- Sydney has become the first side to crack 200 points since 2011, handing a struggling West Coast its biggest loss in club history, thrashing the Eagles by 171 points.
It was a bloodbath from the Bloods, who piled on 31.19 (205) to the Eagles' 5.4 (34) at the SCG on Saturday evening, as nine Swans kicked multiple goals.

nice close game by the Swans & the Eagles
🤣😂
171 point win ain’t that close.
@@JTRAIN bro it could of been 172
It was a good thriller for Heeney vs the Eagles it started of well he kick 2 in the first half but being behind by west coast by 13 points but he made up for it second half to add to a total of 5.4.34 but eagles got the last laugh with a oscar allen goal to make it a draw
Full Time scores 5.4.34 Heeney to 5.4.34 WCE

This has absolutely been the best footy that we’ve played all year. There’s certainly been plenty of ups and downs all throughout (well, mostly downs), but regardless, it’s great seeing the Swans look like their 2021-22 selves again, especially with Mills and McDonald returning from injury.
I’m really hoping that this game can give the Swans the momentum to play some damn good footy in July and August, like they’ve been doing the past two seasons. Still a good chance at finals, but we absolutely need to stand tall and not let the pressure from our opponents to get to us. LFG Swannies!!
You do know it's only West coast 🤦
@@chriscoyne4827 I totally understand that it’s the Eagles. I’m not saying that the Swans are gonna win the flag this year because they beat the Eagles. Just the Swans have had a solid form since last round against the Lions. The Swans played with some good pressure last week despite Losing, and that pressure only seemed to get better with facing a bottom tier side like the Eagles. I’m just hoping that the Swans can finally build on that pressure and have a clean run in the coming weeks, something that they’ve had problems with all season.
@@Flamingbro69 you do know they only played that well cause of no buddy. You watch what happens when you Play the cats buddy will be in and they will get smashed

As an American who follows the AFL casually from New York. West Coast got absolutely NUKED. 31 goals for Sydney is absolutely INSANE. Has 200 points ever been scored by one team in a single game before this? Someone enlighten me please.
Yes, this was the first 200+ game since Geelong bombed Melbourne for 230+ in 2011
Cats, Tigers, Bulldogs, and Dockers ought to reduce the size of the smiles on the Swans faces in the next few weeks. But what an achievement nonetheless. Crazy.
😂 what ever watch and win 😅
What league are you watching 😂😂😂
🏈 Sydney are better without Lance Franklin.

preach it. they got tricked into giving him that extra one year deal. Ridiculous.
Second 100 point loss for the eagles. Sydney just kicking goals non stop.
Adelaide records the biggest score of the year. Sydney: "Hold my beer"
It was closer to 200 point win than a 100 point win :o
This is the funniest sh!t I've seen in a long time LMAO
YES THE SWANS. Thank you football gods. The *fourth biggest victory in AFL/VFL history* ...
Hey all ,well done to Sydney for the 200+ scire. I'm a swannies fan but I do feel for the Eagles fans and couple eagle players that were trying , I've always enjoyed watching the crows and Eagles as well,at this moment I really hope the eagles can work out what's really going on with them! for example if it's the management or couple players and have a clean up,then fingers crossed hopefully we can see the Eagles play 10 times better and give all teams a battle.I wish all clubs the best this year good luck all 💜
For everyone saying “calm down swans supporters it was only west coast” well how come no other team has won by 171 points and got over 200 🤨
Sydney are at risk of losing any chance of making finals and needed the massive percentage booster to keep their hopes alive. Pretty much every other team that has faced West Coast has just eased off early and taken the 4 points

Poor West Coast got well and truly boofed up the bum by the Swans
⬛ Great game by Sydney.
More proof they are better off without Lance Franklin.

Please have respect for the 4th player in AFL history to teach more than 1000 career goals. No need for your negative comment.. Can you kick 1000 plus goals. Seriously🙄
I don't think so

WOW!!
Havent seen this score line from the swans since I was in primary school 20 yrs ago.
I really hope Freo can do a number on west coast when the derby comes around. That's the wake up call the eagles need. To get obliterated in a derby.
It’s happened 😂
Then they beat bulldogs but now playing bad this year
how did gws lose to the eagles
That was before they had their mass amount of injuries while the orange team was adjusting to their new coach
As a person who absolutely hates the swans, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the game, well done swannies, you deserve it😊
Imagine the damage Geelong could do if they played at ghmba
Wow, the Swans won?
Massive score too
Disappointing that they chose to not show all 31 Swans goals. But fantastic win.

But one giant step for mankind.

Wow
Clarkes 329 is in danger if the swans keep playing like this😂

A brillant finish to the weekends round. West Coast and Hawthorne both eating sand!!
As a hawks fan, I can cheerfully say, it was post-bye
I looked 👀 I looked again 👀 And yep 171 points 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This game reminds me of the game where my beloved team USA set the olympic record for most points in a basketball game :D
🏈 HAWKS 88 vs st kilda 78.
Thanks for that.
When you forget to change the difficulty
As a person who hates both of these teams this was just a fantastic performance by the swans I thought they would easily crack the 250 at one stage of the match but they seemed to have taken there foot off the gas just a tad
Imagine if 13 goal Lance Franklin was there
As a Richmond supporter. this was unbelievably disappointing to watch. Kelly & Shuey were the only two putting in effort for the eagles, and everyone else was either completely out of it or simply way too young to be playing in the afl.
What about Oscar Allen and Jack Darling? They scored two goals each.
Kelly showed no effort, he didn’t play bad but the amount of missed tackles by him shows that he didn’t care that much
Why so many blowouts this year and it is not just West Coast. Very puzzling.
I've never agreed with the old footy rule that "it's always the coach's fault" because it's certainly not the case, especially here!
West Coast has a horrendous list, full of players that are injury-prone, players that are too old and need to retire and talentless young kids that shouldn't even be on an AFL list in the first place.
There's only a few decent young kids (like Reuben Ginbey) but the rest are just awful and aren't even reserve-standard.
If it wasn't for the older experienced players (Yeo, Sheed, etc.), they would be losing by a lot more points than they already are.
had this conversation tonite......you would think coming from reserves you would get out there and show a bit of heart...not even worthy of the colours...plain n simple.
I hope percentage doesn't come into play for teams vying to make it into the 8. Any team that get's to play the Eagles twice will get a massive advantage.
If Heney was the only one to score it would have been a draw 😮
U'd b amazed
This game was very very sad, west will have no chance of making it out of the bottom 4 now :(
Bro Sydney didnt even want to score😂
More shame than game. West Coast looked like they had less players on the field and those that were there were scared of a contest. Awful.
Eagles should get two wooden spoons for this putrid of an effort. 1-21 this year no doubt.
I haven't seen so many half hearted efforts in a AFL game ever. The Eagles aren't even trying. As a Richmond supporter I never dreamt the Eagles would be a percentage game. ( The biggest insult to be called) The coach has totally lost this group and needs to be moved out this week. Otherwise it's just pure tanking.
why did sydney get a bye this week?
I could score 200 points too if I played against a side of witches hats.
Let's take a look at when some of the other teams last won a flag:
Carlton - more than 20 years ago
St Kilda - more than 50 years ago
Essendon - more than 20 years ago
North Melbourne - more than 20 years ago
Fremantle - never
Brisbane - 20 years ago
Gold Coast - never
Port Adelaide - 19 years ago
Adelaide - more than 20 years ago
GWS - never
IMO that's far more depressing than conceding 200 points
@@soussy5297 the bulldogs won their 2nd flag more recently… 7 years ago
I had a bet with my mate that I would jump of the Harbour Bridge if the swans lost😂

Nobody expected this, nobody. Not even the most die-hard Swans and Dockers fans expected this. Here are some fun facts, or in this case, not-so fun facts for West Coast supporters:
The first time since 2011 where a team scored 200 points or more in a match and the second time since 2007. Those occasions, that team won the Premiership. Those games were also on Fox Sports too.
West Coast have fallen down heavily, and they are now in... what's worse than being at rock bottom? Oh, right, DOUBLE ROCK BOTTOM!
200 points scored by another team in this decade? I don't know if this will happen again.
Only a handful of West Coast players gave a s***, and I don't know how the Eagles fans put up with this effort. Even made worse is that they suffered an apocalyptic loss to a team that started the Round in 15th position. 15TH!! You thought losing to the then-18th-placed Hawthorn by 116 points was atrocious, that's nothing compared to the bloodbath caused by the Bloods.
Sydney on the other hand, they got a much-needed percentage boost and got A LOT more than they bargained for. Is this the Sydney resurrection?
[Here's my margin category:
30-39: Convincing.
40-69: Flogging.
70-99: Smashing.
100-124: Annihilation.
125-149: Obliteration.
150+: Apocalyptic.]
It will take some miracle, even a shred of it, and belief, for Adam Simpson to continue his tenure at the West Coast Eagles, who have already suffered THREE annihilations this year alone. Simmo has to go.
Now for the UrinatingTree reference: F*** you, Spanos. F*** yooooooouuuuuuuu!
P.S. I can't remember the name of the Fox Sports commentator that called the 2007 apocalyptic smashing from Geelong against Richmond.
2011: Dwayne Russell: GEE v MEL
2023: Mark Howard: SYD v WC
How will the Eagles respond next week? Surely not another hiding. Surely Simmo gets sacked. Surely there are some significant list changes by or even AT the end of the year. They're a long way away from another Finals berth unless something gets done. I had them finishing between 12-15 this year, but now, they night not do enough to avoid the bottom three.
Oh, and Sydney host Geelong next week on Frightday Night Football.
The commemtator you wanted was Clinton Grybas 👍👍

The coach must be sacked,
Apparently not. They’re either tanking or completely deluded
@@lukemckean6155Maybe they're tanking.
The eagles would lose to the bye not even kidding
Well in a way, it seems that most teams are losing to the bye. So far, every team has lost after coming from the bye....except some teams who played an opponent that also came from the bye.
West Coast Eagles might want to revise its new and pathetic club song. It's been downhill ever since they changed it. Did away with proud tradition and let "the boys" write a bunch of cacophony of stupidity. It's a war song, not an advert.
🤣😂
