One thing about Thunderclap is that you don't have to fully charge it if you're just looking to give double empowered to your grenade. You can just give a quick shot to a nearby enemy and then thruster out of cover and throw a grenade

Don't sleep on Armamentarium either. It synergizes perfectly with pulse grenades and the new armor charge mod, pretty much giving you endless nade spam

Mobalitics may cause fewer views to TH-cam channels. That would affect Mactic’s bottom line. I understand the ease of use but I think he ultimately gets more benefit from us support his channel by watching his videos

Meh idk man, the numbers don't lie. Halving the ability regen buff duration while also putting class ability regen down to 1/6 of its former value means you can almost never perpetuate a x2 buff for more than 5 secs, which is what made the exotic so good. It functions at less than 1/8 of its previous effectiveness because the buff can't be prepetuated. Sure it still gives some regen when using abilities but it almost isn't even the same exotic anymore. They really should just rework it again. I think the even bigger problem is that titans don't actually have that many ability regen exotics to use in high end content that can take HOIL's place. Mask of the Quiet one is the closest we get.

You probably want the fragment that creates an ionic trace when you kill a jolted target instead of the one that makes and orb on amplified multikills, especially if you're triggering jolt with a weapon and not just your grenade.
Even better, remove Spark of Resistance since you won't make much use of it in harder content whereas killing Jolted targets will be happening 95% of the run, it all depends on your playstyle (aggressive/passive) but generally speaking Well of Ions will benefit you in all activities.
You'd think that. But there is a huge difference running aplitude over Jolt. Constantly having full stacks of armor and being able to get some cooldowns as well as chunks of health is far more valuable than a single ionic trace.
I've been using HIOM the entire time. Everyone dumped it when it got the nerf but honestly it's still REALLY good. The build only changes slightly with the season to mix around what mods are discounted and such
Thunderclap is just straight up better than shoulder charge, tap melee to hit from range almost instantly, doesn’t require sprint to start up, doesn’t waste time on your already short 5 seconds. Sure you can also fully charge it to do nice damage to healthier targets but the only purpose of your melee on this build imo is just to empower the other two for the regen and damage. Loop feels more reliable and fluid with thunder clap. Helmet: ashes 2x, (free slot) Arms: Firepower, bolstering detonation, impact induction Chest: charged up, (resist/reserves) Boots: Recuperation, stacks on stacks, absolution Mark: Distribution, powerful attraction, utility kickstart (assuming it still isn’t disabled when you’re reading this)

Considering unstoppable champions are probably the most lethal and important targets to take down whenever they are around though, you are 99% of the time going to have a weapon with unstoppable on you. Shoulder charging an enemy than can one tap you is not very worth it imo. Ofc I’m referring strictly to using this in grandmaster content, because the stronger the enemies are the more useful this build becomes because of the indirect buffs it will give you on your ionic grace generation. It’s best to just stun from afar and chuck a pulse nade and get your nade back
I noticed this a few weeks ago, and have been running exclusively arc titan with HOIL when playing the class. With something like Trinity Ghoul, in lower level content, it just makes the game chaotic and fun
When he started talking about this build, I almost immediately realized how he was gonna utilize the grenade and melee considering how he was aiming for ability energy.
Had nearly an identical build in my back pocket for a rainy day. It came once I had to solo deep dives to progress through the seasonal story. I kept trying to play aggressive and that just wasnt the play and I really didn't want to switch to solar since I was having so much fun on arc.
Hey Mac, I just up and decided to start trying out Arc Titan yesterday, and then this video flies into my feed. Comedic timing or not, I'm so excited to see it in action
I think this is the first video I've actually approved of, but cuirass thundercrash every minute is still funky and point contact monte carlo is still fun. Arc Titan just isn't a complicated subclass and its simplicity stands out. Basically I cba to care about keeping regen buffs active in place for double TC dmg.
The healing class ability is definitely very creative and honestly a life saver but instead of the orbs while amped I personally think that spark of ions is better since it allows more ability recharge since your abilities such as reaper and pulse creating orbs super easily and since hands on is only 1 power this season its even easier, also thunderclap is better in my opinion since you dont need to use the full charge, but shoulder charge does give more utility mobility and unstop stunning capabilities but overall amazing build that I’ll definitely add to my lodouts
If you run it even once you'll feel a drastic difference between the 2. Shoulder charge is definitely better in most situations with champions especially and amplitude also helps start health regen on orb pick us where ions does not. You can nearly double your orb generation in a single strike and keep your armor charges topped off better which does more for cooldowns than a single ionic trace will do as well.
@@gibster9624with the setup and uptime on grenades jolted enemies become very common but this tends to be more for on level to lower end content while your setup is def better for hard content, i just run ions and thunderclap because I tend to play easier content which is why I prefer them
Returning player after years of no destiny lol Like your builds but can't put half of it together. How did you get stacks on stacks, elemental charge, and recuperation on the legs and still have the +10 stat mod? Mine is currently resilience (4 energy) but wouldn't even be able to do it with discipline at +10 (3 energy). Same problem with the arms, can't get bolstering detonation on. So how do you do it? Which should i not put on?
You don't need to watch any build crafter youtuber etc. if you know how things works and do your own research and find and tune with your own gameplay.
Mac love your builds man this build was my OG Titan build but armamentatarium seriously made me switch because of the elemental charge I get back from ionic trace from pulse nades and grenade kickstart mod i fry champs disgustingly fast.
I love this build but I got something you should try to make HOIL beyond busted. If you have a Deliverance or Iterative loop crafted with Enhanced Lead from Gold and Enhanced Demolition the down time of which you get your grenade back just doubles putting it back to pre nerf I’m not even joking, not to mention the orbs you collect giving your abilities even more uptick then you have your class ability which you can just aimlessly spam constantly giving you energy back plus the ionic traces I rarely use my weapons because I’m just constantly getting my abilities back so fast. Only time I use it is to top off my grenade or doing damage to the boss and that’s it. You should give it a go

Thunderclap still better in almost all scenarios. You make a big deal about fully charging thunderclap to get the maximum damage, but thunderclap is not the focus of this build. thunderclap is for the instantaneous activation of "empowered" and so you can keep your pulse grenade + thruster loop going. And it still much safer than shoulder charge since you are a good distance away from enemies when used in it's effective range. Also, in arc burn environments, a barely charged thunderclap with 1x empowerment will still one-shot red bars.
Artifact mods+building all ur armor mods into nade regen+100 discipline+infinite orbs does make it still feel ok, but to be honest armamentarium now feels better.
Nah, armamentarium is garbage compared to HoiL, but yeah, after nerf HoiL feels clunky, a lot of time you won't have a chance to use your bonus dmg on abilites and only use it for a faster cooldown.
I’ve been using a build similar to this this one, I’ve been able to gild my conqueror last season and this season with it, all without seasonal artifact mods. I like my build to play consistent and predictable, so for about 4 seasons I’ve been making them without artifact mods. This arc titan build is the one that stood the test of time!
Solo Legend or Master lost sectors, play GMs or even Master nightfalls, play weekly playlist activities for the exotic engram. Just play the game, basically.
Thunderclap deserves more credit because it's the fastest, easiest, and safest way of activating Empowerment because the other 2 melees require you to wind-up and fly into danger
Forebearance, Ikelos SMG (here he uses the V2 with demolitionist but I think any will work), Centrifuse, Trinity Ghoul, maybe Tarnished Mettle, Coldheart

Okay so if I throw a grenade, and then booster-slide. Does my grenade get enhanced damage even tho I thru it first? Or only if I booster first to get the buff on screen and then just have tl throw it before the boost runs out. Does my question make sense? Any answers help guys thanks.
@@Madmaxjsyci I checked DIM and best I can do is a kinetic shotgun with subsistance one-two punch, Dead Weight with Grave-robber, or other arc shotguns with stuff like trench barrel or pugilist. Thanks for the tip though, I'll keep looking!
@@mikemckinley77 Gambit is the way to farm for that perfect Dead Weight roll. If you are like me and hate Gambit, then I wish you all the 🤞. I fortunately got it second go.
Use whatever you want, this build is about abilities, not weapons. The only recommendation I can give to you is demolitionist on any primary/special weapon if you're struggling to keep ability uptime.
It really comes down to just weapons at this point. I think the mods on the armor are good but every titan more or less uses this build or a small variation. Would use void but jolt is good for champions, and switching the seasonal artificial to void is not something a lot of us are willing to do.

It has a 10 second cooldown which is really bad just for one extra ionic trace every 10 sec

That melee trick isnt only on arc titans! Offensive bulwark and Roaring flames also allow regular melees to count as charged!

Yes, the initial hit will jolt the target and the subsequent damage will cause jolt to chain to nearby target.

go to a knight in a gm and he will bash you like a Spanish mother with a sandal, ur dead.
One-two punch shotgun on an arc titan is the best way to suicide in GMs, lmao, you're not an Assassin's Cowl hunter, mobs will shred you in a second.

Solo Legend or Master lost sectors, play GMs or even Master nightfalls, play weekly playlist activities for the exotic engram. Just play the game, basically.

Thunderclap deserves more credit because it's the fastest, easiest, and safest way of activating Empowerment because the other 2 melees require you to wind-up and fly into danger

Forebearance, Ikelos SMG (here he uses the V2 with demolitionist but I think any will work), Centrifuse, Trinity Ghoul, maybe Tarnished Mettle, Coldheart

Okay so if I throw a grenade, and then booster-slide. Does my grenade get enhanced damage even tho I thru it first? Or only if I booster first to get the buff on screen and then just have tl throw it before the boost runs out. Does my question make sense? Any answers help guys thanks.
Your question does make sense and the answer is no. The buff has to be on screen before you use the ability, doesn't work after.

Personally, Maven suggested an arc one two punch shotgun ( Dead Weight) on a similar build, and boy does it work.

@@Madmaxjsyci I checked DIM and best I can do is a kinetic shotgun with subsistance one-two punch, Dead Weight with Grave-robber, or other arc shotguns with stuff like trench barrel or pugilist.

I fortunately got it second go.
Use whatever you want, this build is about abilities, not weapons. The only recommendation I can give to you is demolitionist on any primary/special weapon if you're struggling to keep ability uptime.
Can't equip bolstering detonation although I only have used 7 out of 10 energy and it costs only 2 please can someone help me out? 😅

Already got one its outdated a bit since it was made when we had the old mod system but just copy the mods that replaced the old ones

It really comes down to just weapons at this point. I think the mods on the armor are good but every titan more or less uses this build or a small variation. Would use void but jolt is good for champions, and switching the seasonal artificial to void is not something a lot of us are willing to do.
