Teddy told some awesome stories here. The story about his father saying loneliness is an illness, Tyson not letting the punch go and clinching in that sparring session so he screamed at him, Cus saying Tyson must get out of the habit of relying on intimidation (so prophetic). Great podcast all round

It’s amazing that teddy did all that work for free and took away from it a skill that made him millions. The days of unpaid apprenticeships are long past but it’s a very fair exchange. You walk into it with no skill of value and exchange the only thing you have of value, your time. And after enough time you have the skills that will never leave and an income for the rest of your life

Teddy a living legend, he breathed & lived boxing that's why he is so credible.
When he was mentioning about that boxing is 75% mind, we have proven that so many times we lost count already.
Another classic example here is the Thrilla in Manila.
I mean, Ali was so gassed out in between rounds in the latter ones that at one point, he was actually asking his corner to "cut the tape" or free him from those gloves already! His immense fatigue he said was the "closest feeling to dying". AND YET, when the bell sounds for the next round, all of a sudden, he not only could suddenly lift his hands again, but throw stinging & accurate combinations to Smokin' Joes head & face, enough to gather much needed points and close the latter's eyes to the point of being practically blind and couldn't see anything anymore.
That's why Joe's corner threw the towel since he could not effectively fight anymore and Ali could well damage him real bad.
However, Frazier's coach gave a firm & assuring words.
"Joe, the world saw how you gave all you've got. The world will never ever forget what you have shown them today!"
