I'm not a Jew, but I love this classy, beautiful, Jewish Grandma. She's everyone's grandma. So much to learn from her. Sending lots of love and blessings her way !
God bless you Dina. I'm a Catholic grandma and I would give the same advice to my grandchildren. My family is Italian and they also did it hard during the war years. My mother taught me the art of living simply and especially not wasting food and sharing what we have with those less fortunate.
Wise lady, very wise. I sew, a gift I learned from watching my mother. She also taught us not to be wasteful, way before recycling and environmental consciousness became the norm. Sewing produces a lot of small pieces of fabric that normally get thrown out. Because my mother recycled just about anything, and in memory of her, I started a fabric wall art project using only the scraps of fabric from a years worth of sewing clothes for boxes going to the less fortunate children in Canada. This fabric art piece is a Monet inspired landscape of the view that surrounds us. A friend passed by while I was working on it and offered me $1,500. It’s not for sale but it’s surprisingly nice to hear that what I would’ve thrown out has this kind of value. Our lives are full of self induced stress and anxiety and tons of waste.
I love her , everything she says is common sense , something that has sadly been forgotten , and is much missed old skills ,ways of life when by and large people where happy with what they had , and although having to share rooms were never lonely , they learned to work things out ,with their siblings , so they knew how to work things out with colleagues etc . There where no school shootings back then imo
My mother handmade a simple, beautiful wedding dress for me. The only cost was for the materials. Simple ceremony in the yard with friends and family. Wouldn't have had it any other way because it wasn't about impressing people, it was about starting our life together .
I was raised like this, with a common sense!! You don't just throw away stuff, food, clothes but look at the ways to use, re-use, repair or give away if you can. Where did this attitude go today? People listen to the advice as eye opening but some people these things are and always were obvious, depending on upbringing.
The internet is a great source! I recently retired and decided to pick up sewing. I have learned so much on the TH-cam channel. The tutorials are awesome and I think all of “my teachers” love doing it on TH-cam. They get to teach the world. I have many tutorials saved.
My husband would be very unhappy with me if I tried to sew a button on his nice suits, lol. But Baruch HaShem, I was able to find an amazing wedding dress for $30 for my wedding at the local discount store.
I would love a grandmother like her. I came from a very distant fractured family. I’m slowly learning how to provide a different experience for my daughter. It’s challenging as I lack the skills and the support but I’m doing it!
Sometimes I wonder how uncommon is common wisdom. I m from India and I fully agree what the grandma is saying. How the people of same generation divided by race, language , nationalities have the same thought process
My mom taught all of us to sew including my brother. We could all sew simple patterns and of course sew on our own buttons. Military men need to be able to keep their uniforms in order. EVERYONE should be able to sew on a button!
The poor man sitting next to the practical frugal lady was literarily wondering when he'd be able to put the mike down 😂 I'm taking note of the wonderful advice. Cell phones 📱 have become the great pacifier. I'm getting some Cayenne pepper tomorrow to kerp the aunts at bay. ❤
I thrift for a living and man is she right! People throw away beautiful clothes because a button is missing or a hem is loose.Waste. She is a woman after my own heart! So wise.
Bring back basics. We need a generation from yesteryear to be reborn. A Renaissance. Do it yourself. Sew Cook Clean Be a parent Talk One phone Read books Pray Go to church Hold hands Be kind Learn to clean house Be creative on activities Be a good person Learn how to fix things
So much wisdom. however I NEEDED my own room. Just to read and exist without parents exhausting me and bother me all the time, hoping and praying they forgot I exist.
I’m not Jewish but I could listen to her advice all day.
Me too!.😊
And me I love her

@@carolineasebrook6643 thank you! Hope you have a wonderful day 💗
I was a retail manager and I hired this 72 year old Jewish lady. I loved her. She was amazing. Great advice. So sweet and my customers loved her !

I had a bubbi at work. I loved her like she was family. Italian girl here. Rest In Peace Beverly. I miss you everyday ❤
I'm 65 years young and I enjoy listening to Jewish Grandma!
65 is the new 50. My aunties in her 68 yrs old is crushing it with her new businesses, making friends and she has more energy than us. 😂
I do too wish I had her wisdom
Wisdom is wisdom, no matter the tradition. Thank you for teaching us, grandma!
I miss the days with my family at meals. The Jewish Shabbat is wonderful.
Not a Jew, but a great admirer. So many great points made by her…useful for all, not just her community…thanks.
Agree 100%
Love this Lady!
Grandma's rules for living a fulfilled life! It really should become the new Jewish handbook!
It's a very good handbook for people in general.
God bless you Dina. I'm a Catholic grandma and I would give the same advice to my grandchildren. My family is Italian and they also did it hard during the war years. My mother taught me the art of living simply and especially not wasting food and sharing what we have with those less fortunate.

Wonderful woman, we all need to get back to down to Earth.

I love her , everything she says is common sense , something that has sadly been forgotten , and is much missed old skills ,ways of life when by and large people where happy with what they had , and although having to share rooms were never lonely , they learned to work things out ,with their siblings , so they knew how to work things out with colleagues etc . Enjoyed your humor and truth. I am also an abuela. Praying for the Peace of Israel and region.

Grandma Dina ! Love to listen her advice ! Thank you from Tokyo!🍋
There is so much of this wisdom that needs to be communicated to our younger generations. Thank you, Jewish Grandma❤
I LOVE watching and listening to this wonderful woman. She reminds me of my NONA.
Superstar lady 😇

Oh I love her! She reminds me of my grandmother! If I wasn’t catholic, I would’ve loved being Jewish ❤
This Grandma is adorable & her advice & presence is sadly missed in modern lives. No substitute!
Dina is a bubby just like I've met many times over. I liked her shower story.

An absolute lovely lady.
My husband would be very unhappy with me if I tried to sew a button on his nice suits, lol.
But Baruch HaShem, I was able to find an amazing wedding dress for $30 for my wedding at the local discount store.
This lady and I seem to be on the same wavelength.
Thank you for the translations.
The shower rant. I love her!

She is a Proverbs 31 woman
She is so elegant, so well dressed, her hair done chic, and the wisdom she shares is wonderful!
The buttons. Men used to learn how to sew. They made a career of it. Everybody needs to learn how to survive. Your family may need to rely on you.
I know two wonder8men who sew! One us Jewish. The other is Gentile. ❤️❌️⭕️
My mom taught all of us to sew including my brother. We could all sew simple patterns and of course sew on our own buttons. Military men need to be able to keep their uniforms in order. EVERYONE should be able to sew on a button!
I agree with you , women let us take on the role God gave us also simplify our lives we can take nothing with us when we leave this earth.
I am not jewish. But my school taught basic sewing to boys too. Even sewing name on a hankie or sewing a button.
I love her so much!

This is encouraging me as a mother of eight in a small home!

He is 100% morally right. No genocide in Gaza.

Sometimes a very frugal life IS super boring. However, wasting is terrible. EQUILIBRIUM
Alchohol also stops ants too. You can also mixed xylitol in a spray bottle with water and spray the area they won't come in the area.
