Probably should leave motor running while spooling up the cable. A winch draws quite a bit of juice. Also need to put a weighted blanket or jacket across the cable in case it snaps you don't have it flying back at you.

A little tip for you Steve next time leave the winch cable hooked to your truck leave truck in neutral as you wind it backup, it’ll keep the cable tight
Steve, you shouldn't use your leg to guide the cable onto the winch. If there's a broken strand of wire passing across you leg, it will either slice your leg or snag your pants. What happen to setting up the road side camps for your long distance cross country bike trip? Please keep your videos coming, we need them.
