    • @markntiri8251
      @markntiri8251 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In Africa the Safari countries are in East/South Africa. What Ghana is big on is cultural tourism, with the slave dungeons, the Asante culture etc. We may not be able to do the high tourism numbers the Kenyas and co do, but we should strengthen our safari experience/what people can get here.
      There's a mini safari 2 hours outside Accra at Shai Hills that should be fenced and populated with animals to increase patronage. The Wli waterfalls (highest in West Africa) in the Volta Region is also a major tourism asset that should be developed to be properly patronized. There should be brochures on these sites, they should be on the net, we should increase the experiential experience etc etc

    • @markntiri8251
      @markntiri8251 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was making reference to the full Ghana tourism package, where Ghanaian culture ESPECIALLY Asante culture is a big seller. I'm just speaking facts. I'm Ewe myself, but the Asante culture is dominant and is for all of us.

    • @markntiri8251
      @markntiri8251 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they came to the Salaga slave market what INFRASTRUCTURE would they see? As compared to the huge forts that inspite of their sad history are a big EVIDENTIAL proof of the slave trade?
      Get my point. For the big tourist people who globetrot to the big tourist spots the world over to sample different things, East/South Africa is for Safari tourism, Egypt would give them the pyramids, the Carribean would give them pristine beaches, clear water, Europe would offer European civilization etc etc. Ghana can't impress them with our "small" Afadjato, or our "insignificant" safari because other countries would give them these and more. What we have in abundance is CULTURAL tourism.

    • @markntiri8251
      @markntiri8251 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amongst us as Ghanaians and a few other people, the oldest mosque in Ghana, Salaga slave market, mystery stone etc would impress us and should be developed. But for the big tourism numbers in the millions that the likes of Kenya make we should highlight our unique selling point, the cultural tourism, where the dungeons, the Asante culture are the big impressive drawers, no need to argue about this.
      Ghana is been described as "Africa for the beginner", so it would be in our own interest to develop the other tourism sites so there's a big variety in beaches, wildlife, African culture, etc for people to enjoy
