It wouldn't likely make a difference since it's an Atkinson cycle. The valve timing literally leaves the intake open for a moment during the compression stroke for better fuel economy and emissions (bigger expansion ratio than compression). It also creates a positive pressure of pre-mixed air and fuel into the intake manifold for the other cylinders to suck in, reducing vacuum loss.
@@DriveBreakFixRepeat ah damn. I’m actually looking to do this. To a Prius for a daily driver but one that I can also track. I crossed up between a Miata daily driver/spec race car and a Prius. Idk the kind of Gas mileage a Miata gets on the daily but I know the Prius is crazy. What would you do having done this?
Aw man this look so fun. I own a 2013 model 4 prius with the solar package. Would love to drive on track for fun lol
I’ve often wondered if it would be blue to swap a Corolla engine in one of those and gt that to work with the hybrid drivetrain.
Whats nice you can sit there with the ac on in comfort without burning fuel between sessions
Was that a Second-Gen Prius at 1:03? :) Dude, you just got pwnd! ;) Still looking for those air dam and traction control mods! Keep it coming! :)
Early Gen III. Guessing it was stock.

I own a fourth gen Prius what's the first mod you think I should do to it to get it ready for track day?
Same thing as any other car: high-temp brake fluid.
@@DriveBreakFixRepeat thanks
Did you install a cold air intake ?

Do you still have this? I’m looking to do a Prius for this.
Nope. These videos aren't getting enough views so I put it back to stock and sold it.

@@cecilracing53 for a daily driver use the Michelin Defender tires, with the stock wheels 195-65-15
