To be fair to Geordie this was a class interview, he knew to step back and let the world champion do the analysis, he was there to open up Bellew's answers. Normally a skeptic but this was class
@@deeeeeeeench1209 so you would of beaten him easily then ? 😂 or do you mean he talks a lot of sense because he knows what he’s talking about because he lives that life for a lot of years 😂
Such a small thing but I've got mad respect for Tony calling Brian by his name, too many guests on his pods and clips refer to him as "Geordie" and it comes across really disingenuous, but Tony's come across as such a polite bloke for something as simple as that
This interview shows how far Brian has come as a Podcaster, he’s not scared to ask difficult questions but he’s great at building a rapport with the guests and is 100x better at knowing when to but in and when to let them speak. I’d love to see David Diamante and Dillian Whyte on this series in the future, I think they’d make amazing guests because of their careers but also because of how much life they’ve lived outside of the ropes. 👏🏻👊🏼
@@ttboy4760 lol cmon man. I like them for what they are but Jake hasn’t boxed a real boxer and Logan fought a retired boxer 50 pounds smaller than him in a non-official (exhibition) match. So not they aren’t real fighters. They are entertainers and TH-camrs.
This is absolutely miles better than any of the Logan/ Jake fight stuff and highlights Geordie’s knowledge so much more when he’s talking to people who have been in the fight game for so long. Looking forward to more guests and podcasts like this👌🏼
I've only ever really been interested in Heavyweight boxing so only became aware of Bellew right at the end of his career, and I didn't have much idea about him until I heard this. Absolutely awesome interview. Listened to the whole thing in one go. What a decent and down to earth guy Bellew seems to be. Thanks for putting this out there!
Geordie I think you should get Tony on for the kick off, I’d love to see more Everton pundits on that show, sometimes I feel like it’s very Liverpool centric on derby day, get him on :)
I was never really a fan of Bellew when he was boxing in the early days (his time at light heavyweight) but he really grew into one of my favorites towards the end of his career. He's one of the good guys, you can tell
great interview Brian👍🏽 I've never been a huge Fan of Tony Bellew, but after watching this, i see a different side to him than the fella I thought he was, thanks for that, and nice one
Tony Bellew, a man who knows everything there is to know about boxing and a man who maximised every ounce of talent he was blessed with. On top of that, a class bloke who is very relatable. We're lucky to have him.
What a lovely bloke Tony is. Didn’t know too much about not living in the UK for 24 years, but just listening to him speak, you can’t help warming to him.
Outstanding chat. Tony Bellew has always been someone I warmed to in the ring and he's a diamond out of it. I'll look for his podcast now. Great stuff.
Say what you want about true Geordie, but this is genuinely the best interview. I’ve seen a sports person ever. Asking all the right questions and letting him talk in full.
The thing that made McGregor explode was doing word for word what he predicted for 7 fights against top top opposition. There's loads of charismatic fighters who have the potential to blow up, but how many can predict when they'll finish someone to the minute. That was it for me, it was like he was from a different planet and knew something none of us knew (pre-mayweather fight obviously)
I've said this before on here but Geordie is actually a really good interviewer. Asks relevant intelligent questions, and Bellew is a good talker. Good stuff 👍
Wasn't really so much for tb in his early career. But from the haye fights onward, he's really really grown on me. And now I wished I'd have supported the whole of his career. Great great guy, honest and down to earth. A real Tony bellew fan now. Great podcast boys 👍👏
My estimation of Tony has shot up after this interview. Great analyst and very humble. Tip for Geordie - stop interrupting Tony when he's explaining his point -- he gets to the point and is very incisive. Otherwise, great work...keep it up.
I love both of these men both inspirations to me. One of my top 2 favourite boxers. And true geordie how can you not love him so can’t wait to see him on Tony’s podcast will be brilliant!!!
Agree with Bellew completely but I think Usyk intentionally took his heavyweight fights as training or adjustments to get used to the weight, but this fight his is coming to win, so it's gonna be very different.
Tony - “I’m not a big tough hard case” - coming from a man who is 6.3, 15 stone, boxed for 20 years, ex world champion and twice conqueror of David Haye. Mate you would knock me out by just starring at me! 🤣
To be fair to Geordie this was a class interview, he knew to step back and let the world champion do the analysis, he was there to open up Bellew's answers. Normally a skeptic but this was class

Ian Wright called him Brian as I remember. Well worth watching that interview by the way. Wrighty is so genuine and honest.
Doesn't Geordie translate to countryman, or comrade?
@@micahasher7600 It’s a term for people who come from Newcastle, Brian’s home city.

This podcast is fantastically produced considering it's a video call. Really enjoying the new series keep up the good work mate
LETS GO, Geordie really saying fuck the usual upload times, give the people what they want!!
Was looking forward to this one. Lol all respect to the Paul boys, good to see a real fighter finally on The Pain Game
I agree. I have a level of respect for the Paul bros but I want to hear from champions and former champions and contenders.
Did you miss the usman episode?
Oh ignore me, that one wasn't classed as pain game was it that was the normal pod
Real fighter? Both pauls have fought world class pros. Whether you like them or not, they are Real fighters.

About time we had an actual fighter on a podcast about fighters
Imagine Laurence just creeps up from the background and starts asking random ass questions
GET IN , always thought Brian should get him on as he was class back in the XO days and the pain games perfect for it
Bryan isn’t afraid to ask those questions and Tony isn’t afraid to answer them brilliant interview
Looking forward to this one, Bellew always speaks the truth💪🏻
Does he really?
Compared to the currently idolised heavyweights (Joshua, Wilder and Fury) Bellew is an admirable, squeaky clean purveyor of tŕuth.
