Dark Souls 3 - How To Farm For Covenant Items Offline

- In this video I will be demonstrating the method I use to farm for covenant items offline. This is a necessity if you are going for the covenant reward items and cannot access the online option in the game. I walk you through the basics and which bonfires to farm near for maximum time conservation and efficiency in each run. Every item farmed in this video has a rare drop rate status.
ITEMS:
0:13 Wolf Blood Swordgrass - Can be farmed from the Ghru Grunts and Ghru Elders in the Farron Keep.
1:22 Pale Tongue - Can be farmed from the Dark Wraiths in the Farron Keep.
2:18 Vertebrae Shackle - Can be farmed from the skeleton swordsman in the Catacombs of Carthus.
3:08 Human Dregs - Can be farmed from the Devout of the Deep (Blue Robed Deacons) in Irithyll of the Boreal Valley.
5:23 Proof of a Concord Kept - Can be farmed from the Silver Knights in Anor Londo.
6:23 Sunlight Medal - Can be farmed from Lothric Knights throughout the Lothric Castle. - เกม
PSA: If no one already knew, the new covenant, Spears of the Church, their covenant item, Filianores Spear Ornament, can be farmed off of Ringed Knights in the Ringed City DLC. One of them randomly dropped it for me, I'd imagine it's a low drop chance like other covenant items
IIRC, you also get one every time you kill halflight, guardian of the church. you can re-do the fight multiple times per playthrough by paying some souls to the purging monument and restoring the king's decree.

Decided to gather all the rewards just for completions sake.... took me forever and 3 days.... good thing they also give a decent amount of souls and titanite scales.

Had to share this with anyone farming proofs of concord kept from the silver knights.
Raise your item discovery and use rusted coins with the works (avarice, crystal rapier etc). my discovery was only 450ish on a sl75.
Now what i found is that, after every proof of concord that dropped for me i exited to the main menu in hopes of resetting the drop counter. Believe me this works wonderfully. I got around 15 in just over an hour once i started doing it. Seems the drop counter is resetting upon exiting and loading our character profiles from the main menu screen.

@@marwanghaith2790 When you see the concord dropped after picking up the drops, do you need to confirm it by pressing the button or do you exit after seeing it in the hotbar?
leo282 I play on the PS4 and for the record i always confirm picking up drops by pressing X. Its a force of habit. I dont think it should make any difference.

If you want to farm concords and human dregs at the same time, what I do is go to the anor londo bonfire, kill the 3 silver knights, then run to the aldritch bonfire and kill the devotes of the deep on the way, sit at that bonfire and run back to the anor londo bonfire killing everything again

This is the most positive and straight forward video of farming offline. This 8 minutes will give you hope where the actual farming will drain hope and sanity as it will take any where from 10 to 20+ hours to get all of these needed for the trophies.
Here is some equipment you should be wearing to help any time you are farming:
Crystal Sage's Rapier in your left hand(this is the one you get from Crystal Sage's boss soul (you do not need to meet its requirements)
Covetous Gold Serpent Ring (if you have the DLC you can the +3 version in the Ringed City)
Symbol of Avarice (you will need Undead Hunters Charms to throw at Mimics until this drops, do not kill the Mimic until you get this helmet)
Rusted Coins(or their Gold variant, buy from Patches and use them every 60 seconds to boost item find)
Good luck, and don't go hollow.

P.S. the don't go hollow thing is a meme and just a lore thing. If you're hollow in game at this part that will change nothing about farming.
I'm in NG+6 and I've never bothered with ANY of the covenants so thanks for these tutorials, even though I can farm them online it's good to have a 2nd option.

Farming covenant items online is such a pain because 99% of the time I invade or am summoned by some cancerous meta-Mancer, thank you for easing my pain good sir.

The "drop rate" is at least "bigger" than offline. I had to farm for 2 hours for a Vetebra Shackle and got nothing.

Kovács Bertalan They probably had to get it up there via the bridge above the wolf's room, meaning they went through Farron Keep and Crucifixion Woods, through the Undead Settlement, and across the bridge to get it there.
The Watchdogs of Farron were dedicated af.

Good, solid, no-nonsense video. One amendment I'd suggest: I found it a little easier to farm the Human Dregs starting at Aldrich's bonfire and killing the eight Devout of the Deep in the Anor Londo Cathedral rather than doing the ones upstairs from Sulyvahn. But I'm on PS4 and so I wanted to avoid the loading screens as much as possible, so it was important that I run back to the bonfire instead of using the Coiled Sword Fragment to warp back. If you're on PC and warping, then the route you suggested in the video is the better one.
Thank you for showing the best bonfire, the actual enemies to farm AND showing a clip of them dropping the Covenant items.

Small but usefull tip for the Skeletons in Catacombs: Use a strike weapon at them, it will dela more damage than other types and makes them falll apart. Much easierthis way.

and also the rusted coins because those help out a lot

Very well made and informative video to maximise chances while farming wear a gold serpent ring and the crystal sage rapier transposed from the road of sacrifices boss. Those items boost your item discovery moderately which speeds up the process.

It all really depends, I'm going for the platinum and when I started farming for Concords I thought "Jesus Christ why is the drop rate so low?", foolish little me didn't know that I'd farm for 2 hours straight for the Vertebra Shackle and get absolutely nothing, while having to get 30 in total.

All of them are good, lothric castle farm is the best on here. Can rack up some embers as well and sublight medals dropped most regularly out of any of these for me.
After trying this, I can honestly say that the Wolf's blood swordgrass is the item that drops more often. On the other hand, the Vertebra Shackles are easily the hardest one to get. I farmed for like an hour and I only got two. I have no idea how I'm going to get that covenant's reward smh

I found the concords harder than the shackles
I think pale tounges are easier.
all covenant items drop rate is fucked
playing this game a few weeks after launch, I'd get summoned as a blue spirit and be able to get 2-3 concord kepts, sometimes without even getting to a fight before all the invaders were killed. this would happen once every 5-6 mins of gameplay. I had 26 concords before I got to Yorshka my first playthrough.
but today, even at SL90, +9 which allows you to get matched with 100+ and people who are still working their way through the game, I don't get shit lol. it's not even that i want another DMB on a different character, I just want to be a Blue Sentinel lol, my favorite covenant

Thats what I love about the DS series, online PvP is there but is not needed to complete the game or even to get everything in the game, it makes getting these faster but all can be got offline, you can litterally play this forever if you wanted.

ehh its the same, the only thing that affects drop rates is your item discovery
Item discovery is like luck. The more item discovery you have the more likely things are going to drop from enemies. Things that boost Item Discovery are: Covetous Gold Serpent Ring, The Symbol of Avarice, Crystal Sages Rapier and Rusted Coins. Equip/Use these items when farming to have a better chance at the enemy dropping items!

Farron Keep parameter is also a good place to farm the Wolfsblood Swordgrass. First head to the hall behind the bonfire to kill 3 Ghru then head back and through the archway until you see the 2 Darkwraiths walking up the path to the left. Head back and let them slaughter most of the Grhu in the swamp area, then finish off the remainder along with the 2 Darkwraiths. Easy way to farm not only swordgrass and tongues, but souls, titanite shards, Darkwraith set parts, rotten pine resin, cracked redeye orbs, and ghru weapons.

In my almost 50 hours of playtime on my first play through, the Sunlight Medal only dropped once and I even farmed the knights for their set for a few hours too xD Gonna try again with Symbol of Avarice and all dem goodies to get my Item Discovery up

I'm trying to farm proof of concord kept and I've found that farming the 6 silver knights after the pontiff sulyvahn/aldrich faithful bonfires is far more effective than the anor Londo method

For me the vertebra shackles are way more harder to drop than the others.
Because even with my noluck i get the accords pretty fast besides i never get a shackle

I heard somewhere that every playthrough (NG+ and so on) gets you two covenant items for all covenants. If we play the entire game 15 times,will I get the reqd. No. Of covenant pieces?

I think the keep perimeters bonfire is best to farm. dark wraith take care of then most if the tike and chance of pale tounges

Im sure people will be coming back to this now that multiplayer is completely down for who knows how long. Me included.
Actually you can join rosaria's fingers and still join blades of the dark moon. But you can't offer rosaria pale tounges, Stat reallocation doesn't affect it though. So feel free to allocate stats even if you haven't joined blades of the dark moon yet.

If you wait at the door by the Farron keep perimeter bonfire, the Dark Wraiths will fight the Gru's and they kill each other. You can farm Wolf's blood swordgrass here too

Actually, you can kill two birds with one stone when farming for Proof of Concords and Human Dregs. Go to the "Aldrich, Devourer of Gods" bonfire and head down the steps which would've led to the boss fight entrance. You'll find three clerics there which you can surprise from behind. Kill those three, continue on, then head up the steps to the right and kill two more. That's five clerics you can kill for the possibility of gaining some Human Dregs. Then leave that area, continue on straight, and go for the two silver knights outside. The advantage of using this "Aldrich" bonfire is that you can surprise the Silver Knights from behind. If you put on the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring on it will disguise your footsteps so you can walk right up behind the Silver Knights and kill them. If you don't sprint they won't hear you walking up behind them. I use a maxed out Fume Ultra Greatsword and can kill the Knights in two charged up hits. By the time I get at least one Proof of Concord I will probably have at least 1 Human Dregs to turn in as well. You're welcome.

hey there is a tad bit of mis inormation here, first of all all lothoric kights can drop those wich includs the ones out side vordt and the dancer
second, you CAN join rosarias covonant first you just cant give her tongues

This is my first time playing ds3 and I always try to get every spell I can this is a life saver because I don't wanna pay for online when there's no guarantee I'll use it. Anyway this is off topic but what is that outfit it's amazing!
