The fact is that one should spread love and peace. Our world is a very small family and we need to be peaceful for attaining our desired goals. Speaking in this context, I would say it's totally fine if Koreans don't know about India. It's totally fine because personally speaking I am really satisfied by the mere fact that people of a different country knows that Indian exists. There are countries we aren't even aware of. So, they certainly knew a lot more than we as Indian would know about Korea. The sole reason why I said Peace and happiness, India loves you!!!
If you are an Indian who is watching this video, here is a question for you. Ask yourself how much do you know about KOREANS? I'm sure you won't be laughing now.

Hi im korean. I think the reason why most koreans think theres not much to see in india is because of our history of overseas travel. South koreans were able to travel overseas after like 1985 and from then, overseas travel seemed like a showcase of their wealth. So for a long time, traveling overseas meant traveling " developed countries" like europe(not a country but a continent but some people would think its a country) or japan and have fantasies trying to see how developed or how big their achievements are like the eiffel tower. And the second popular theme of travel was like goimg to places where they have great monuments in world history books like egypt or turkey and so forth. So a lot of sightseeing was done in these countries. But when india or africa are in documentaries they are often portrayed as unsafe, dirty, or "underdeveloped" slums(of course it can be argued its showcasing traditional cultures but these documentaries even though its educational made people think that even with modern technology that the countries are still like shitholes honestly). Even there was a time when going to south east asia were frowned upon cause people be like "why do you wanna go to such an underdeveloped poor country?". Also there were a lot of articles related with rape or scams in india so it makes people have bad prejudices of the country. So no wonder they didnt expect much. But as most people think europe or going to japan or china is becoming much more common there are a lot of people who are seeking to look for new destinations(myanmar or all the -stan countries) which means people are becoming to open to new cultures and realizing how important these values are. So i think these prejudices could be improved. But its still true that if you feel you guys are underappreciated by the world you got to focus more on showcasing the good side or wonderful things about your country. Honestly, lot of indian places tend to be rather unexplored thus make people not aware of wonderful places that you have. Also that most of the places are only described in detail in hindi or other major indian languages make it hard for people in korea to know you. So i think these efforts should be more needed. Talking of varinasi tho, i feel like it does have religious significance but its still pretty not appealing to some people besides "philosophy seekers"or the newage influenced "wanna find my real self" type of travelers as its no secret that any traveler can have problems with food and climate and the city happens to be like the epitome of what foreigners negatively think of india like dirty ganges rivers and so forth. So i think the positive side of pr should be i would say be done.
@@motro1301 Hmm yes I kinda agree with the stuff you mentioned. Personally since I live in South India, in a city called Bangalore. It's relatively cleaner and has facilities you'd expect from a metropolitan city. Good transport facilities - cabs, metro train. Amazing places to eat with good hygiene, supermarkets and a lot of malls, a range of 5 star hotels to stay and the place in general is definitely clean. So if they'd visit such a place, they'd definitely have a better opinion of the place. But as you mentioned, since the person in the video visited Varanasi, which is portrayed in the media as unclean, I know many Indians themselves who think that the place deserves better attention from the government given that so many tourists flock there and it should be advertised better for anyone to be interested in visiting. If we question Indians as well if they're interested to go to a different country, they wouldn't name a country with potential threat in terms of safety/health, they'd also prefer to visit a place that has something good to offer. It's just human tendency. India has a lot to offer. It's a rich experience. Just certain aspects such as the safety, media play and hygiene needs to be maintained to attract tourists and make sure they get a good impression.
@@begood7104 I love indian food and was fascinated with your history(bangalore is also pretty big city in south india so i dont know if it represents the whole of india). As i said i think you need a better pr team. Also i heard the problem of india is that the wealth is not distributed properly that rich people are like super rich and clean and poor people are noticeably poor, so i think societal problems are also a problem in my opinion. As you said lot of things are just being naturally discarded in the name of tradition and considered out of priority that needs pressing, but unfortunately these problems arent gonna be solved any time soon. I think whats best is that as a indian yourself you should try to give positive image of your country as much as possible. Koreans also had the days when they were literally one of the poorest countries in the world but thanks to the u.s and everything i think we tried hard and had great p.r and achieved the success that we have now. India has potential and you guys are the guys who has lot of tech firms and space missions. I just hope tho they actually care about the "people" instead of the expensive projects they are doing cause what this covid situation has revealed is that all that tech advances is nothing when you have lacking infrastructre. So respecting books is mythical. Really yes we treat studies like god and we worshiped Books because work is worship in India and for students nothing is more important than study
Indian philosophies attach knowledge/books, rivers, trees etc with "Sacredness", so that we are always respectful towards those.. Whoever told them about the fury of God of books might not be articulate enough to explain the true meaning behind it.

We have got millions of recipes in our cook books which can't be taught and popularised around the world. Spicy is preffered but not the only taste we know.

True but official languages which have written dialects I mean written scripts are counted and the ones with most common amongst each states. I myself speak a language where there is no written script for it.

4:13 huh!?! Which country did you visit bro? Cuz even for Indians it's hard to travel the whole country cuz there is SO much to see.... You are mistaken
But it's true kind of. Like I, still whenever touch books with my foot, automatically use my hand to touch it then touch my forehead so as to be sorry. It's kind of ingrained. Well I was born in 2001. Nit so sure about later people.
I'm an Indian-American so I like to think that I've been there enough to make my own opinions of it while also not being biased. To be honest, it is dangerous. As warm and kind as the citizens are, there's a lot that can go wrong. That doesn't mean it's not worth a visit. India is a hub of such beautiful culture and sites. I can't even start to list them all. Go listen to the classical music, or dance, or visit the sites of our kings and places of cultural significance. The true beauty of our country lies in our culture. There's a lot of stigma against India, saying that it's "undeveloped", but that's simply not true. While Indian society is a little questionable (judgemental and sort of patriarchal, except the younger generation is alright), the development of the country itself is going on just fine. They've modernized everything, it's definitely not like "old Korea" or whatever that girl said. They don't go to wells and scoop out water with buckets anymore. We have malls, and McDonald's, and delivery food, just like everyone else. And I've got to say, that's probably the worst thing you can say about India. It's really shows that you have no idea what you're talking about. On more surface level stereotypes, Indians don't eat curry everyday. Tbh, the food really depends on region and culture of an area. Same with languages. Hindi isn't the standard "Indian language" everywhere. Also with the philosophical ideologies, that confused me. Uh... why is it a problem that you can't throw books? Why are you throwing books in the first place? I don't understand why people even have a problem with that. Even if it wasn't a part of my culture, I wouldn't throw or step on books. Or food. That's just basic respect for the things I have. No one will get ANGRY at you for doing those things, but they certainly will think that you're just disrespectful in general. Plus, other countries have weird taboos too. Like in Japan, you're not supposed to talk on the subway. Just because Indian taboos have "mythical origins", doesn't make it worse than other taboos. Every country has those. (if any Indians are reading this, feel free to add on whatever I missed. Ofc, I didn't mean anything to be offensive, these are simply my observations after living there for 4 years in my childhood and visiting every 2 years.)
I agree and after the whole covid thing if not much then India became atleast a little advanced in terms of technology. Like how everything here is digital now. You do anything and you'll have it on your phone.

Ataraxia Well Indians are still interested in Korea and love it and most research about it also a lot of Korean people I’ve met actually wanna try visiting it just depends on the person. And this was about stereotyping.
We should be glad that they know so much about India. Try asking Indians about South Korea, most of the Indians don't know anything about them. If any Indian encounters a Korean they'll say that he is Chinese without thinking that there's a possibility that they are from other Asian countries. South Korea is so developed and still many Indians are unaware of that. If you don't believe me try watching exciting India, you'll get it.
MrParitoshJ This video was asking some random people what they knew about India! You can’t expect everyone to know everything about your country. I’m sure not everyone in India is educated on South Korea either.
I'm from South Korea and live in India. Been here Five times.18 months. And during that time, I've only met one person who knew extensively about Korea. Mainly because he was dealing with MNC's over there. Other than that, most of them think that I'm Chinese. Indians who haven't been exposed to outsiders think I'm from the NorthEast; either Manipur or Naga. Although I get a few Nepali. Also, the reason why these randoms say Curry, as the first thing so that Indians know what's up. Korea has adopted Curry from India. It's one of the staple household dishes lol It's not impossible for a Korean to eat Curry every single day. Koreans love Curry so much. They've literally incorporated to be Korean. Mainly because it's perceived to be healthy. And anything is always going to be as healthy as you mean it to be. Growing up eating Curry. Always assumed it was Korean until adulthood. Although the curry is different from Indian Curry. What's similar is that it's a gravy. Has vegetables. And it's poured over rice. The other point I want to make is that anyone who has traveled or studied abroad to multi cultural countries with a sizeable diaspora will of course be more aware of other ethnicities and their cultures. To conclude. There are many negative things about the socio political situation in India. You don't have to believe me. You Indians know this better than me. If I could scrape at least 10 problems. You'll lay out at 20 at the very least. Every nation as well as every person is not perfect. But as a human I choose to see the good rather than the bad in people or places. It's positivity or believing that's responsible for Creation. It's that creativity that you pull out from the ether. Now for the personals. India is one of the most interesting places in the world. Plain and simple. The people are lovely, respectful and hospitable for the most part. If you read until the end. I thank you for being patient. One love.

So the fact is that if you will ask Indian, about other countries you will get appropriate, honest and quite true answers, because I think Indian believe in gaining knowledge so they try to know about other countries and regions and they do study... But I feel like other countries people are not that aware of anything outside and may b they are not interested... Like India is not old Korea ,ohk... India is not underdeveloped... India is a developing country(are you aware of India's population!?) with a lot of beautiful and traditional places... There is so much to know about India... If you are talking about Indian villages that they are underdeveloped no they are enough capable the thing is that they don't wanna change their lifestyle and their tradition and culture... because they know the reality that normal life is a peaceful Life... My opinion,I repeat my opinion...... If I get a chance to leave India to go to So called developed countries,my answer will be a BIG NO... FACT :- INDIA Is the Best country...🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 China and India both are rich and Powerful countries, but still developing countries because of their high population...

There a thousands of different curries here, fish curry, egg curry, chicken curry, tomato curry, coconut curry, shrimp curry, lamb curry, mango curry, vegetable curry, peanut curry, bean curry, lentil soup curry, spicy curry, sour curry, sweet curry, green curry, red curry, yellow curry, white curry, orange curry, blah blah, and all of the States in India have different versions of the above mentioned ones.
I found the video fascinating, Yes we do have a lot of curry variety and each state has its own way in making it. Also, If ppl are planning to visit india, u can start of with the night life in mumbai and new delhi, some really romantic spots in udaipur, jaipur (Rajasthan), Shimla, Manali, jaisalmer, srinagar, shilong, u can travel to very tip to the south and see the scenic beauty of Kerala, Villages of TN and Party and IT hub Bangalore, Mysore (Mysore palace), some beautiful falls interior mysore, the vizag, Pondichery and many more. Each of these places have temples or it own and gods of its own. In india nature worship is more prominent, most temples will have a tree which is considered sacred, a well (water), place to light a lamp (fire) ,ofcourse soil (earth) and temples even in peak summers are cool without airconditioning (air). I love Korea and Korean culture !! 🤞🤞🤞 Do visit India !! 👍👍👍👍
Rashi Dhiman They actually did better than the Japanese in anither video. Also Bollywood is more or less followed there. 3 Idiots was quite a hit in Korea.
I'm from India, currently living in India. And even though i'm proud of my country i do agree with whats in the video. We do have street food that is unhygienic and we ourselves dont always eat food from the streets. We tend to know where you get good food so we go to those places. And as said in the video India has a massive population, with over 2500 languages, over 5 major and numerous minor religions, castes, etc. Living together harmoniously is a huuuge challenge which we have somewhat been taking up well. Our country has started significant development recently which means India is changing slowly but steadily. As Indians we definitely need to change our habits and be a little tolerant towards other cultures. India is definitely a massive tourist destination. It just needs to be developed well. I'm glad South Korea is getting to know India better. I like the mentality they have towards us. They're not biased or prejudiced as we would be. We are growing so one day we will make sure we have a country which is safe for residents and tourists alike. :) ♥
I think that when you mention India's street food, it's because a lot of Indians have stronger immune systems than the average person... If you know what I mean.
Mahima Karanth yeah i know... But people who are immune have been eating that food from a long time. When we indians travel to other cities or even our own city we tend to know generally where clean street food is served...

India just coming out of the closet it will take 7-8 years to get as popular as China. But anyway you can't really know a country without visiting it.. because reading books, articles, watching video or documentaries is just learning something through other's mind or eyes. *You're always very very welcome to visit us😇* Ya India isn't as easy as America or even China, because there cities are much developed and tourist friendly, while old Indian cities were made by British or later were influenced by British style city planning but they never evolved for modern society thats why new cities are being built around them with modern architecture and city planning. *Cities are not the heart of Indian society, Urban, sub-urbs and villages are. To really know India you shouldn't only visit the tourist spots and cities. Always try some countryside* you'll be surprised to see that they have most modern facilities but no to little Chaos. *India can offer you everything you want from high-tech cities to snow covered mountain, from scorching desert to blue sea, from green mountains to beautiful deep jungle, from clear beach to wonderful river belts.* All you need is to have enough holidays and will.😇
V D there many kinds of 'interior' bro it depends on the location. Some villages I've visited, have better facilities than my own urban town. I'm not taking about big malls, or big architectures I'm taking about basic facilities such as drinking water, healthy air, clean streets, well managed drainage system, 24hrs electricity etc. I live in a big town but have to use inverter as backup due to powerful, but my old home is in a village where I can use any electronic equipment even without power regulator. There are many problems to be solved but till today villages are in the heart of indian society, (not talking about overall economy).

i really liked the guy who has visited india. even though he suffered a bit (lol) he seems the most open minded and fun. to be honest, i used to find it a bit ??? that the only thing koreans know about us is our curry and tunak tunak because we have such a rich mixture of culture and philosophies and people just took those things from it. you can practically live a lifetime in india but wouldn't have explored or discovered all the wonders that lie within the country and that's the beauty of it. of course, they're not wrong about it not being safe in places. but i guarantee, if nothing else, if you truly come for the experience, people always gain something when they travel india. and if you can, come during our major festivals! edit: danny and david, all the thanks for taking the time to do this!

"there's not much to see in India" lol did he spent all of his time in Varanasi alone or what.
Need to correct some information... India is having more than 3000 languages even in Assam more than 200 languages were spoken. And almost every Indian in India can speak atlest 4 language.
Rajkumar Ramdas no they asked how many official languages? Its 22. There are about 3000 languages in India but official is 22
Still a divided nation. LOL!
well i can speak only 2 languages fluently
OFFICIAL LANGUAGES ARE ONLY 22 M8
True but official languages which have written dialects I mean written scripts are counted and the ones with most common amongst each states. I myself speak a language where there is no written script for it.
I am sooo surprised that Koreans don't know much about India despite being in the same continent....
I guess we Africans just watch a lot of Bollywood😑
Just cause they’re on the same continent doesn’t mean they’re close in relation
Yeah but it’s all about being open minded sometimes/or willing to be open minded I guess.
“Isn’t asia a continent ?? Lol”
Sometimes in India itself Hollywood is more popular, but Bollywood is still like home for some reason. Something we make fun off, but still end up watching secretly, Lol.

Been to Korea just once and been to India 7 times for work and the diversity of the culture is amazing there, I made sure that I have visited the temples in New Delhi and the Mumbai seafront, I've enjoyed my trip to Suraj and Gujarat... I have stayed in Rajcot and Gujarat a week on each trip and Ahmedabad for a month once... All I can say is I loved every minute of it... I really want to go visit Amritsar because of a movie... People were so humble but yet so clever that we had our programming done in India and they found such solutions that our Turkish team was unable to...

There's not much to see in india??? Are you sure?.. on an average it has 29 states and more than 2000 languages (including villages n substates) and have more than 30 siteseeing destinations in it.. it would cost your life time to see it..
And it's not like we have only man made or only natural things.. there's a wide variety of natural things and man made things and things even scientists couldn't give an answer to cause there are many places which have magical stuffs (I say magical cause scientists haven't been able to find why it is that way). Next time. Do make sure to try to plan your trip well. You don't wanna just go to sleep n then say there was nothing much. Love from my india

MrParitoshJ how much do YOU know about Korea??
MrParitoshJ This video was asking some random people what they knew about India! You can’t expect everyone to know everything about your country. I’m sure not everyone in India is educated on South Korea either.
varsha kuril I know
Catostrophic Angel well, so much 😂
I'm from South Korea and live in India. One love.
The woman answered Indonesia. Lol. Then i live in the capital city of India! 😂But it's ok because both countries have similar names.

22.million people's per year
India just coming out of the closet it will take 7-8 years to get as popular as China. But anyway you can't really know a country without visiting it.. because reading books, articles, watching video or documentaries is just learning something through other's mind or eyes.
*You're always very very welcome to visit us😇*
Ya India isn't as easy as America or even China, because there cities are much developed and tourist friendly, while old Indian cities were made by British or later were influenced by British style city planning but they never evolved for modern society thats why new cities are being built around them with modern architecture and city planning.
*Cities are not the heart of Indian society, Urban, sub-urbs and villages are. To really know India you shouldn't only visit the tourist spots and cities. Always try some countryside* you'll be surprised to see that they have most modern facilities but no to little Chaos.
*India can offer you everything you want from high-tech cities to snow covered mountain, from scorching desert to blue sea, from green mountains to beautiful deep jungle, from clear beach to wonderful river belts.* All you need is to have enough holidays and will.😇
ya I agree with you...
Cpt. Haddock So true.
As an Indian, that was absolutely beautiful to read ❤
V D there many kinds of 'interior' bro it depends on the location. Some villages I've visited, have better facilities than my own urban town. I'm not taking about big malls, or big architectures I'm taking about basic facilities such as drinking water, healthy air, clean streets, well managed drainage system, 24hrs electricity etc. I live in a big town but have to use inverter as backup due to powerful, but my old home is in a village where I can use any electronic equipment even without power regulator. There are many problems to be solved but till today villages are in the heart of indian society, (not talking about overall economy).

"there's really not much to see in India" Indians be like: bro are u even okay? loll
i really liked the guy who has visited india. even though he suffered a bit (lol) he seems the most open minded and fun. to be honest, i used to find it a bit ??? that the only thing koreans know about us is our curry and tunak tunak because we have such a rich mixture of culture and philosophies and people just took those things from it. you can practically live a lifetime in india but wouldn't have explored or discovered all the wonders that lie within the country and that's the beauty of it.
of course, they're not wrong about it not being safe in places. but i guarantee, if nothing else, if you truly come for the experience, people always gain something when they travel india. and if you can, come during our major festivals!
edit: danny and david, all the thanks for taking the time to do this!

India amazes others by its diversity ,culture , vibrant nd incredibility .....😊😊Proud INDIAN😄😄
Richu Ashokan This is how indians show their confidence to foreigners.😓
Now the truth: India also amazes the world by its povert, filthy people, pocketmaars, schainsnatchers, corruptd police, racism, holycowissue.
Angry Pepe I will admit that we are not developed like US or europe,jpan,etc..but at least we are far better than these shit countries like pakistan from which EX PAT belongs and other islamic nations who produce terrorists to kill all so called ""non believers"
