  • Come adventure with me and join me in a staggering 1325km journey from Brisbane all the way to Longreach in the centre of Queensland’s outback On QLD rail train, The Sprit Of The Outback, we will also look at what the sleeper is like and what the meals in dining car are like. We will also see if it’s a worthwhile journey and a good way to travel to the QLD Outback.
    I hope you all enjoy the adventure with me.

    Nothing is " complimentary "
    It's all built into the cost.

      Very true, I was just mentioning that it was included in the cost of the ticket so you don’t have to pay any extra on top of what is already being paid

    Please do some research on the towns you will be visiting on your trips, particularly the pronunciation. You made a real hash of NAMBOUR pronounced Nambor and BARCALDINE pronounced Bar Call Din as shown on the sign at around 46:16. Even though you looked at the sign you got the name wrong at least twice afterwards. Other than that a good video.

      Thanks for the feedback mate I am definitely going to try to pronounce names better

    Looks like another great rail journey. I've been thinking of doing a rail journey adventure but haven't really decided what one I would take. My only problem with the Spirit of the Outback would be if I got a cabin like yours and end up travelling backward in the seat. I've done it before on short train trips and found travelling backwards make me feel sick.

      Yes, you can always ring up and book your ticket and ask for a cabin with seat facing in direction of travel, you should take a rail adventure it is very enjoyable.

    Did you come back on the first train back or dose it stay there the night before it comes back

    • @railwayswithjames
      @railwayswithjames  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I came back on the same train a week later the train stays overnight in Longreach and runs twice a week although I came back in economy seating.

    Is there a window to see out of the back of the train or an outside area? Also sitting cars seemed very empty? Is that normal? How was the economy seating on the way back? Would you do economy again?

    • @railwayswithjames
      @railwayswithjames  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there is a window at the back of the economy car and the economy car is pretty empty as most people do choose the sleeper but economy is a very comfortable option. I actually slept quite well and the seat is very comfortable but you just have less privacy obviously, but definitely worth it as a great cheap option to travel between Brisbane and regional destinations.

      @@railwayswithjames thanks for the prompt reply. Economy is certainly a cheaper option. Thought you would have missed the luxury of a sleeper. Seats don't look comfortable but obviously are 😀
