    Well done with the explanation.

Schrader valves can be had fully threaded. Schrader valves are universally used including for high pressures. I think the idea that presta hold pressure better comes from hope rather than reality. It seems that the one advantage of presta is the smaller rim hole, and that only a useful advantage on very narrow rims. Otherwise presta seems to fit the idea of "why do simple when you can do complicated?". Seems people will pay more for a bike with presta valves......

I don't think they had those full metal schraders when I was kid, at least I never saw them until about maybe 12 years ago. What a great improvement!

Thanks for the explanation. My wife's road bike from the 1990s has the presta valves and I could never figure them out. Too simple!

Thank you for the explanation. Good info. For future videos, please try to minimize saying "ummm" after every sentence. It distracts from your subject. It will definitely improve your future broadcasts. Sorry, had to put that out there.

Presta valves have been common on British road & touring bikes for at least sixty years. Shraeder valves became common in the eighties with the introduction of mountain bikes and lower pressure tyres which suited Schraeder valves at the time, Presta being better for the higher pressures needed for road bikes. So Presta valves haven't become 'popular' on road bikes recently - !

Well done 👏 mate simple words explained to the one's who find "Presta" and others a jigsaw puzzle... do we not have real engineers 🤔 who cud invent a simple valve on a bicycle...try do pumping @ night-time 👁😰🌌☔ wheñ u have a flat and miles away from 🏡. At least the Śhraeder" u cud pump a wheel with eyes closed! But yr rite it takes people time ⏲ to change over .... but I still feel the new (Presta) is not the answer 4 a quick flat if stranded !!! 🏞 Eveñ though out 4 year's.

If we wanted to be honest about it. Presta valves are stupid because the shrader has worked just fine for the longest time and its less complicating most of the time and people want to make more hassle, by having to look for my oh well hang on where did it go.? Well i had it in my pocket. I must have drop it on the trail. Oh well ill just push my bike now because i have lost my adapter. And who carries a bike air pump with them on their bike?

Different standards suck. Eu has to ban presta like they did to different phone chargers...on other hand what i just said sound a bit communistic. Damn!

    " Why so many valves " ?
    Two is so many ?
he doesn't see the need for a valve cap on a presta ??? dirt/ mud / moisture can enter those tiny holes and clog them up .
