I know that both Tamu and Mayu are mothers. A little while ago they dropped a demo video on TH-cam and they were each performing from their home studios (Tamu has her kit jammed into a tiny room!). The last shot has Mayu picking up her toddler. The Japanese all female rock bands are really finding their own way in rock and metal.
I probably shouldn’t comment before reading the interview. I will come back and provide the link after I read it in a few minutes. Work has interfered. However, here are some take always from snippets I’ve read on social media. Mayu wrote this while thinking of her son and perhaps her journey through life. Her son was born in November of 2022 around the US Holiday of Thanksgiving. Coincidence? The video starts with images of Mayu and her son, and if I’m not mistaken transitions to Tamu’s daughters. There may be actual images, or not of the other members as children. Please understand I’m pretty old for recognizing children. However, (EDIT; Hazuki-San did comment that the later images were AI developed of the band members at a young age.) I don’t understand the language, but I can feel the emotion. I look forward to finding a translation. I hope I’m not too far off. Love Nemophila. ❤️🌸

As a foreigner that does not speak Japanese, it is easier for me to find the online article, highlight sections and hit translate. I can’t highlight the whole thing as my computer can’t absorb that much text. I am scolding myself and need to apologize to Nemophila for not getting to this article earlier. This is one of the best interviews of Nemophila by YG, I’ve ever read and their are many. The article covers the new formation, drive behind band, “advisory composer?” (I apologize for not having the words), and motivation behind all three newer releases. They speak of the difficulties and opportunities while transitioning from a heavy guitar duo band, to a more encompassing 4 piece. Honestly, I don’t have the vocabulary to do this topic Justice, so please just find and read the article. In many ways it is very emotional to me. Beautiful Days was written by Mayu in part as a love ballad to her son. However, she wanted it to be broader in scope as a love theme so everyone could find something to relate too. I’m still looking for the lyrics, but I love it. More importantly, the concept of Love in general is very uplifting. It has been five years and Nemophila is always looking forward to the future. They are not a, “stagnant” band. I love their hard songs, soft ballads, and everything in between. In short the exude talent and anticipation. ❤️🌸

The other two musicians don’t have children, so the Final Cut was about LOVE! Love of a mother, family member, spouse, significant other,etc…. It seams that TH-cam is still censoring, so I’ll be short as to not waste my time. However, I will be back every time they do this in some form.

Mayu isn't taking over Saki's co-lead role, but she is playing rhythm. And Haraguchi-san is expanding into more of a lead bass role.
