    Yes, always use a rubber mallet. I replaced my ML320 with a rotor and brake pad set from ebay for $170. It came with four predrilled holes and ventilation slots on the coated rotors, 2 sensors, and 4 ceramic pads for four wheels. Ceramic pads are great.

    I was only watching the video to find out the size of the torx bit that you need to take the caliper off. But you were doing such a good job that I watched the rest of it. Lol. Of the three videos that I watched, yours was definitely the best. Excellent job! however, I am a trained mechanic, and I would highly recommend that you wipe off all of that excess grease. You do not want that splattering onto your pads or rotors. As well, if I was you, I would clean both sides of the brake rotor with brake cleaner as soon as you pull them out of the box. Because most companies ship their rotors with a thin film of protective oil on them. But all in all, it was an excellent video sir.

    Thank you for the great video. You stated that you don't use torque settings for the caliper pins and bolts but do you know the official torque specifications for the ML320 (1998)?

  • @matthewmase3549
    @matthewmase3549 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    sir, you have some good point to your video. you putting brake grease all over the hub doesnt make it antisieze. before anybody puts the brake grease on the harware points or slide points for the pads.....please make sure to wire brush or clean the area before applying any type of coating. youre doing no good by putting the grease over the dirt and brake dust build up. thx for making the video though cause i couldnt lol. have a great weekend. and dont be afraid of putting a little anti sieze on you lug bolts or wheel studs . cause always torque them and check them later on :)

      I have a 2002 with 188k and it is so strong I am selling it but people are like that is a lot of miles I tell them yes it may be that however I know it is going to last and especially the price 2500 power everything really I think to just keep it because it runs and drives so good, I just don't need two vehicles.
