I have used chains, wire rope, and straps for towing and extracting for over 50 years, but learned about dynamic (30% stretch) extraction ropes on the Matt's Off Road Recovery channel and I am sold on that system now. He pulls trucks with 5th wheel trailers out of deep sand with his XJ Cherokee. Impressive.

Perhaps lets get you some funding to get a safer and proper tow strap vs the tie down straps. I've seen many of those snap and metal hinges fly through windows! Don't want anything to happen to you CN!!! Keep up the great work!
No funding required but thank you for the comment I have lots of good tow straps just to lazy to go dig them out I used what I had on hand knowing full well it was not the brightest thing to do

The bus isn't in daily use maybe Steve should consider getting some all weather tires for it, although AW tires that big probably cost a lot.
