Those SDE-2000's are pretty cool. I think I actually kinda like it better than the SDE-3000. Seems like it's a lot more useful, and easier to get the modulated, and pitch shifted type sounds outta them. The SDE-3000 is a classic don't get me wrong, and it def has a signature character, but sometimes I feel like it's kind of limited in some ways. How do you find the feedback/tails of this for doing longer repeated type delays for like guitar, or Vox? Also, have you used any SDE-3000's?
I never used the SDE-3000. As far as finding the right settings.... I'm just tweaking and tweaking.... but usually I'd just hit a string quickly (no sustain) on a delay with a lot of feedback and adjust the time , usually while listening the the song to get the tempo or just what sounds cool.
