the tiniest detail i've loved throughout this movie was owen and claire calling maisie their daughter, and then maisie finally saying they're her parents. like she never had parents. the closest she got was her grandpa and iris. but now she has actual parents
Also btw, Lewis Dodgeson was in the first movie, meeting with Nedry, fat guy, to get the Dino embryos because biosyn has always been in competition with Ingen, Hammond company
Which is why it's all the more fitting that he died to the same dino that Ned did.

Personally, I really enjoyed this movie. I think it’s just the fact that it gave some old nostalgia seeing the old characters again from the Jurassic Park Movies and being together with the Jurassic World Characters. Otherwise I had some questions on how they’re gonna solve the dinosaur situations still roaming around the globe. I’m glad to they are making a new one
Too bad they didn’t explore the whole idea of dinosaurs and man co existing which they promised for so long since the first JW.
In regards to the upcoming movie, it sounds like they saw the problems with the last two films and are trying to make something genuinely good

We saw a bunch of scenes with dinosaurs in the wild like the Parasaurs and Apatosaurus just living their lives, but then we also get to see the dinosaurs that were sold and trafficked
I’m not saying that I’m not glad they may be going more in that direction but to say we didn’t get it at all is silly and it follows up from the last movie from the dinosaurs being sold

If the movie actually lived up to the promise in giving us a story about dinosaurs and man co-existing and the consequences of that, then that would’ve actually made it feel like the conclusion it promised to be.
Then again, if they did that, they probably would’ve seen that as the end of their money making franchise so they basically had to lie by calling it a “conclusion”

I don't know if you noticed but the bad guy in this was the guy in the 1st movie that Dennis Nedry was trying to get the embryos off the island for.
Fun fact, the actress who plays Santos has had run-ins with dinosaurs before. She was one of the leads in a SyFy Channel original called “Aztec Rex”, which featured Spanish Conquistadors fighting for their lives against a T-Rex that the local Aztec tribes worshipped as a god.
27:49 I actually like the frame that rexy was in shocking and flashback to the status of her ancestors. Like maybe she thought something was telling her that she must not lose this time.
It’s so funny cuz they probably planned on adding the original dominion “flashback prologue” in that exact scene. It would’ve been a bit too dramatic but it would’ve added some sort of depth if we were going in that action route. The way that split second of the trees and the fur on the rex being kept in is funny for me idk why 😭
@disgustedrn4215 I know why they cut it out. Because it looks too fantasy. Because the movie is science fiction. and remembering past lives(flashback) in extended cut is a supernatural matter that science cannot prove.

It's better than the original cut of the movie.
It has an opening scene where we travel back to the age of the dinosaurs, as we see Brachiosaurus, Nasutoceratops, Ankylosaurus, Oviraptor, Pteranodon, Quetzalcoatlus, Iguanodon, Tyrannosaurus and Giganotosaurus. Rexy's ancestor fights the Giga, but loses. We then cut to the present day, as Rexy is being chased by a helicopter of the California Wildlife Reserve, to a drive in movie, scaring away the patrons. A park ranger tries to tranquilize Rexy, but misses.
He panics when he doesn't see her. He says, 'I don't see her! Do you see her!? Where did she go!?"
The helicopter pilot says, "Relax, kid. She's not going to run forever."
This sets up the events of DOMINION.
Technically, it’s not Rexys ancestor but it’s actually Rexy herself because at the end of the fight we see a mosquito land in the corpse and take the blood and dna for it, so it’s technically the same dino

It’s crazy how much better the extended version is. God knows why the butchered the theatrical release so badly.
@@FlettwinWell it was basically for length and also because this was released when the world was still recovering from the pandemic and there were concerns that people wouldn't want to turn up for a 2.4 hour movie after all that had gone on. So that's mainly why.
If you notice carefully. Giga, the villain dino of Dominion, has a similar appearance to Indominus Rex (the villain of the first Jurassic World). Giga has a design that is exaggerated from real life. Because they intentionally made Giga and Indominus similar. Because Giga is one of the ingredients of Indominus Rex. Including Therizinosaurus (Long Claw) is also one of the ingredients of Indominus.
Another reason why the movie designed the Giga too exaggeratedly. Because they wanted to be able to distinguish between Giga and T.rex during nighttime battles. Because in real life the two had many similarities (except for the arms and head), and ordinary people would refer to the larger Theropod as a T. rex. So they designed the Giga to have exaggerated spines to make it noticeable.
The villain of Dominion is Dodgson. The Giga is just an animal. One could argue Indo was an actual monster without a purpose and needed to be put down, but Giga is just like a random Tiger.
@@Akatsukileader9 You seem to be focusing on the wrong topic. I mean the villain that is a dinosaur. Not a human character villian. Colin, the movie's director said in an interview that Giga is the villain dino of this movie.

It is true that it behaves like a wild animal by instinct. But the role it received was as a villain. which is its behavior is not suitable for it's role. Indominus has better villian role than Giga. Because Giga's behavior doesn't suit the villain role that was set for it.

After the release of Fallen Kingdom but before Dominion came out, Universal released a short on TH-cam called Battle at Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock. Really just a promotion to keep Jurassic World in the public's mind, but it's worth a few minutes to watch this!

Something I thought of while watching your reaction, Dr. Wu's redemption was somewhat foretold in the first movie. When they're having dinner, Ian's criticism this:
"I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here, it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could... but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should."
Dr. Wu finally understands the discipline because he did the work and earned the knowledge for himself, and he works to undo what he could; the truly evil part.
When I saw the Dilophosaurus I was thrilled! Man I love those mutant dinosaurs. Also how they took out Dodgson was amazing. The same fate as Dennis Nerdy.
The venom in their saliva is a neurotoxin that paralyzes the nerves via the eyes but Dodgson got it in his mouth so it worked all the same.
Their barking is so cute!

With all the main characters coming together in this movie, it feels like the Infinity War/EndGame of the Jurassic Series.

Not the best movie out of the franchise but also not the worst people make this movie sound like it’s terrible and has nothing good about it but that’s simply not true this movie is the most unique movie out of the franchise and that’s a good thing you can’t keep making movies with the same plot and story and feeling, that’s how you keep a franchise alive.
The main reason that most people give this as a terrible or worst. It's because of movie focusing on locusts problem mainly. Even more than dinosaurs. It's like they're trying to tell that there's no need to worry about dinosaurs spreading around the world. Let them be like that. The real bad problem is the locusts. Lmao
But honestly. I actually like this movie in some parts. Although most of them are terrible.

I actually like this movie. Dodgson was a bit underwhelming but the main crew to me held it up. Was it nostalgia bait, yeah sure but it’s also Jurassic park and it’s not the big a deal to me. Had a lot of cool moments amongst the theater crowd when I went to see it.
IMO this movie is (apart from the og JP movie) the best thing to ever exist. I love everything about it

Colin intended for made Zeb die to revenge for Giga killing Rex in the prologue, but it was true, Zeb the Giga is just a wild animal acting on instinct.

The only thing i didnt like about this movie was they didnt leave the best line of the trailer in the movie. It was Jeffs line saying "bigger. Why do they always have to go bigger?" Goes in around 22:12

People really seem to hate this movie but I enjoyed watching it. It was fun
I have mixed feelings about the ending, it makes no sense that modern animals, specifically humans, can coexist with dinosaurs, but I also don't want the dinosaurs to go extinct again, so even though I liked Jurassic World Dominion, I don't think it's a great finally for the franchise, so in the end, I think the ending with the dinosaurs and modern animals coexisting is the best one. However if the movie were about the dinosaurs and modern animals, specifically humans, not beeing able to coexist, I think the best ending would be the dinosaurs getting extinct again, and I think that would be a great finally for the franchise.
I'm glad you liked this. Too many movies get piles of hate these days. This was far from the best Jurassic movie, but they're ALL just really good, fun, action movies.
In the 2nd movie the girl had alot of american influence in her speech with the one lady trying to maintain her british accent, in this she's apparently completely british despite not having any brits in her life.
EDIT: Then again, this movie is more a fantasy adventure with funny characters.

Also, I enjoyed this movie -- plus it was the only movie in this series mum watched with my brother and I in the cinema and said it was pretty good. I wasn't expecting that from her, but...
Oh, also, Blue reminds me of a cat when she looks at Owen, watches him blink and then goes - cause slow blinking is a sign of trust/love from a cat or a cat person. Slow blink at a cat, and it might just feel less threatened by you than if you just stare at it.

I was already satisfied with the theatrical version of JW: Dominion when I saw it in theaters. Then when the extended version was released and I saw how much better it made the film look, simply incredible. This movie crafted two parallel plots to introduce two different generations of characters, from over 30 years of a series. They expertly wrote these characters to synergize with each other, and they fixed major flaws with multiple characters. As a fan of the novel too, I never liked the attempt of romance between Grant, Sattler and Malcolm since the original Jurassic Park. In the novel, Grant and Sattler are platonic friends and colleagues. They have more of a student/teacher relationship built upon respect. Malcolm was too obsessed with himself being right. However, JW: Dominion even managed to work in a believable romantic bond between Grant and Sattler that I genuinely enjoyed. This is by far the greatest Jurassic film in the series and I feel sorry for those who can't see how this addition has improved the overall story of the film series.

Ellie Sattler has always been my favorite ❤️ I love that they brought her back.
By the way, you should know that her and Grant were an actual couple in Jurassic Park and there are many hints of that, but then... we have to assume that they broke up since he was having his doubts about whether or not to have children and everything so apparently he had to let her go so she could have a family with someone else... That's why Ellie ended up with that Mark guy in jurassic park 3 (but here she says it's over when Alan asks her about him). Anyway, the thing is, as you can see, Grant and Sattler never stopped loving and trusting each other and I'm glad they got back together so they could finally have a happy ending.
Sam Neill said in an interview that Alan obviously led an isolated life cause since the traumatic events he had in the past, he no longer wanted to have anything to do with living dinosaurs... (and I quote) "And then one day, over the horizon, returns the love of his life, Ellie Sattler...
She has her family. She’s brought up the kids. They’ve grown up. She’s now divorced. She’s a single woman, but she has no interest, I think it’s fair to say, in anything romantic with this old codger because she’s been here before. Alan, however, the flame is still burning for the love of his life. She’s the great regret of his life, and should this develop into anything romantic, he could not be a happier man."

I can't believe the writers of this movie thought we would want them to focus on bugs instead of dinosaurs. At least they added scenes with the dinos back into this cut. Ya know, the reason we fell in love with this franchise in the first place.
This cut is what the movie was always meant to be, it’s the version the director wanted, the studio got scared about the run-time and made dumb editing choices.
I don’t really mind the bugs tho because it brings everything back to the original book which was about genetic tech being abused and the danger to the planet.
@@Flettwin well said, that is 1 of the reasons I also like the hybrid Dinosaurs (albeit posing a different kind of danger than the locusts), they feel like a natural (pun unintended) progression for genetic tech, after all, if it can (with a bit of DNA tweaking) bring back prehistoric species of Dinosaurs, making entirely new species from scratch would be a plausible next step, I seem them as the Dinosaur equivalent of Frankenstein's Monster(s)
Well if you're a book fan the Locust make a lot of sense because the books are more about the dangers of messing with genetics and the dinosaurs are more like obstacles to a much more nefarious evil ambitions

The Star Wars references that I clocked were the cantina scene, milineum falcon cockpit, the hoth speeder crash, the lab escape was straight off the death star, and I'm sure there were more but I didn't want to rewatch the whole thing.

I don't think it is what we wanted or expected. The main bad guy is a character from the first Jurassic Park film. Remember the character that gives Nedry the shaving cream can to steal the embryos.
