It still amazes me that people don’t realize SEMA is NOT a car show. It’s a showcase for products. The vehicles aren’t required to be complete or safe or even pretty.
This is true for the indoors. For the most part the outdoor section is a car show, but I do not believe they call it one so overall you may also be technically correct

Keep doing this! It's such a motivator for shops and owners to actually bring solid builds to SEMA because of this kind of content. I wish there was a way to 'soft shame' the shops, so people that bring shit builds think twice. And the comedic timing at 16:33 was perfect..

37:05 Volkswagen Golf 2 #ThunderBunny by JP Performance from Germany. Twin Turbo Mid Engine VR6 🤯, he said "about 1000 hp" in a short Interview with Shmee. Probably true, the car was on the dyno 24 hours before being shipped to the US when the engine broke and got a new engine block with similar hardware just in time. The first steps of the build were 4 years ago, this year he modified it insanely. Most of the gold parts are electroplated with real gold. He has tons of videos on his channel (German, though).
I tried the VR painting since that's what I do. It's interesting in theory but I think it still lacks a lot that can be learned much must faster in real world work.

I'm a car guy through and through and have not been to a SEMA show for years but I gotta say these cars and trucks look like a freak show. I went to see the newest auto tech and new products as well as factory proto stuff, but if this is what it has turned into I think I'll pass..

The wrap on the Charger at 42:38 was actually a 3D print. They had glasses you could look through to see it. Not my style but it was definitely impressive to see.

That Diamond T truck with the turbo headlights did either Hot Rod drag week or rocky mountain race week this year I can’t member which, made it through the whole competition. Thousand miles of driving and five drag racing days ridiculous
Since when did SEMA become a car show? If I recall, it was just a new product/service showcase. No trophies etc. I don’t know, I’m surprised how many people actually care and put so much time/effort into showcasing the flaws.

We went to SEMA every year from 2000 till 2018. The builds suck ( not all of them ) and the people are incredibly rude and most shouldn't even be there. The last time we went we spent more time outside watching the drifting and if we went in it was to hotrod ally and the tool section. I ordered about 10K in tools for the shop, but you have to know your prices, sometimes there higher at the show than during the year. It has turned into a circus and on Friday of the show they let the general public in, which is good, but it is mainly bad. Thanks for your video, shows me what I'm not missing.

Went to SEMA with a couple of my mechanics, the worst vehicles are the half built lifted trucks that cant even drive on the roadway, cant stand those.
Majority of them don’t even have the drive shafts connected which is the funniest part to me😂

Yes, my tractor from the 80s has double ujoints for the front wheel drive steering. However, those aren't bouncing up and down.
