"I thought you might turn up." 😏 "I'm sorry... I didn't believe you." 😓 Egon gently smiles as if sayin, "It's okay. None of that matters now." 😇 "I should've called. I miss you, my friend." 😟 Still think Janine should've been there to have her final goodbye with Egon too though. Think about it... she was the ONLY one in 30 long years to give him the benefit of the doubt regarding the return of Gozer (not even Ray would listen to him anymore), she made sure he took care of himself, that he ate, helped him keep his lights on, his car running, etc. She would've been the one to find his body, arranged his funeral & been the ONLY one to attend. He also trusted her to the point that he made her the Executor of his Will. Whatever the nature of their relationship in that 30 years, be it romantic or platonic, it was clear that she'd gained his trust & respect & that she still cared a great deal for him. I feel that she was robbed of the chance to see his handsome face, to feel the warmth of his smile upon her one last time. 😔
But she got to spend those days with him while he was alive. The others didn't, besides Egon wouldn't want Janine to get caught up in the danger especially when it cost him his own life. This right here was about his other partners who weren't there for him and they regret it deeply. Egon still cares for his friends and forgives them no doubt regretts leaving them as well. This was a final goodbye to the crew, starting off with Janine during his final days alive. And now to his friends and family during his final days on this world. Forgiveness given, goodbyes said, love received, he can finally leave this world knowing its in good hands
It always bothered me a little that of ~ALL~ the people to question concerns of something like this from Egon, Ray would be the last one I’d pick But this is still a spectacular way to close out Egon’s legacy as it pertains to Gozer
My favorite part from this scene when I got see some old friends.....I really miss those old devils ten years ago I bought DVDs of the old version I still have them
If ghost egon talk 6:00 Ghost egon: let me help you niece😇 6:13 Ghost egon: mm? Niece you can do it now *turn smile😇* 6:23 Ghost egon: ok niece walk around to closer my old friends your uncle Rip Harold
So unnecessary nostalgia bait, villain from an 80s movie returns for no reason, stupid dragonball beam struggle, excessive CGI. Fuck i hate modern movies.

Actually, Gozer did come back for a reason. But you would have to watch the movie to know that. 🤦
The movie explains why it came back lol
Modern movies hate you too.
