How a oil change service can go wrong? Toyota Corolla verso AR10

This should have been a quick routine job. It would be in a workshop

The nut on the bottom of my fuel filter ( same type and car) is blurred off already and won't turn without making it worse.
Is the whole metal unit on a thread as there are two almost lugs extending up each side. Can I turn the whole thing using these to get it off? If so best tool for this? If not how does it stay in the car? Is the nut one long bolt holding it all in place?

Have used your technique to quiet air box vibration and just seen and will try your fuel filter swop out. Many thanks.

There should not be a nut on the filter. Someone has broken the filter housing and the put that nut there to fix it. You can remove the whole metal filter housing using a wrench or pump pliers if you don’t have the special tool?

Just needed correct tool.
Full cup with a some notches in fitted up over full filter housing and ignoring the little filter drain plug. Worked a treat. Thanks.

Hi, 😊! Good video.!.. How is it going with Mannol oil?...os it good?..
I used Mobil 1 ESP 5W30, but engine makes more noise in wonter season.
I wonder if you have not problem woth Mannol in winter ❄️... thanks!!

I used mannol since 2020 and never had a problem with it. It meets all of the oil standards and is reasonably priced. 5w30 oil is great for fuel economy, but it can be a little thin. A 5w40 might be better.
