I followed your advice on the cover model. But after doing a test fit, rather than try to force the side rails against the bed side, I marked off the areas of interference and trimmed the side rail structure to clear the bed rack side support member. The side rail fits well with no additional force needed. It rolls up readily, deploys well and does not leak
You mention you can fit a trifold cover but won't be able to open it. Would a bakflip mx4 fit? I have a drawer system so I don't need to open/flip the cover up to access the contents in the box. More for security.

I’ve been eyeing on Victory products for when I at last get myself a 3rd gen Tacoma. Also I’ve been thinking of going for Diamondback Tonneau cover. Would it be possible for Victory to engineer a rack system that works with Diamondback metal tonneau? Tonneau doesn’t have to flip up open, but I really like the secure feeling of their (Diamondback) metal tonneau.
That cover takes up so much of the bed rail space that we can't really make a rack system for it. If you weren't going to open the cover anyway, maybe there is a lower profile cover option?
Disregard these folks concerned about how you pronounce “tonneau” cover. Honestly, you’re the one vendor I could find to purchase a bed rack for my Tundra that: 1.) I dont have to spend the price of a used car on 2.) Provides a very sturdy platform for an RTT and other accessories WHILE accommodating at least one tonneau cover variant (a competitor vendor has something similar, but Im seriously concerned about their load bearing offroad) 3.) is modular 4.) gives a bonus functionality (although subtle, but functional) grab handle at the ends of the rack 5.) designed the rack with full use of the length of the bed on the Crewmax. All those things considered is why after about a month of researching and pondering, I finally bought your company’s bed rack. Now hopefully I can get it delivered in time before my Christmas trek. 🙏
I think a retractable would be easy just push or pull, say a pic of a set up before was thinking of doing PACE EDWARDS SWITCHBLADE RETRACTABLE TONNEAU COVER do u think ur bed rack would work with that ?
The recommended cover is relatively inexpensive, always works and once modified slightly to fit works great. I have a roll up cover on my Ram and while I love it, its heavy and much more complex.

That is definitely a better option, but people are afraid to cut things sometimes.

No, I installed the bed rack, then test fit the cover. Worked well
