Nice video, I can see that it has 2 m.2 ssd slot, and 1 traditional sata ssd/hdd slot. which gives you three memory.
2tb ssd, 512tb ssd, and 2tb ssd sata will give you 4.5tb of memory. Nice.

After you unscrew the bottom the first thing you should do with these laptops is loosen the bearings holding up the screen a little bit because they're too tight for the thin flexible plastic casing around the screen. The pushing up of the screen every day eventually caused a crack on the left side of the screen casing for my FX705DT it showed up earlier this year.
Looks like you'll have to take out the cooling system to do that though but not sure if the bearings are attached to the cooling system or the cooling system is just sitting next to the screws, and possibly the metal plating underneath is keeping it in place too.
From what other people have shown they make the bearings on Asus laptops a bit too tight i've seen some photos of the whole side totally broken off and it's always the left side, why it doesn't do it to the right side i've no idea.

Upon opening, the metallic sticker of the half-exposed SODIMM ram had been floating in the case and WILL NOT re-adhere. Is it safe to use WITHOUT removing the black papery sticker covering both of them? I don't care if it's there, I don't care about heat displacement on SODIMM. No, there are no identifying markers or numbers on these stickers or the paper. It is the set of parts next to the un-grated fan on the right.

Actually, yes there are 2 M.2 slots. With that said, are they both Gen4 ? That's doubtful, but you can put 2 Gen3 M.2 SSD's in the F17 ! I got one 2 weeks ago, and just bumped the RAM to the 32GB max yesterday. I'll probably get 2 M.2 2TB Gen3 SSD drives for it, running around 3,500/3,000 MBs. Plenty fast for a non-gaming rig.

I have this same laptop, but my battery is the full width of the device. I have the hard drive port on my motherboard, and I'd be tempted to pickup a hard drive cable to connect a 2.5" SSD for more storage if I could swap out for a smaller battery. That being said, the battery life is already awful (around 2 hours with just web browsing), and I worry about making it even worse. What's your battery life with that battery, and what type / size of battery is it?

    • @khoado0403

I am trying to find out how to remove the motherboard. But I have yet to see a video that dismantles the motherboard. The reason being. I gave my laptop for service and the guy was very stressed when he came out. It was my mistake. When I was turning the laptop I heard a sound inside like a small screw or plastic part was moving. But it stopped moving. I asked him and he said what. I shook the laptop then no sound. there were a lot of people at the service center and lot of sounds so I did not take it seriously.
I got a new SSD so I installed it myself. The screw at the back that is under the hinge on the right hand side (or your left hand side since your hands look like you are standing on the other side.) which is the corner screw near the CPU fan.
My CPU fan stopped working so I think the heat must have made the plastic brittle.
So when I tried to remove the screw. It was not opening. Now I could not go back to the service center as they said if you open the laptop yourself the warranty is void.
For a moment I thought let me just take the laptop back and ask them to clean it which is free under warranty then they will have to deal with opening the screw.
But I like an idiot decided to open it and the plastic moulidng like stars around the metal thread broke. While I was trying to remove it when I moved the laptop I heard the same sound.
Then I realized that the service executive must have turned it a little too tight and since the plastic was brittle it broke.
    So I fucked up.
Then I tried holding it up and that broke the entire threading from the plastic. Somehow I pulled it out.
Now it is inside without a screw I have kept the screw.
Now the problem is I have 1 year warranty left and my Intel Display gave me a problem once with some ghost band but now it is ok.
Where i live there are different level of repair guys who repair broken laptops. They melt in the plastic or use some liquid and even remold plastic parts of laptops.
But they are not really hardware experts.
So I want to know how to remove the motherboard from the inside panel.
So when they do I can monitor it. Because Asus has a habit of keeping some hidden screws on purpose. So you miss it and then you break it and the warranty is void.
So they can mold it and even if it not perfect it can't be seen.
Since it is under the motherboard and under the hinge.
So in case I have to give it for warranty or service again I can easily give it and not void my warranty.
    I have to keep searching..
