - eg the arrows on the steering wheel out of reach from the "his" thumb ... come on, that's just ridiculous

What a negative review and unfair in my opinion. I bought one a few months ago and absolutely love it. It's the best car I've owned in years. I don't normally comment on vlogs but felt the balance needed to be re addressed here... It's a very good car

I think all these so called car journalists read from the same script.
You say the 1.3 turbo has enough for an overtake!!
Its a very punchy engine and perform better than the diesil and the 1.3 turbo 160 dct is excellent. The 140 bhp or the 160 are remarkable engines.
To say the one you were driving is enough for an overtake is just nonesence its more than enough.
Give true review's or dont bother as your just talking ridiculous and misleading people who look at this in a view to buying one.

Yup, word-salad grazing here ; ''....feels like night and day...''?? can this reviewer 'feel' the dark, is he a Jedi? ''...this steering feels a bit dead off-centre...''? If he'd done a bit of research, as reviewers are supposed to, he'd have been able to make a direct comparison between the normal/sport setting and offer us his opinion? If you have no product knowledge then you're reliant on your personality to carry out a car review. Even Kate Humble could read her script when she was a TG presenter.

    Got a 2018 / 1.5 Diesel that I bought second hand....
The only negative I found so far is that the ride is be a bit hard on some roads, however that is because I have a Tekna and slick tires and my fancy alloy size is not optimized for a smooth ride, mainly to look cool LOL.
My main positive experience is that it's very economical to run on my 1.5 Diesel engine.

Good review. But you sound surprised that the quality is pretty good. You're driving a nearly £27,000 car, it should be pretty good for that lol

Should also have mentioned honest things like Never buy a Nissan Qashqai timing chain issues and after that new engines are needed. Appalling air conditioning new condenser needed every two years. Parking sensors fill with water when it rains and it thinks your parking when you drive Nissans answer was to drill holes in the bumper to stop the water ingress. Watch out for the warning signs oil consumption that’s the start of your Nissan journey enjoy 😉 PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. Sorry Nissan but you need to honour the people who bought the faulty cars you produced with Renault building the engines and fitting the piston rings incorrectly. If at least one person reads this and it stops them buying one I am a happy man.

Ha, it’s Nissans fault he has small hands and can’t quite reach the buttons with his thumbs.

the ride quality is still shite, its sharp bumpy jerky ride is not that smooth at all, because its sits on taller springs and shocks theres mosre movement for body roll and if on rough roads its not smooth, it feels weak and crashes in and out of pot holes instead of just gliding over them and thats not good for suspention, to be honest i thought it would be much better smoother riding

over priced cars also in my opinion
