Agreed! Cool to see the toymakers' favorite tertiary character getting such a good MOC in that tradition - my first intro to Neville was his Wooden Railway model, just wish him & the other HiT-era characters got better screen time (Neville should've been so much more given the Q1s helped win WWII)

Oh yes! Your first lego train! I've built lego railway models for many years, and it's always exciting to see someone new to the lego railways space
To attach the break rigging properly you could use 2 1x1 headlight bricks facing inward with a 1x2 plate (suggestion)
This LEGO Neville looks amazing, to complete the LEGO Neville, all you need is the face and the numbers and I noticed that you also made a LEGO James, I can tell because of the red tender engine with the gold Dome and the face
I'm so happy Neville is getting more attention/love.

the Lego Q1 (or Neville) you got from Kcirbmoment looks decent since it does have a few issues that can be fix once in a while, but at least your lego custom model of a few rolling stock and brakevan were pretty neat. 👍

Neville is the last character I expected to be the first custom LEGO model but this certainly looks absolutely anazing!

Neville is one of the most under appreciated Thomas and friends characters.

A recommendation for fixing the brake rigging on the brake van.
1. Replace that black technic brick with two of those pieces you used as the white lanterns on the sides of the brake van (in black of course).
2. Replace that jumper plate you have on the 1x12 with a standard 1x2 piece.
3. Orient those lantern pieces so the stud hole on the back faces outwards, and plug the 1x2 into it.
Overall a much sturdier connection method (In my experience). Give a reply when you try it out and tell me if it worked for you or not.
Neville is a good model. One of the best SR QR1 LEGO engines I’ve ever seen! I have definitely seen worse builds…
This is why I read and edit the instructions I make in Studio for readability, add text, etc.

Tip to fix the middle wheel: Connect it to the side-rods. I assure you, this won't cause any problems. (Tried and true with other Lego models)
My advice would be to build a an extra boxcar to hide the battery box for the powered flatcar . I just can’t see the brakevan missing an interior.
4:18 Try replacing the 1x2 brick with hole with a 1x2 brick with two holes, then replace the 1x2 jumper plate with two 1x1 round plates.

The Q1 is a favorite of mine. I myself have also built a Lego Q1 as well, though it's currently undergoing a redesign.

I don’t know if you’re reading this or not but I would highly recommend a Lego third-party element called circuit cubes. I have two motors and two battery boxes and I can say they work really well and they’re also Bluetooth so you can use them in the circuit cubes app

@@Rileythepigeon i’m sure it would be difficult to squeeze all of that into an engine. This size Circuit Cubes is a lot smaller.

Try using the instructions from brick junction. The only problem though is that you need more pieces and custom pieces to build it
