I tried to speedrun this game a few days ago. I got like 2 and a half hours in and I left in Bowser's Kingdom, which is more of a speedwalk than a speedrun. Compared to that, this is like a Usain Bolt run.
OMFG. My chemistry teacher did the EXACT same thing with me!!! He had a challenge he issued out every year he ever taught where if someone could memorize and perform (actually sing, not just say) The Elements Song in class and then perform it on the school morning announcements broadcast, he’d give them an A. This man had been teaching for ages, and I was the very first kid to ever take him up on the challenge, and I actually did it. Thing is, I sucked at chemistry in general (I got the basic concepts, but when it came to applying them, my brain simply didn’t get it), so he had to pull me aside long after the fact, close to the end of the semester and tell me that he couldn’t justifiably give me that A. I ended up squeaking through with a D-, just barely passing. Still can perform The Elements Song though, so at least I got a neat party trick out of it.

I think that a world peace percent would be interesting. This run would be following all of the story, then the darker and darkest side of the moon, and defeating the bosses in mushroom kingdom.
It Really puts it into perspective how much you have to refine your skill to do these speedruns. In EZscape's video he paid one of the top mario 64 speedrunners of all time to speedrun mario Odyssey. And after an entire week of practicing on stream using smallant's guides, his absolute best run was worse than smallant's run which he called "Horrendous". It's just incredibly interesting to compare the skill level between the Follower of the guide and the creator of the guide.
