how much of the game you can beat with only cappy
It seems like Cappy can only hit each enemy once per throw, so it can't hit anything twice (like something wearing a hat) with one throw. That's why knocking off the pokyo's hat, capturing the light wires, uncapturing, and then hitting the pokyo again works.
does that mean it's basically impossible against enemies that needs to be hit multiple times? (regular broodals don't count because the multihat bosses do have weakspots where you can hit despite hats, but I believe the 2nd broodal mom fight has the chain chomp with multi-hats.. though that boss is optional so there's that I guess.)
for people who don't know: it took Smallant more than 16 hours to beat the ruined fight lmao

At the start of the video I thought to myself "Didn't someone play this already?" When you got to Ruined I remembered that Smant's attempts at the ruined fight took multiple streams.

imagine this mod in 2 player mode, how many times do you think the one playing cappy will win just by captureing somthing and then killing mario when they relese it
It would be like the player has control over cappy but only Mario can throw him
I think the reason Cappy went through the Uproot is because he was coming back from a Piranha Plant's mouth, so he was ignoring all collision.
I've seen others play this mod, capturing an Uproot IS possible.

@@cjya Would be funny if the 100ft noclip also made captures impossible, but I think I saw you get them after it was triggered so probably not. More likely just really picky hitboxes
He misses every time except the last one where he put crappy in the pirahana. So basically he cheated!!!!!!
He’s lucky he didnt play the old version that Smant did, would’ve loved to see him suffer even more 👍

@@toast99bubbles yea updated a little i think because in the older versions you were not able to turn with cappy on your head, had to grab a ledge or get hit. cjya also "cheated" like 5 times because he either thought it was not possible, to hard or it glitched but it does not really matter just saving time.
I love seeing the different strats each person comes up with. You were pretty smart with your approach.
For a sec I thought this man was gonna do the dragon fight. He made a healthier choice.
Cappy can only hit an enemy once per throw, so it’s not exactly a glitch it’s a game mechanic. If you were right beside the enemy and threw cappy you could hit them twice easily without him leaving Mario’s head.
Cappy just wants to do his regular stuff, he just misjudges his speed and doesn't slow down when hitting Mario, killing him by slamming into Mario's head 🥲
The visual of Mario just dropping ass first through the floor is so funny to me
I clicked on this video, curious as to what the mod is, and then i heard it, and remembered, and feared, the dragon
Then he skipped the dragon because it only took Smant 16 HOURS to beat the fight which is just insane

I think the reason Cappy went through the uproot was because it has been in a Piranha plant's mouth. I believe Crafty said somewhere that if Cappy is on a scarecrow or in a Piranha plant it will disable collision for a while.
Cappy also goes through walls if you get too far away, so intentionally trapping him doesn't work
That is not the reason, because in several occasions crappy just went right through something. The real reason is crappy can only hit a specific thing once per throw

Cappy is a demon that has captured mario's soul. Thats why when he captures you go into the enemy, but when he reaches your body he sends you to the underworld.

i think i know why it was going through the capture in wooded and thats because once you throw it then it cant hit something twice without throwing it again meaning if you got it to capture for example the binoculars it would work

I had an idea similar to this, but you play in 2 player mode and crappy tries to kill you by getting you off ledge or into lava or getting hit. Not just touch you to die.
