      Looks like you put a lot into it but you have to remember that no matter what you upgrade the inner workings of the bus is still regardless over 40 years old
      So sometimes when people restore really old Vehicles like this sometimes you're just better off buying something a little bit newer and upgraded even though the prices are really expensive and outrageous on some of the newer stuff you probably could have found a 1990 s model for a decent price and still would have been able to do similar upgrades with something that probably would have less wear and tear on it but I respect what you're trying to do I'm just saying a word of advice obviously you seem like a smart guy but I would just remind you that regardless of how many upgrades you do on the vehicle you have to remember the vehicle itself is still over 40 years old

      I've been in sales for a long time and what I see is you're basically putting out an advertisement because you're going to flip this bus and sell it and upgrade
      Tell me that I'm wrong? LOL
      Right this is a advertisement and you're going to sell this bus right?

      Seriously I hate wood all over a house, but this is gorgeous. He also did a lot of work to make it look so pretty, custom staining and picking nice wood and doing epoxy. I do woodworking as a hobby and the stuff he did to all that work takes a crap ton of time and work. Not to mention a lot of failures to get right lol

    • @Zankaroo
      @Zankaroo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@GlorifiedGremlin I think that is because most houses you see that are like 80%-90% wood interiors are really open and big increasing the amount of wood you see which can make it bit much no matter how beautiful. This bus is much smaller than a typical houses using similar woods and colors. While I love his build I do think I might have tried to use a bit more dark wood in some areas to contrast the light wood more. Not a lot but some.

The only thing I would change or add rather, is some solar panels on the roof, it's basically free power, especially if that is your everyday (I live here) home.. A friend of mine has a weird wind torrent like thing, it isn't very big, he built it himself and he says for them long drives, that alone keeps every battery fully charged, He said he just took the idea from a homemade torrent and he uses 2 heavy duty alternators, he says the only time he can make power with it, is driving hwy speeds.. When a stone comes up from the road and you’re driving and it puts a chip in that undercoat moisture gets in behind it and it sits in that frame will rot out in a matter of two years it will be complete junk. They make oil based under coating that will allow it to breathe and stop the rust good luck.

    On any used vehicle, I recommend removing the spare tire to make sure it comes out. Then lube all the fasteners for it. I had a used van that blew a tire, and the spare tire that is suspended from a cable wouldn't drop. Luckily I had my multi-tool cutter and was able to cut it free. Won't make that mistake again.

      I’ve actually vented that luggage bay since the diesel generator is on the far side so any off-gassing that may occur from the batteries is covered! As for the propane tanks those are all my spares so there’s no lines running from any of them.

    Gorgeous work man! You could fix a hinged folding rack with solar mounted on it. Then you could flip them up when parked and they could sit in a vertical position acting also as a perimeter rail. May also come in handy to adjust the angles and maybe even make them removable. Could plug to an extension to place them on your site.

Seems like you're threatened by both his talent and his looks. To be honest , i would be too if he was giving my girl friend a " tour" and I wasn't invited. @@ClintLewing Good, still something to be on top of - I spray my chassis with WD-40 regularly - I've got a 4x4 Astro Van that is "rust free" but there was a little surface rust on a bit of the rear end and the original springs (before I replaced them) - Just spraying them with WD-4o took care of that. Had a bit of surface rust on other areas I hit with the wire wheel on the grinder and painted - I now even paint unpainted new parts before installation - We're putting a lot of money int the builds on our vehicles so it's even more important to be on top of the undercarriage
