I’m watching this on the day that Lee posted that Tony passed and to see him running and exploring on this walk highlights what a wonderful life he had with the Asher pack. I’m sad we won’t see him anymore but comforted that he had the best life with Lee. The way he looks at Lee is just pure adoration. I’m very late to this party. This is gold. GOLD. Asher is 100% talking from canine instinct, because he is literally living in a dog pack. This is a human/dog experiment going very very well for all involved including us watching. Most of us cannot be Asher, but at least he is taking us along on his K9 journey.
I used to live a similar life to Asher, and it is the best life! I miss those days immensely, and would give anything to be able to do it again if I could.Asher is a very fortunate man for sure. At least I can live vicariously through him!
Well I'm even later to this party! I started binging Lee's posts about 6 or 8 months ago and I have been active in rescue and fostering for years. Personally, I prefer time with my foster fail and it's just the two of us and whatever fosters I have at the time... but for those who prefer a pack Lee's way is definitely the best way. My guy doesn't actually respond to televisions I've always laughed when people leave the radio or television on for their pets... he couldn't care less; he doesn't see the video; he doesn't seem to hear the audio.. but when Lee Asher says _"come on guys"_ I swear his Labrador ears pick up! It's the funniest thing ever! Cheers!

I truly appreciate those who take care of old animals. Most often, people dump older animals, especially dogs and cats, because they simply cant take the time or energy to care for an older animal who most probably has medical issues. It's heartbreaking. So....thankyou for your compassion and love.
I have the opportunity to have this almost. Not with a pack, I’m not that brave. But I live in the woods with my rescue girl. But I’m not there, I can’t do it. She’s so tuned in to me and very protective and reactive. She barks and it scares me and I get mad. She runs off after deer in the woods and doesn’t listen to me so I worry and get mad and don’t take her anymore which is a terrible shame. I’ll keep watching these videos because Lee is right I know it. I’m the issue I don’t know how to calmly deal with my dog’s sensitivity. Lee thank you for everything you do. You are just simply wonderful. ❤
I totally believe that anyone who loves animals this much is an awesome person!!! I rescued a pit bull girl that was going to be put to sleep just because she was a pit bull. She is the best dog I've ever had!!! She has improved my life so much just by being in it!!! I love animals too especially dogs!!! They are very special!!! My girl had separation anxiety and tore up so many things but I knew it was because she was scared, it took a while for her to get comfortable and to know that I was going to protect her no matter what. Today she is a sweetheart and I couldn't imagine my life without her!!!

Love your point on patience! I've got 5 (super) senior dogs. With their loss of hearing and eye sight over the years, it's been a challenge in many ways but I just love those challenges, you know? Patience is key.
You keep patting your chest, you know how you lead the pack and why they look to you, you lead with your heart. When anyone does that, they and you are never wrong. Keep leading and your heart and spirit stays strong.

I tried treat training with my first Akira. One day I ran out of treats. She looked at me and walked away. That's the last time I used treats. I may not have treats on me, but I also have affection.

I agree with everything you've said, I'm no trainer but have found that being loving is the way to go. Back in the day I had seven dogs, mostly Chihuahua's that I walked off leash, they were my family, I was the primary and many people asked me why my dogs were so sweet and never bit anyone and for me the answer was love.
Your obviously are doing things just write your dog's love is sad when you lose I gave mine the best life possible I still so miss her and think I always well god bless you and all the things you do for these beautiful animals
I spent the last 2 yrs traveling in a 24ft class C w my four elderly furbabies. Bodhi crossed Feb 24, Sweetiepea crossed Oct 12, Melvin crossed Nov 16. My heart is shattered,I will never be the same. They were my world. I agree w what you say about "training". Everyone always commented on how well behaved my dogs were. I was clueless, I went from fostering to owning 4. Its just me & Skittle now, she's the scaredy dog, I'm hoping we can heal together. Its wonderful to see what you're doing. It truly is a gift.

The best idea is to have a 240 acre sanctuary...with lots of swimming pools😂 such as lakes...and an awesome Dad with endless love. He is for real..and oh so successful😂❤❤

I totally agree. Living with dogs is not complicate. Human beeings are often very complicate. Thats the biggest problem of all. Dogs are easy and wonderfull. I love to share my life with them, especially in nature 🌲🌳🍁🌻
I love that you’ve proven dogs understand sentences. When I took my Mini Schnauzer to puppy school 14 years ago, the trainer insisted on one word commands like “sit”, “come” “stay” etc. Thanks for this.

Best dog talk ever because it came from your soul. So many comment: “I wish I could do what you do.” They can. The difference is there is work involved and even more - bravery. How much do you really love & care about animals? There is a point where you have to step out on a limb & decide you ARE going to go down this road. It’s not romantic, fanciful or easy; but how much do you want to do this? It’s not free, either. If you adopt or foster kids the government throws money at you and pays for everything. But if you adopt animals like this you must come up with the money yourself and there is huge judgement, second guessing you, heartless criticism and many people will do all they can to stop you, hinder you & make it as difficult as possible. And many times it’s out of their own guilt for not helping animals themselves. Lee makes it look easy in these beautiful videos but I’d bet he ran/runs into profound adversity along the way. If you truly see the need these dogs have and have it inside you to make it happen, the rewards, the joy, cannot be described. It’s worth every sacrifice and any adversity. Thank you so much, Lee.

Fully agree! I stopped counting how many times I tried to explain to my boyfriend and friends how completely different it was living with 3 dogs (instead of two before and now one)!!!! As soon as I can provide, I will get three dogs again! Maybe even 4 :D
I totally agree!! It was a different family (pack) dynamic when I had 3 dogs 🐕 as opposed to 2 dogs. Even when I watch my friend's furrychildren while they're on vacation or traveling, its so different (in a good way). I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who can relate to this statement made by Asher 🐶👍🏼

Lee, they respect you. That's the most important thing in any relationship. They know you love them & it's obvious they love you. Look how happy they are. There's no one way to raise a family. It's your personal relationship with them that works. They read your energy. Your family is perfect the way it is. Mutual respect. Why would they run off? They have a perfect life. The grass is greener right where they are. They are a family. We love you & the pack. 🐾🐾

Lee I have been following you for a while on You Tube and you are truly a saint! I am retired and looking for a new companion to get my daily walk with. In February I had to put my old buddy “Carter” down after a beautiful relationship of 9 years. He was a rescue from Kansas who was brought to Denver for a better chance of adoption. Are you still traveling and if so do you have plans to come to Denver with adoptable dogs? I am not having very good luck locally at the shelters and I am grieving but ready for a new relationship. I had 18 rescue horses & realized that my confident energy made them feel safe and because they’re herd animals my number #2 was an older mare who led the herd. I learned so much from them about love and resilience.
100% correct. Understamding pack mentality is key. Plus, YOU are the leader and they know it. They LIVE for "good boy"!!!! All they want from us is our loving loyalty and safety. WE aren't any different... Bless you dear man.

For the past year and a half I've looking to adopt a dog from a shelter but, because of Covid everywhere, every shelter I called, talked to, and wrote to, gave me the same answer :"We don't have pets to re-home at the moment". I cannot accept that answer. Could Asher House help we find the little furry angel that so needs a loving home and a chance at freedom and happiness. Maybe you have a better idea ? By the way, you are an amazing person and it's a joy to watch you having so much fun "working" with your dogs (I always cry with you when one of your 'puppies' has to cross the rainbow bridge). It is so refreshing to find another person, who shares my inborn and deep understanding and connection with dogs. I have training my own and other people's dogs since 1969, since I was 14. For the past 10 years I have been rehabbing dogs. I am the proud leader/parent of 5 rescues. When working with my clients I tell them the identical things that you are saying in this video. You have an inborn understanding and connection with dogs. This is not something that can bee taught in a classroom or read in a book. It is something that people as yourself and I are born with. People have often asked me if I was a dog in another live as I have such a deep understanding of them and almost telepathic connection with them. So may I ask, " Were you a dog in a past life? I mean that as a very high compliment. You truly understand how dogs think. You understand the importance of being the leader/parent. A true alpha leads, directs makes the decisions, provides for, keeps order and PROTECTS the pack A true alpha/leader/parent. makes sure that the needs of every individual are attended to. The alpha/leader/parent sets the tone for the packs mental state, and energy.. From what I have seen and heard in this video you are an excellent alpha/leader/parent. The know this. It makes them secure, confident and the bond that develops is almost breath taking. It is such a beautiful thing to witness. From what I have seen and heard in this video you are stellar alpha/leader/parent. You share unusually accurate information. You have insightful, and excellent understanding of dogs. I know the incredible feeling that words can truly convey when an abused, unwanted, caged soul experiences freedom, security and seeing them bloom right before your eyes. Common Lee, the answer is obviously LOVE... there's no pack mentality going on with u'r family, if so where's the low guy of the totempole - u know there's 1 who eats last, is picked on all the time ect. ect! I've seen only equality in u'r family n they all know it ... Love sounds like its 1 word but Love is like a yuge computer file made up of all kinds of beautiful idea's that can be multiplied .....Love is like super glue, the primary substance holding our entire Universe together n its what I respect about u the most Lee - u genuinely have a heart w/a committed intent 2 connect with each animal spirit u either adopt or foster, that's the glue Lee! Seems u'r made of the stuff... its that bond each of u'r Spirit friends has keeping them hanging out w/u

I totally agree. Living with dogs is not complicate. Human beeings are often very complicate. Thats the biggest problem of all. Dogs are easy and wonderfull. I love to share my life with them, especially in nature 🌲🌳🍁🌻

Best dog talk ever because it came from your soul. So many comment: “I wish I could do what you do.” They can. The difference is there is work involved and even more - bravery. How much do you really love & care about animals? There is a point where you have to step out on a limb & decide you ARE going to go down this road. It’s not romantic, fanciful or easy; but how much do you want to do this? It’s not free, either. If you adopt or foster kids the government throws money at you and pays for everything. But if you adopt animals like this you must come up with the money yourself and there is huge judgement, second guessing you, heartless criticism and many people will do all they can to stop you, hinder you & make it as difficult as possible. And many times it’s out of their own guilt for not helping animals themselves. Lee makes it look easy in these beautiful videos but I’d bet he ran/runs into profound adversity along the way. If you truly see the need these dogs have and have it inside you to make it happen, the rewards, the joy, cannot be described. It’s worth every sacrifice and any adversity. Thank you so much, Lee.

Fully agree! I stopped counting how many times I tried to explain to my boyfriend and friends how completely different it was living with 3 dogs (instead of two before and now one)!!!! As soon as I can provide, I will get three dogs again! Maybe even 4 :D
I totally agree!! It was a different family (pack) dynamic when I had 3 dogs 🐕 as opposed to 2 dogs. Even when I watch my friend's furrychildren while they're on vacation or traveling, its so different (in a good way). I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who can relate to this statement made by Asher 🐶👍🏼

Lee I have been following you for a while on You Tube and you are truly a saint! I am retired and looking for a new companion to get my daily walk with. In February I had to put my old buddy “Carter” down after a beautiful relationship of 9 years. He was a rescue from Kansas who was brought to Denver for a better chance of adoption. Are you still traveling and if so do you have plans to come to Denver with adoptable dogs? I am not having very good luck locally at the shelters and I am grieving but ready for a new relationship. I had 18 rescue horses & realized that my confident energy made them feel safe and because they’re herd animals my number #2 was an older mare who led the herd. I learned so much from them about love and resilience.

For the past year and a half I've looking to adopt a dog from a shelter but, because of Covid everywhere, every shelter I called, talked to, and wrote to, gave me the same answer :"We don't have pets to re-home at the moment". I cannot accept that answer. Could Asher House help we find the little furry angel that so needs a loving home and a chance at freedom and happiness. Maybe you have a better idea ? By the way, you are an amazing person and it's a joy to watch you having so much fun "working" with your dogs (I always cry with you when one of your 'puppies' has to cross the rainbow bridge). It is so refreshing to find another person, who shares my inborn and deep understanding and connection with dogs. I have training my own and other people's dogs since 1969, since I was 14. For the past 10 years I have been rehabbing dogs. I am the proud leader/parent of 5 rescues.
When working with my clients I tell them the identical things that you are saying in this video. You have an inborn understanding and connection with dogs. This is not something that can bee taught in a classroom or read in a book. It is something that people as yourself and I are born with.
People have often asked me if I was a dog in another live as I have such a deep understanding of them and almost telepathic connection with them. So may I ask, " Were you a dog in a past life? I mean that as a very high compliment.
You truly understand how dogs think. You understand the importance of being the leader/parent. A true alpha leads, directs makes the decisions, provides for, keeps order and PROTECTS the pack A true alpha/leader/parent. makes sure that the needs of every individual are attended to. The alpha/leader/parent sets the tone for the packs mental state, and energy.. From what I have seen and heard in this video you are an excellent alpha/leader/parent. The know this. It makes them secure, confident and the bond that develops is almost breath taking. It is such a beautiful thing to witness.
