    People who didn’t live during this era and watch Mike Tyson fight during his prime will never understand how scared were his opponents when they had to put a foot into the ring against this man, he was at this time unbeatable and the most feared human being on this planet.

    • @Phlegm187
      @Phlegm187 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s because Tyson wasted his prime fighting a lot of people who had no business being in a boxing ring. The heavyweight division in the 80’s was probably the worst it’s ever been as far as talent goes. Then when he did start fighting big name boxers he lost to them. The only fight I actually wanted to see was him and Tua but Tyson dodged him his whole career.

      @@Phlegm187 the 80s were the 2nd to 3rd best era in history.....id put guys like holmes, ruddock, weaver, spinks, tubbs , bruno, witherspoon , holyfield and Tyson against anyone from the last 2 decades!....The 80s talent pool was very good, just not as good as the 90s or perhaps the 70s!....Keep on hatin' buddy!

  • @SFsteve
    @SFsteve 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

    I did my googles and looked up both of their records leading up to the bout. Spinks pro debut was in 1977 and had a 31-0 record up to the fight in 1988. Tyson pro debut was in 1985 and had a 34-0 record leading up to the 1988 match. After some quick maffs…my findings: That’s why Spinks was terrified out his mind. Lol

    Yeah i remember this. Even people saying this was staged because Sphinx didn't put too much of a fight. But the reality was that he was so scared and already defeated that he let Tyson knocked him out in less than 2 minutes. What do you have to lose you ask? well, in this case the beating of his life if he would have tried to fight Tyson hand to hand.

    Spinks went to the ring looking for someone to save him and hoping the way to the ring will be longer
