How’s your Jetta doing? In the process of buying one with an auto transmission. A bit worried about the auto transmission but planning of swapping it with a manual in less than a year.
Last winter I had problems with my transmission not going into reverse but it seems to have magically started working consistently again. Apart from that it's a fun car to drive and I wouldn't be too worried if you're going to swap it fairly quick.
For some reason my apple carplay doesn’t wanna work even when I plug into there plug they gave the usb port, one for charging other for CarPlay someone help
Bought the exact same unit (with backup camera) and just installed it in my 2003 Jetta. Awesome! Question, does yours shut off completely with the car turning off? It seems like mine stays on. I manually hold the power button till it shuts off but even then the clock display is still on and pretty bright. I’m nervous it may kill the battery. Does yours power off with the key? (Also BTW, I did get the exact fit harness to I just went wire to wire and they all matched pretty directly.)
Awesome Chris! When I shut my car off with my key still in the ignition it will stay on but once I remove the key it will completely shut off. That's weird that yours doesn't fully shut off... Hope you can figure that out and if I can think of any reason why I'll let you know
Gotcha. Some additional reading and it seems like a lot of people say the stock radio does not use a switched power line and suggest to cut the current power wire and instead supply it from the “75X” power source (with inline fuse). Fingers crossed!
You guys are amzaing!! That is totally awesome. Congrats on the successful install!
You. Go. Lincoln.

Yo how did u match up the wires? Was it based off color or did you have a diagram?
Based off of color
What’s the need for dash kit do I have to buy that as well?
The dash kits are custom for your car model so that the screen stays in place. Otherwise, at least in my car, the screen would be extremely loose.
