- Rice Crackers are traditional biscuits that Cantonese and Hakka people like to eat during Chinese New Year. The making method of rice crackers is similar to that of popcorns. First, heat the rice until it “pops” and becomes crispy and fragrant. Second, stick the rice together using syrup and add in additional ingredients, such as fried peanut, fried sesame, and coriander to enhance the taste.
Amazed at skill with that cleaver, especially left handed!

1 1/2 kg rice
300gram sugar
100 ml water
1/4 tbsp salt
1/4 tbsp citric acid (orange or other pruits )😁

The ingredients on my rice cakes is... Organic brown rice, salt.
Organic brown rice and sea salt is better! I don't like it when they spoil an organic product with manmade salt...

What he put? This is water or oil? Aside from the granulated sugar what is the transparent sticky he put?
Looks like oil first then adds some water from the plastic jug a bit later. You can see both water and oil in the wok that do not mix until he stirs. Wonder if granulated is salt rather than sugar? Transparent sticky probably something like Karo syrup... a thick sweetener..... liquid sugar!!
