Just remember the Renault 5 Turbo was a 1.4 and that was quick. I have a 2016 Qashqai..N Connecta with comfort pack. I test drove a stunning BMW 520D but much preferred the Qashqai for the upright driving position and comfort. Qashqai is so easy and nice to drive. I would recommend the 1.5 diesel aswell because it has good torque at lower revs and I was seeing 70mpg on motorway recently with easily enough power for overtaking. A 1.3 turbo petrol should be a good engine for Qashqai. On Satnav, I dont like the Satnav in most cars. Qashqai and Mini F60 both rubbish. I use a much better windscreen mount Garmin Satnav which has so much more information and just much better. Lane departure should have an option to ignore below a target speed. Note the auto lights are rubbish for auto main beam. I also have sucessfully fitted led "bulbs" into the H9/H11 projector dip and these work well compared to Halogen bulbs.
I’d love an electric Qashqai. Had an 07mod for three years. Bought an 2012 Leaf last year because of the savings. But this new model is really good looking!
It's no problem to get this engine well under 6 Liters over land and on the highway if you can restain yourself concerning the top speed. If you drive normally, it is reasonably economical still. Between 6 and 7 Liters are no problem, unless you drive only in the city. If you push it, the of course it will take it's fuel. That's just physics and you can't have it all. But for a petrol engine this thing is insanely ecomomical if you WANT to drive it that way. It won't set you back more than a Diesel, while delivering the culture of a pertrol. I can't fault it at all.
@@barryjmarling Ahhh. You got me worried there! If you listen to 9:00, I mention the DCT but also that the Qashqai weirdly also offers the CVT as well as a manual gearbox.
6:35 Engine is responsive and has torque of a diesel but 8.5-11 liters consumption is definitely not fantastic. Far from fantastic, it's a big lie, considering what is their declared consumption. Their declared consumption in city is 6.6l, highways 4.5l and mixed 5.7l. I'm driving smooth and pretty conservative and getting 10-11l in city and 7.7 - 8.5 on highway.
Like all of my reviews, I can only talk about how the car feels/drives, etc. I can not comment on the reliability of owning one and such. With this in mind, I do think the Qashqai is a very likeable car and with the 1.3 it's fun as well.
Own the 160 hp since the end of last year, and yes it's a speedy motor, although the fuel economy is not as expected. Probably because it's a new engine? Also, the slightly updated infotainment is a nice addition with (finally) CarPlay and Android.
I bought a new QASHQAI in October 2018 and sold it last week for a massive loss. It was a 1.2 petrol CVT N-Connecta Plus. Worst car I have ever owned, by far. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it looks good. I realised too late that it is built with too many Renault components.
Nissan has problem with audio. I was owner two of Nissans qashqai and juke. Both has audio problem. No voice from sat nav , cd,radio etc. Juke was 2013 , qashqai 2015. So no more Nissan for me.

It astounds me today that half of a car video is focused on everything but the vehicle ... WHAT ! ...IT DON'T COME WITH A BLENDER for my protein shakes ? Blame the millennials.
@@Pit-Stop Sorry , I hate it that the center stack seems more important than the vehicle ... in today's market. What happened to the passion of JUST driving ? most millennials would rather just beam themselves to their destination while playing with their electronic devices. Its not just this review , all reviews seem to be the same , they start off with the infotainment system and go on for first 2/3 of the video.
That's because the infotainment IS one of the big attractions in car these days. A lot of young people aren't interested in driving or owning cars. And also, an SUV is hardly a vehicle to experience the passion of driving. Also you're missing the point of the video. I've already tested this generation Qashqai. However, this particular model featured the updated infotainment software and a new engine, hence the video focusing on those.
You can’t blame millennials for any feature- they are there because of demand ( designed and implemented by older generations- possibly even yours), not because of one zeitgeist group; that would not make economical sense. As a so called X’er - I want tech and I want a car that drives well and does not cost the earth (either financially or environmentally). Should look good too. I think everyone wants this - they are not mutually exclusive.

How quiet is the car in high speed?
Still looking good and great! A potential candidate for my next car.

Is it 1.3 MT (160 h.p.) Tekna?
Very nice review i have an 1,2 l and feels like a 2,0
The 1.3 petrol is DCT auto not a CVT gearbox.
Whoops, did I say it was CVT in the video? Can you give me the timing, please?

Pit-Stop yes but only in the new 1.75l Diesel.
@@Pit-Stop Hi, is this gearbox the same EDC that is installed on the Renault Kadjar? Thanks.
Nice video. How about noise on the highway?
How much HP has the engine?
Very little noise on the highway at 130km/t and those engines 1.3 comes in 140 and 160hp on the Petrol version.

Is this 2018 or 2019 model?
Is the all round cameras any better quality the last one I had was very poor quality
They're pretty much the same. The screen is also somewhat small so you're not going to see plenty of details.
Lee Justin because such trade off is often reduced rear visibility; hence camera inclusion- and why not?
would you recommend this car
