Thank god for this video. Was still confused on how to get the clip-on fitting correctly but actually seeing it get done helped a lot. The directions that came with the product were awful. Love the wallet though.
Ok. Guessing Ridge changed the design. It appears that I only needed to remove the one side with the money strap. That strap was not connected to the inner strap holding the cards in. Maybe an updated video is needed to save someone from taking both sides off.
Money clip or strap? Which one does everyone recommend? I got the carbon fiber with strap. Kinda thinking I wanna go with the clip with AirTag but want thoughts first
Very helpful! My wallet already had the "money clip" elastic belt on the front side, so when I removed the back plate, the Ridge elastic money band came off with just that step. Maybe they ship some with the "money clip elastic already in place? Anyway, saved a few mins and I have a spare elastic. Mine is the "stonewashed titanium" if that matters. Also, I'm using the Airtag money clip, but same install process.
so you could flip the cash strap around and have both on your wallet at the same time. Since I use the money clip to clip the wallet to my pocket that would be helpful for me.
You can definitely use both the money clip and the cash strap on the wallet at the same time. You wouldn’t even have to flip the cash strap around, which would save some steps. If you want to add the money clip to the front side, just remove the screws from the front plate, add the money clip, and screw the front plate back on. That would be a much simpler process than shown in the video because you wouldn’t need to do anything to the elastic band/cash strap.
@@ryanprice9238 Update: Yes, in my case the screwdriver from The Ridge was rounded by the screws. The first screw I tried to remove was stripped and the screwdriver received a bit of damage. I tried a second screw and it was stripped and the screwdriver ended up too damaged to continue with it. I used another screwdriver (not from The Ridge) to remove a third screw and I was only able to do so after a great deal of effort. This time only the screw resulted damaged the screwdriver was not. Further attempts were not successful. Overall I was able to remove 1 screw. I contacted The Ridge for new screws and they sent me a new wallet instead. The new wallet did not have this problem with the tight screws. The original wallet was bought from Amazon. The second wallet came directly from The Ridge so I do not know if this affected the outcome somehow.

I have been in contact with The Ridge and they would like me to return the product. This is a little disappointing, the reason for buying this, is that it is a premium product but the screws aren’t up to standard
Some wallets do not come with a clip. It seems like some of the less expensive wallets come with one or the other, but more premium wallets seem to come with both.
There's a LOT of this video that could've (*should've?) been edited out. Why do we need to watch him opening the package or removing every single screw?

I just didn't remove the cash strap. Now I have two ways to store my cash. The front for the clip and the back for my strap. Yay.
Could this work on other slim wallets?
My stacks too big and broke the money clip. Unfortunately, it's in Canadian dollars so the money is next to worthless.
Just trade em in for bigger bills. Couple hundo would fit then for the rest just rubber band em lol

Use the money strap not the clip. The top two screws will strip out over time because of the pressure of bills and the clip will constantly slip free.

My original wallet with strap fitted came with the extra strap required for use with clip.

Same here, the screws are stripped easily; even if you use the same screwdriver that came with the wallet.
Did you find the screws very tight? They rounded the T5?

If you're not planning on keeping the cash strap, you can just take off the one side, and use scissors to cut off the cash strap to save some time.
