Maraming salamat for featuring Filipino gardeners in your future video. I am a Filipino gardener but I am here in the USA. I wish it’s open to all Filipino gardeners around the world
Looking forward to seeing the video of Filipino gardens.
Cool to find out he's Filipino 😊😊
Your chickens can apparently eat the weed seeds out of your hay bales before use on the garden. Just learned this the other day.
looking forward to the Filipino gardens! ❤
Came for the garden ideas, stayed for the contrived transitions. ;'D
😂
“She’s giving the feet away for free…” cracked me right up… 😂😂😂
Honored to have my balcony featured on your channel and be picked by Jacque as one of is favorites ☺
It actually started because of a random tomato and your channel, so thanks for that as well!
Jacque was right with the flowers, I particularly planted those up front to attract beneficial insects, as I learned here. That whole picture is jampacked with details if you look closely: my cat is on there, some of the pots are recycled containers, the Zucchini there is a climbing one to maximize space,...
I'll be in the US very soon and use the opportunity to buy from your shop 😉
Beautiful garden my friend!
Love your garden! 💚🌱How do you deal with water run off to neighbors below?
@@grisespino5342 thank you!
To be honest, I was not dealing with the water run off at all. It’s the top floor and exposed to rain, so I strongly assume it was built to handle water.
But if you want to make sure, just get a tarp or something similar and spread it underneath. I tried that initially to bottom water all at once but noticed it’s not advisable for several reasons :/
Thank you for including my garden 7:35 . Planters are wrapped during winter season as we get really strong winds here on the island especially because it is facing the great sound. Love seeing different gardens all over the world.
Gorgeous Pauline!
I thought wind protection since the top is open. Great use of your picturesque garden in adverse conditions. Thanks for sharing!💚🌱
Thank you very much for featuring my garden, very honoured, and very nice comments from you. And by the way my garden is a frontyard garden in a very residential area breaking the monotony of squared grass !
It was gorgeous!
5:42 Brisbane. The chunky wood are called “sleepers”. Originally railroad timber used under the tracks. Now they are half the width but still sold for the same price
I was just about to tell them the same thing. My dad worked in the railway way back when and we had lots of old railway sleepers for gardens edges
They’re also pine and not hardwood
This is fantastic. So many TH-cam garden channels only show the best of their own gardens, you guys show the good and the bad and now also what your viewers are doing in their gardens. It's great to watch professional gardeners get it right all the time, but most of us aren't that and can't live up to it. This shows how great a garden can be in different parts of the world by regular people, many of whom have to make do with what they've got. That's where real inspiration comes from. Good job guys. Maybe make a viewer's showcase an annual or even seasonal video so we can see how different gardens from around the world look at different times of year?
06:45 It felt amazing to have my garden featured! ❤ Thanks guys ❤. Mine is a rented space, so my garden is mostly containers grouped together.
These segues are hilarious and awesome. Thank you for this content and exposure to all these lovely gardens!
Glad you enjoyed!
Shoutout to all my fellow Canadians, so many stellar gardens! Especially the one from Vancouver with all the flowers! WOW! Amazingly gorgeous!
Canadians rocked it!
Well, that was a cool surprise opening TH-cam and seeing my garden in a thumbnail! What an honor to be chosen as a favorite, thanks Kevin :) Yay Brisbane! My favorite is Robert's with that amazing ocean view... I'd never get any gardening done. Loved seeing everyone's gardens. Can't wait for the Filipino video as I'm planning on visiting next year.
Your garden looks great! Amazing work! 🎉
Rainy Sunday in Brisbane and catching up on your videos! Very excited to find our garden photo featured at 8:05 - I forgot I had made a submission! We wanted to let you guys know that we use organza bags on the fruit to prevent the Queensland fruit fly stinging it. The birds (king parrots and cockatoos) will still bite through the bags and the possums rip them off completely so we now leave some fruit without bags as the wildlife are pretty clever and take the fruit that's easy to access. That way we can reuse the bags because they are not half way up a gum tree or shredded to pieces. Also, I need to credit my fiancé Brendan for pretty much everything you complimented in our photo! Thanks for your great video.
You and your fiance have made a beautiful garden!
Thanks for showing my garden in progress. It is a challenge living in an area prone to drought and starting a garden from scratch in a spot with no topsoil. The self-watering totes/containers are so helpful when you are trying to garden and save water (you do have to be picky about where you get them from though and look for ones that were not used to transport chemicals).
Your garden looks awesome! Very inventive
Hey... There is this lady in Keya, Africa who is growing a garden in just enough time for the famine brought on by the drought. I have pics of her garden. Keep it up with the hilarity
Would love to see them ❤️
Finer segues have never been uttered than here today. 🥰 Seriously, it's really great to see how other regions of the world garden - proves once again that we are all really more similar than different.
Dang, I should have sent you a video of my garden! I’m in zone 11, 200 feet above sea level and growing is a CHALLENGE. Greetings from Virgin Islands.
I visit Japan recently; and was amazed at all the beautiful gardens I saw on my Trainrides. It seemed everyone who had a yard or some type of space was growing in it. ❤❤❤
Dianne’s garden in Vancouver island: all those colourful shrubs are rhododendrons in full spring bloom! I grow some too on the opposite coast of Nova Scotia. They are quite hardy and like slightly acidic soils, they also grow well in clay. Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you for letting us know what they were, I thought they might be rhododendrons, but being a lifelong Floridian gardener I wasn't positive. Sure was beautifully done!
The gardens are impressive, and I’m even more impressed that your viewers come from around the world! Very cool!
Please do another one of these videos. ❤
Thanks to all that submitted photos of your gardens! I love seeing the variety of garden styles. Looking forward to more in the future. When looking for submissions for the next video, maybe post on socials too. The TH-cam Community tab doesn’t show posts on all devices, such as tablets.
Wow that arch trellis in Entry 10 is incredible. Gonna have to try and add something like that to my garden
I wanted to say I love your channel- you stay on topic- with valuable gardening info. You don’t go political/radical and you don’t attack your viewers. You’re a wonderful example of how to run a helpful TH-cam channel
this is my favorite segment.
By a long shot.
I love garden education, but I also REALLY enjoy seeing that education being utilized and the personal forms that takes by those learning.
Can’t agree more. Would even enjoy having some more context to each garden l!
I might mimick some of these designs. My garden also needs more colors and diversity. Mine's currently an orchard but definitely want to add more flowers!
I can highly recommend flowers!
Helped me a lot with pollination and more importantly, reduced the pest pressure noticeably!
As a beginner gardener (more like container-planter 😅) I love seeing these diverse types of gardens, and not just “perfect” ones. This gives people, especially us newbies, more ideas to get inspiration
Would love to see your container garden! Maybe next time on this channel? 😁
@@eugeno2742 oh I don't know about that 😅. Just have mostly seedlings, and also managed to kill off a few plants I bought from nurseries 😭 i'm just about to start a new set of seedlings and I hope I get better results 🙏
@@Raphajr I'm as curious to see your garden as I am to hear about the challenges you are facing :P What troubles did you have with our seedlings and nursery plants?
@@eugeno2742 I'm in the Philippines, living in an apartment, so light and space are my main problems 😢 still hoping to grow at least some herbs and tomatoes. I know it's mostly a "me" problem because the adjacent neighbors on either side have thriving plants. I just need to do better, I guess 😅
@@Raphajr sounds like my current situation 😂 I moved and now have a small, east balcony, struggling with light, space and pest pressure. For next season, my plan is to plant out much sooner and earlier instead of leaving seedlings for months. As well as do better watering seedlings, was not great this season :/
And funny enough, my neighbour 2 floors below seems to have healthier plans, so it’s a „me“ problem as well 😅 After experience with my new location, I will focus on cherry tomatoes and forest strawberries next year + some herbs, so all plants that did ok this summer.
Will you do more international gardens? Or maybe Scandinavian gardens? I'd like to submit my garden!
Absolutely!
count me in. but how to fit everything in one picture. I need to include my rabbits. great fertiliser.@@epicgardening
@@epicgardening you should group them in climates: dry area gardens - cold area etc
@@epicgardening would love to have some context to each garden. Can be just 1-3 sentences on submission ❤️
I love all of the DIY, so many great clever ideas out there. Keep growin' folks!
Indeed!
The garden on Vancouver Island has a lot of rhododendrons, that's what you were seeing that were so colorful. We have them here in the PNW too. Beautiful!
I have really enjoyed looking at all the gardens from around the world. A lot of creative people out there.
Are you going to do more of these posts? Showing off other peoples gardens? Id like to see more of this. Might even post up a pic of mine.😊
What an absolute delight this issue was: international gardens. I have been watching you tube from the UK to tap into their horticultural expertise. Monty Don, move over. You certainly have a following, Kevin, since those first issues in your front yard. Keep it up. Even tho I have moved away from San Diego, and the climate is Bay Area, San Francisco, I appreciate all the gardening info I can get. Our local library is starting a garden group and, hopefully, we can take over a badly maintained garden , bring it up to snuff and encourage kids to garden there.
Just an fyi, several of the bushes with the flowers in Vancouver BC are called rhododendrons and they are very beautiful in so many colors and they can grow into trees
You guys are absolutely hilarious! I'm dying 🤣
love how wholesome and positive this video is! Such a nice corner of the internet where we can just all compliment eachothers' projects!!!! xoxo
You bloody legends!!
Thank you so much for pronouncing Melbourne correctly!
It's probably planned this way but I've noticed you guys wear more green in your vids these days which I love, it makes the green in your plants stand out and everything looks so vibrant.
When I first saw the headline of the first reaction video I wasn't sure how I'd feel about them but I really like them. So many ideas from around the world.
11:45 A garden with a view - how epic is that?!?!!
I have never seen garden sportscasting. This is the best
0:13 ❤ love these guys!!!
#19 is a rhododendron garden, and a spectacular one... I've only seen 2 other yellow Rhodies in real life, they're pretty rare from what I remember.
You should work with Wild Floridian. We are more unique thann any other state as far as what grows when and how.
A very nice video. Interesting seeing other gardener's ideas and what is working for them.
So many beautiful gardens and ideas! -solo cups on stakes supporting netting - trellis ideas - container use in small spaces with flowers and gardening on steep hillsides!!! 💚💚💚 Guys your so much fun to watch!😄 Where did you get your shirts? Mexico, Guam, Africa would love to see your gardens here!
I've never really cobsidered a vegetable graden a garden at all but im learning that vegetables can be interesting and even ornamental and the new thought allows me to slowly transition to a useful garden without feeling like im compromising
I’ve been working on my garden for almost a year, combining children’s place stuff with a functional food growing space and my kids really enjoy it. It’s nice to see other people do the same and their ideas.
Shout out here from Cape Town South Africa. Glad we can represent ❤.
love the video, seeing all these pretty gardens, you guys bring light upon all of us
I would love a DIY on a budget video! How to build a bountiful garden with DIY ideas on equipment either garden beds, drip irrigation, etc. I’m just getting started and super obsessed but on a budget.
I really enjoy seeing gardens from around the world.
Looking forward to sending through some pics / videos over our coming summer in Australia. I've been so busy with projects this year that this spring will be the first time in a long while that I can dive into my garden fully. We've also just moved into our house surrounded by a VERY overgrown yard - so I've been doing SO much pruning.
As someone that also is in Brisbane I could put money on that the Brisbane garden bed was covering up for possums
Such a positive video to watch and learn about different gardens of the world!
so many awesome set ups..very inspiring!
Sarah’s Brisbane planter bed is gorgeous
You guys are absolutely my favorite!!!
Glenn in Australia is my favorite.
Please keep posting these! So fascinating.
I LOVE seeing everyone's gardens!!!
Hey everyone! (And thanks for EG for all this beautiful content and lessons). Anyone gardening on a very sloped land? We bought some land in the mountains for our homestead to be, and we are having a lot of fun coming up with creative and eco friendly solutions on a budget as we move our garden from the piedmont of NC. Would love to connect if there are others doing something similar. We do not have one even spot on our land!
I have a small garden and this video gave me a lot of great ideas. 👍
Kevin, you have the most beautiful smile!
Thank you for sharing information about agriculture
The winner for me is Glenn in Brisbane garden. Put some money together, guys, and go visit Oz and do a garden tour.
Absolutely amazing👍👍👍👍👍
I love these videos , it's like main lining inspiration 😂
Some great gardens! Your transitions though made me chuckle...getting practice for the Dad jokes?? LOL.
Love to see all around the world!
Yoooooooo Diane S's garden was amazing! Would love to have a list of what is here!
Segues are next level. Bravo!
Would have sent mine from Texas. Unfortunately the heat index is killing us gardeners here right now.
lol over those transitions
Great seeing everyone's gardens, though. Gives me ideas
can't wait to see all my fellow pinoy gardeners out there. I wish i still lived in the philippines and have my old house back because ive always wanted to create a dream garden
Ahh I love these! Hoping to submit mine for a future video when you’re doing more US gardens. 😊
I wanted to show my weekend house garden! But it's a weekend house, so we do very little maintenance, and grow mostly flowers. But seeing all these beautiful gardens, I should've sent it
Love watching these 🫶🏼
You two are hilarious.
Canada is still part of the British commonwealth and therefore is under the crown
Bro why would you bring it ip
Britain is washed
Thank you!
I should send pics of mine...transitioning this fall from teepees for hills of climbers to a lodge type framework, all composed of locally cleared trees off my acreage. making changes to be more efficient in my water usage. I'm catching the runoff from my raised bed root crops to pump into the raised beds in the upper and lower 40's.
Fun to watch ❤
😁 love watching you guys.
Love you guys!
Enjoyed that trip around the world but wish I could have seen the gardeners in their gardens.
I actually didn’t think of that before but would indeed be interesting to see all the different people around the world, united by their passion
#18 Sarahs garden.I'm gonna bet that cover is for a kids sandbox. You dont want your kids playing in a litter box.
Ahoj Daniel D. z Bratislavy! Srdečne Ťa pozdravujem! Máš nádhernú záhradu. Tento rok nám moc počasie nepraje, v každom prípade Ti prajem veľa úrody, ale najmä radosti z rastliniek. Čaf, Daniela D. z Bratislavy
Amazing gardens❤
Rgb is raised garden beds lol. I'm surprised you didn't get that
Fun video guys 🎉
Awesome! Is there going to be another U.S. garden reaction video in the future? 🤔 I'd love to share mine! 😀
@2:15 Kevins 6ft long reach freaked me out for a second😅
Vancouver Island- those are rhododendron bushes. In Northern California, we call them “Rhodies”
I love it. It's my passion ,hobby😊
Question what type of vegetables can endure semi shade to full shade gardens I have raised garden the back yard My rain barrel didn't get full until late June 2023.
🤣 Y'all need to quit with those outlandish transitions. LOVE seeing all the possibilities, and you're obviously having too much fun with it too. These are inspiring!
I still have dinosaur kale going strong . Most are 4ft or over tall. I live in Florida and have many because my hens love it.
ROFL your comments about Canada...not overwintering this time of year. We get summers just as hot as yours. As for Norway they can grow almost all the same stuff as we can here in North America.
I was literally just looking to see if you'd posted this video this morning after watching the US one lol
1:51 Romain is actually pronounced like Roma. It’s the French version of Roman. The difference is the N is nasalized, but obviously that’s hard for us English speakers haha.
