Just to clarify some things from the video.
For the polygamy, in religion it is stated in Quran that marrying up to 4 women is allowed only if they can be completely fair and give them equal rights. However exactly in the verse right after, it says "you won't be able to do that anyways". So many scholars say that it's a way to say that you actually shouldn't marry a second wife. And that it will only be making you a not fair person to your wives which is bad. But the religion still gives them the chance to try. This chance is what many men use in their favour to justify their unreasonable and uncontrollable thirst, by actually gaslighting women and those who defend them and say "are you going to defy God's words? He gave me permission " but he forgets that god told him that he will not be successful in being fair.
It's a patriotic way of thinking and taking advantage of the religion that is bad. The woman ofc has the right to ask for divorce if she doesn't want him to have polygamy. She can simply leave. But it's still sad.
About smoking, in religion IT IS forbidden like she said because it harms the body. But many people do smoke different things and it's not illegal in many muslim countries but that doesn't mean it's permitted in the religion itself as the religion is independent from whatever policies the county takes on.

    • @Ruwen.S

Also, In the case of polygamy - in Islam if you have the finances and time to support more than one woman, the 2nd/3rd or 4th wife should all be women who would usually find it difficult to get married due to societies bias.
For example: Widow, infertile, elderly, disabled. It is a way to take them in and protect them from loneliness and lack of income if their disability affects their ability to work etc and they can't rely on their parents forever.

Nah bro anything that harms the body is haram, therefore cigarettes are.
Allah says in the quran (And spend in the way of Allah and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction [by refraining]. And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good.) 2:195
So we should not destruct/harm ourselves. Also spending money on cigarettes/vape/… is spending money on harmful things so… ifykyk
Just bc a sin is so normalised in today’s society doesn’t mean it’s okay. (I thought dating wasn’t haram bc of how many muslims do it but turns out it is haram despite muslims who date🤷🏻‍♀️)

@@istankaithedog7889stop fabricating explanations. It is allowed and a Sunnah for men to marry up to four wives, because Allah and His messenger (peace be upon him) permitted it. You dont even need to ask permission of your first wife, actually. I want to clarify some things not about Islam but about few minor things mentioned. First, she mentioned that beef is sacred for Indians but I want to correct this saying that rather for Indians it is specifically for and only sacred for Hindus of the Hindu religion and not all Indians. Because as an Indian Christian myself my state (Kerala) has a lot of beef dishes/foods and we eat beef a lot here as there’s a lot of Muslims and Christians in Kerala, India. And ofc you won’t go to jail for that. Just that it’s only for the Hindu religion only.
Another thing is that, just like Islam, in Christianity we are NOT allowed to eat pork. It’s even written in the Bible that it’s unclean and not supposed to be eaten. I have even been forbidden from eating it by my parents and grandparents too. But it’s just taken lightly by Christians.

    • @borntobereal2004

Wow! I seriously didn't know that in Christianity there is any forbiddance related to pork! I have always seen porks being glorified by christians. Most of the christians eat pork and even in movies and stuff, I always saw them eating it. It was really hard for me at abroad since most non-veg dishes were made of pork. But it's really insightful to know that it's not the case for christians either! We are similar in this case then, haha.

I’d like to add sth also to the answer of question two (for people who’re interested) since you have to be fair to all your women like deena said, nowadays it’s unlikely for men to get married to more than one woman because (there’s no wars like before so) you also have to be fair emotionally, if you love one more than the other it’s considered a sin and according to all studies you can’t love two equally, that’s how human work, it’s impossible you’ll always have a favorite even if it’s just a little bit more…so islam allowed polygamy for a reason (in the past and even now sometimes you can marry more than one for certain circumstances ) but also prohibits it at the same time (for peace time like now) so that men could not act as they wish and be unfair to their women…. That’s why islam is called the religion of all time ❤

I don't know if it's the translation problem or what.. It's about the part with smoking. I don't know if it's Haram or Makhruh for cigarette or cigars, but DRUGS is definitely Haram. Drugs a.k.a narcotics or psychotropics or even weeds/ganja/Marijuana are intoxicant because they mess with your mind/thinking, just like what alcohols did (being drunk).

    • @AmyK27
      @AmyK27 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

Drugs and alcohol are haram because they are intoxicants (alcohol also causes harm to the body in the long run).
Cigarettes are haram because they solely cause harm to the body. Cigarettes did not exist in the time of the Qur'an and the hadiths hence no direct mention of them and why so many people nowadays don't consider them haram.
But the Qur'an says that we are not supposed to harm our body in any way and anything that causes harm to the body becomes haram for us. Nowadays with the advancement of medical science, it is proven and well known how toxic and harmful smoking is for the body. It causes countless types of cancers and diseases of the throat, lungs and heart. It is a slow poison that shortens your life span with every cigarette you smoke. So all the good scholars of today's generation have concluded that cigarettes are in fact haram and the one smoking them is sinning.

For people wondering why polygamy isn't allowed for women,I'm not a scholar in this discussion, but I can state one reason-
When a woman with multiple husbands has a baby, there is confusion about who the baby's father is and it can lead to various disputes within the family later on(now we have dna techniques and all, but it wasn't the case a thousand years ago)

There is a comment thread here which goes long on the matter of polygamy so for everyone in that thread I will say that the girl in the video said the most accurate thing. Polygamy is not an easy thing to do but doing it is not forbidden as well, so we shouldn’t go to the extreme of vilifying it as patriotic tyranny and we also shouldn’t be too lenient saying a man can do whatever he wants with these women, it’s marriage not dating, there are responsibilities and financial justice must be uphold. So the actual consensus stance IS the middle ground the girl mentions in the video.

Please invite some actual scholar that knows Islam. The sister explained things from what she perceives things as, not what Islam actually says. Not saying she was completely wrong though. But, there are a lot of misconceptions among the Muslims of today because many do not read and study the Quran but just indulge in blind faith, when in fact Islam is not a religion of blind faith; it is a religion of reasoning. Also, Islam is not just a religion, it is the way of life. This is obvious from the meaning of the word ISLAM; Submission to God. The submission here refers to doings things the way God wants us to do, not our own opinions because we follow Islam, not someone's opinion.
