Aerofloral waybill from MIA in 10-91 means it went there by cargo airplane. I might have flown it there back then. We flew a lot of expensive/exotic cars down to there back in those days on 707 and DC-8 freighters.

Huh! Curious thing. Back in 2020 I got the chance to sit inside of this exact LM002. The scent of gasoline is strong, and I remember having the feeling of looking far away to see the passenger side mirror. Even if I had no chance to drive it, that machine was magnificent. I got the chance to take some pictures those days... If you need them for documentation, I can share them with you.
I worked in Newport Beach Ca back in the 80’s/90’s and there was a beautiful Blond that used to run around town in a black LM002 at that time. Beautiful car and woman.

As a Colombian who lives in Bogota and owns a couple of important cars from the 50s and 60s in perfect original unrestored condition, I can confirm that this is the perfect place to preserve things. We are 8500 feet above sea level and have a constant humidity and temperature range throughout the year of 68% and 68 degrees respectively, that prevents major rot and decay while rust really isn't an issue in dry storage. I even have messages sent by homing pigeons (19th century SMS's) that are over a century old and haven't even yellowed.
@ one message is about my grandfather causing a major accident (roaring around like a hoodlum according to my great grandmother) in a brand new 1909 Cadillac Touring model 30 that had arrived by river and dragged up the mountains by mules where a Cadillac engineer had to reassemble it before delivery.
Colombia is an incredible place. I've been twice. One thing I noticed about cars is that because of the stable weather, they never go through the intense heat cycles that wreak havoc on cars here in the states. I mean, yeah maybe a bit of sun fading, but everything lasts a lot longer. Pablo is still a legend. He's a cult hero among the Colombian people. You can't take a tour without hearing his name. I stayed at a ranch way up in the mountains and allegedly Pablo had "modified" the river for "agriculture" purposes, making a hydroelectric facility to power a "processing plant" just down the hill from where I was.

When I was 12 or 13 I was riding with my mom through red oaks mill Poughkeepsie New York after watching one of her soccer games when out of the corner of my eye illuminated by a street lamp sitting near it I saw an LM002, it was sitting in the corner of a small gas station/ service center and had a branch laying over the hood with dust and grime from sitting for a while. I quickly snapped a few photos then went on my way before posting some photos on the internet months later which caused the shop to remove it and place it elsewhere but in the back of my mind i know there’s a dilapidated black LM002 somewhere in upstate NY hidden or maybe in plain sight again. Still had the original Perelli sand lip tires on it
Siegfried and Roy had one of these in las Vegas .In the mid 90’s I was a mechanic at Tobin infinity and use to work on it. It was alway FULL of white tiger hair ….😁
I remember seeing this car a couple of times in some of the workshops for old BMW and Mercedes. It had a generic (made in Colombia) radiator cap, so probably at some point it lost coolant. It wasn’t lost, BTW, every petrol head in the country knew about it.
Pretty sure Mike Tyson and Bobby Brown got stuck in the snow in one of these back in the day while partying!! They partied so hard Mike lost his fight the next night if I remember correctly. Bobby Brown tells this story
