Im so glad rain of fire got something new to play with, it was already nice getting radiant on other subclasses but now being able to weavewalk to reload, plus being able to carry THREE strand fusions makes these so fun ive been committed to making rain of fire strandlock as good as it can be!
Fun fact - You can break the ability drain of Weavewalk by short hopping, popping the ability and emoting. The order of action for Weavewalk is Airborne Check > Activation > Apply Weavewalk Buff > Apply Ability Drain By emoting at the right time you can prevent the ability drain.
@hunterfj0428 at the time I did mean the drain from using the ability. The initial cost would always trigger. This got patched in the mid season update tho
Ehroar, you can do the dash quicker by buffering, hit the rift button twice followed by jump, if done correctly you will not leave the floor to “air dodge”.
Love every new season when the Ehroar vids start dropping again. Something that might be a decent idea for a video is to maybe update a “TopBuild for each subclass” video. Maybe a video for each class. Warlock Solar, Arc, Void, Strand, Stasis Then one for Hunter & Titan each also. Just an idea. Love the videos man. Cheers.
Any reason why your using Ashes to Assets/Firepower instead of Hands On/Heavy Handed. Since Hands on and Heavy handed not only apply to your melee attack but also to your grapple melee? Sure it wont make the biggest difference but its just a bit extra
Ive been using this aspect with Weaver's call to just launch 8 threadlings at once, alongside Monte Carlo to generate maximum melee and maximize the uptime of the weave, I think it just works a touch better for harder content But that might just be me
It's okay bungie put the band-aid mod in this season to reduce your tangle cooldown, so you'll get one eventually 😭 Warmind cells all over again so the average players iq must be room temperature
I prefer Threadling Grenade on a build like this because it gives me the room to make threadlings with my grenade without Mindspun Invocation. Weaver's Call pairs really well with Weavewalk since using your rift is a natural line following the air dodge, for a spicy 8 threadlings at once, plus 3 more from the grenade. The mobility of Grapple Grenade isn't worth giving that up in my opinion, especially since the other advantage (unraveling) is covered by throwing an Arcane Needle once in a while with all the melee refunding you get. Swarmers, Verity's Brow, Eye of Another World, Claws of Ahamkara and Rain of Fire are all excellent options for this build.
I've been using eye of another world as well since I started using strand on warlock. Idk how much of a difference it makes but it feels better than osteo and necrotic imo..... I guess it depends if the enemies are close together or not...
I tried, and honestly I flound more value and consistency in Traveler's Chosen. Special reload and now you have a good chunk if not all of your melee, grenade and rift back, sure it's not a lucky draw of refunding a full melee on kill but it's good enough and if you spec it, you'll have other ways of recovering your melee.
Top tier video as usual. Logical, practical, backed up with solid stats and verifiable gameplay. My man treats every video like a business proposal and I’m here for it.
Does Verity's Brow buff the damage of the Threadlings spawned by the grapple through Mindspun Invocation? Or does it only buff the grapple-bash itself? I haven't tried Verity on Strand yet so this looks very interesting! Thank you.
2:08 how did that you get the kill?? i was playing gambit and while i was invading hit two full draw leviathan's breath body shots against a warlock in weave walk and didnt get the kill. season 23 (wish) if that makes a difference. im not sure if this is intended, if the opposing player was cheating or what but in no way should they have survived that. and if they weren't cheating weave walk needs a nerf in PvP
You can, it just that's (and I haven't experimented with this so I don't really know) Verity could be giving the consequent melee with grapple a lot of damage.
Definitely. I'd trade the DR you get in Weavewalk down for a lower DR, something a little less cheaty feeling, for the ability to rez allies while in the weave.
Hunters will be ok. While they are nerfing the hell out of warlocks and titans, hunters are getting all the buffs. It is about time warlocks got something to help them in PVP...too bad they got disabled so quickly because why, the DR. I am sorry but Bungie has been saying that they have been working on the Last Shape for how long, so why the hell are the devs testing this before release...why is it that the players are finding this out and we have to suffer because of it.
Would that REALLY surprise you? Probably is a bug why else would you get ridiculously high Damage Reduction if the enemies can't see you? Unlike Void Aspects that state you're Invisible, Weavewalk doesn't state it anywhere. What they WOULD classify as a "bug" is that ridiculously high Damage Reduction. Only because anything "too good" that benefits the community is a "bug".
@godknightomega it states you move into the weave or something along those lines which could mean the enemies aren't supposed to be able to interact with you or see you The omni dr is there almost purely for pvp so I think weavewalks is too because bungie probably outright can't make it dr in crucible and invis in pve
I did do an all threadling setup, but switched back to grapple. The grenade is rendered superfluous by your perched ones, so I just went for maximum mobility.
Grapple-Melee is uniquely coded to benefit from both Grenade AND/OR Melee buffs, but usually only one at a time. Verity's Brow gives the Grapple itself incredibly fast regeneration, while up to doubling the bash's damage, unraveling targets, and creating Threadlings on hit for more damage. I don't know if those Threadlings are also buffed by Verity, but still, that's alot of damage and utility on a very short cooldown. Turns any Strand weapon kill into even more free grenade energy, even before Demolitionist or Thread of Generation.
This was doable b4 with karnsteins.. but perhaps the death throes tradeoff is worth it for a stronger punch. I was running something similar but with high strength..and shackle grenade... to suspend with death throes damage buff
sounds good, but i feel like warlocks have no use for suspend compared to the other classes, with the dmg output here, suspend doesn’t matter too much to add control
I’m gonna lose my mind not being able to change loadouts. Why on earth would you remove a game defining feature like loadouts because of the ornament bug. Just disable ornaments till it’s fixed NOT LOADOUTS
Its not only cause of the ornament bug, some people were using it to their advantage. People were hiding snipers with Devils ruin, giving them essentially a sniper with none of the downsides of scoping.
Its crazy how people think this is a crzay ability when in comparison to other games with abilities similar to this its actually worse bc you still take damage compared to wraith in apex or reaper in overwatch
Well, since Bungie took our Phoenix dive ability from bottom tree Dawnblade and decided to give the dives to Darkness Hunters instead of us, I'm fine getting an invis dodge in exchange.
Like i said to Lucky10p and rickas calling things OP or just saying BROKEN is dumb because people actually finding out before you guys just get 🤦 because of you guys the will get disabled eventually because pf you guys there is no actual reason why showing off🤦just for views 😢

If you use witherhoard, you can throw threadlings while you scape
Can't use Verity's tho, maybe find an alternative exotic e.g. swarmers, eye of another world
As it stands right now you can't do shiiiiii with Weebwalk right now.
@Saint_Wolf_ if you are dealing damage over time, the threadlings will attack. Stuff like withehoard and anarchy work for that

fyi: Woven mail is now 55% DR. not so noticeable a nerf but it's a thing nonetheless :)
If this aspect is reliant on melee charges, why not run Monte Carlo to get tons of melee charges back quickly and use weavewalk more often?
I tried, and honestly I flound more value and consistency in Traveler's Chosen. Special reload and now you have a good chunk if not all of your melee, grenade and rift back, sure it's not a lucky draw of refunding a full melee on kill but it's good enough and if you spec it, you'll have other ways of recovering your melee.

The only thing keeping this from being S tier in PvE imo is that you can't interact/revive while in the weave
The one thing keeping it from being the best aspect in the game
