This was hard to do to myself, especially parting the bangs from the hair. It didn't help that all I had was a pair of blunt brow trimmers and a hairbrush, but now I look super cute and the envy of all my friends! Thanks for this vid x

YES!!!!! FINALLY A True Expert that I could follow step by step easy side swept bangs. 😲 I have tried to do it thru other you tubers and quiet frankly they were not experts and probably following other videos.

This saved my awful bangs..lol. I cut my bangs the other day (tried to do straight across blunt), and man did they turn out awfullll. Watched this, and recut them evenly, using the comb method, thinned them out with some sheers I had, and now they look 100% better! Thankful I seen this video, lol.

Last time I got my hair cut, the hairdresser literally said "I don't know a lot about cutting bangs". That's such a basic thing to know and it was alarming. She did an okay job on them, but they weren't as good as this. Still better than the person I went to before who literally twisted my bangs together, snipped them, then point cut them to even them out. They were rounded so I couldn't move them side to side at all. I also asked for face framing layers and she proceeded to cut layers through all of my hair, creating a sharp V-shape in back. 🤦♀️ I had to go to someone else to cut off 6 inches of hair to get rid of the V.
Im impressed! You seem to know the right ways to create the look, rather than doing your thing and saying thats what i want....the golden rule of hair styling.

That does it. I'm cutting my own bangs like this from now on. I've gone to five different stylists in the past year and nobody is able to cut them right. (Before anyone freaks out I've cut my own bangs before and they looked fine, the technique just wasn't as good as this.)

Corona quarantine got me out here thinking I can cut my own bangs
i cut my hair at a salon yesterday and she cut my bangs so badly she didnt even do a triangle just like a line straight across my forhead i tried to tell her how i wanted it but i gave up. also myhair looks really bad like when u cut your barbies hair as a kid she literally just cut it off

This happens to me anytime I go to a salon. I have given up and just cut my hair at home. Thankfully I'm trained but even before I was, I would never let anybody touch my bangs

I've watched many hair dressers cut my hair over the years. So I know what I was looking for even tho I didn't know the exact technique and why. You spelled it out very clearly. I took the Nestea Iced Tea plunge and cut my bang/fringe. I was relatively happy, so I made myself stop. When they grow out, I'll review your vid again. Suffice it to say, I'm very very happy with my current results. You have the teaching technique down. Many who have done 'pro fringe cut' vids are pros in their own view only. They could stand to learn a lot from you! Thank you SO much for posting this tutorial!
I know all these methods yet never learned them, I just know! Layered my mother’s hair beautifully when I was eleven. Always cut my own hair and my kids’ hair. I wanted to thank you for the instructional video because it’s given me more confidence that I’m doing it right. What I’m not so great at are waves/curls. Could you do a tutorial on those, as well?

I did this and it worked! Makes a MAJOR difference! I combed my hair straight up and removed all the "weight" that stuck out and the results are incredible! I LOVE it. And I did it at home! Thanks a million Salonguy! Oh and I didn't even use thinning scissors like you did at the end. Just removing the "weight" that you said...the results are great!

This is very informative. I wondered how that was done. My hair is poker straight and I like the soft wispy bangs. This will greatly help since my bangs grow so fast.
I use this to cut my daughter’s bangs when they start getting in her eyes. I start at minute 5 for a refresher on the shorter bangs. Thank you! So helpful! My husband hated her bangs the first time a cut them but now they look much better.

This video was so helpful! Your explanations and tips were easy to understand. I loved the trick about finding the parts for your bangs. That has historically always been where I mess up. Now I've got bangs that can be swept to both sides and lay naturally. You're the best!

How many years have you been cutting hair ? I absolutely love your techniques. You're very artistic and I love how you are so confident with those shears. The lady that cut my bangs cut them straight across and they look horrible. I have curly hair, so after they dried......well, they kinda frizzed up and eventually disappeared...I'm unsatisfied, but nothing I can do now but just never, never, never go back to her.

goth gf i have curly hair and got bangs on summer(june) yes i do straighten my bangs till this day. My hair is damaged but when i straighten it you can’t tell so yolo
I have curly hair and straight iron my bangs. It only takes a few minutes and I prefer the look of having curly/wavy hair with straight bangs vs everything being straight.
Marichat_shipper I have curly hair too and my stylist gave me fantastic bangs! Depending on my mood, I can wear them curly or blown straight or flat ironed. I say try it!

One of my college friends (6'4', red hair, 300 pounds and very theatrical) was given a hair salon by his lovely and well intentioned parents. He was cutting a clients bangs, combed them down over her face and with a grand flourish snipped off the tip of her nose along with the hair. He shrieked a little, ran out of the door and never came back to the shop!

I just watch a video on how to fringe my bangs by Adriana Braje.My daughter had cut my bangs a few days ago by gathering them all together and then twisted them all together then she cut the ends off then she combed them and they were so crooked but she then cut them trying to make them straight but they still didn't look right.So I followed the steps Adriana showed and cut them myself and they turned out great.I do love how you show the different ways to cut bangs and you show how simple it is do each style.When my bangs need to be cut again I will come back and watch your video and try your steps because I do like to switch different styles on my bangs.I have a large forehead and need bangs to hide it.Thanks for sharing your video.
