  • Could this be the wildest sounding fuzz ever to grace the No Talk All Tone series? Today we are looking at the DemonFX fuzz works 7, which is pretty clearly inspired by the Zvex Germanium Fuzz Factory 7. If subtle fuzz tones are your thing, you are in the wrong place because this is total fuzzy destruction. We take the Demon FX Fuzz Works 7 through it's paces today and unlock every tone imaginable. Massive thanks to affoardaboard for sending this through to demo, get yours here at www.affordaboard-pedals.co.uk
    If you like these reviews and demos, don't forget to drop me a comment and let me know. By dropping a comment there, you will please the algorithm gods and make my videos more visible, which would be awesome. If you have one of these yourself, let me know how you are getting on with it yourself in a comment or a video response, I'd love to hear how it is getting on in your rig through different amps and guitars.
    The demo gear in this video is all run through Practical Patch cables, including instrument cables and patch cables. These are using some top-quality components, including Neutrik jacks and Van Damme cable and are hand-assembled and tested in the UK. After having off-the-shelf cables for years and suffering failures again and again, I bought some Practical Patch cables and have been happier than ever with them. They also don’t cost you the Earth, which some other hand made cable companies seem to do. If you want to find out more, head over to www.practicalpatch.co.uk to see what they have to offer.

    Putting this pedal in parallel with a distortion would sound awesome.
    Having the crazy noise at a slightly lower volume just adding character to a parallel tone could come in handy.....although it would probably sound good stacked in series too.
    Be cool to see how well it mixeds with ither pedals if you need a video idea lol

      That's a great idea. Getting the fatness of the fuzz but with more clarity of a less driven tone.

    Cool demo, thank you! I keep coming across these on my most frequented online marketplace and I was always intrigued by such amount of knobs (1 more than the Metal Zone! 🤣).

    I have the Fuzz Factory. I'm gonna assume this is the same thing. This thing is pretty much like building your own fuzz from a workbench, but you only have to turn knobs.This needs to be the first pedal in your chain if you want usable sounds. I would say 80% of people should avoid this pedal. The other 20% are going to make some cool noises and still wonder if it was worth the effort.

    • @BudgetPedalChap
      @BudgetPedalChap  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, it sure isn't for the faint of heart. I can see the noisy bits putting a load of people off but there are some fantastic tones to unlock if you're brave enough

      @legatomodi3522 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the fuzz factory 3rd in my chain. My trio+ is first then there's an effects loop in the trio and first in line is Chase Bliss Brothers and that goes into the FF. I usually set the brothers to "Boost into Boost" so alot of signal still gets to the fuzz factory, but its still playable without. I usually use a Japanese FF7, but I have a Russian ff7 and a vertical ff and a bliss factory. Zvex really knocked it out of the park with this pedal way back when. You can almost anything you want, and anything you want broken.

    I used to own an old fuzz back in early 70s, its shape was exactly like the Maestro fuzz tone. I can't remember or even imagine what it sounded like, but I was into Jimi Hendrix back then so it must have sounded at least a bit like his... it was the only means of 'distortion' I had when I started gigging, later on when punk came and we started doing serious gigs, large venues, I got me a Marshall stack, totally forgot about the fuzz pedal. Never knew what happened to it. It could be worth a small fortune today lol.

    I'm sorely, sorely tempted by this because because I've always wanted a FF7 but never been able to justify the £500 dent in my current account. However, at these prices I'm sceptical as to whether they're real AC128s though, or actually some dodgy Chinese clones.

      AC128’s aren’t hard to come by, and were never used in any good vintage pedals. The gain level of the transistors matters more than the screen print.

    • @charlescharlie_charles
      @charlescharlie_charles 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@drippinglass You're right that the gain is infinitely more important than what model they are or aren't. I think Zachary Vex has been using Russian transistors in the official ones for a while. I think what I really meant was that I was anxious about getting one with counterfeits that didn't sound very good.
