I like this, and that board turned out very well. I over-design stuff as well (even shop furniture), and have this obsession with the Golden Ratio. Overall, great lesson in squeezing 'sets and reps' out of even small things. One thing I've learned - which does not reflect on your skill, the beautiful board, or my appreciation of it - when it comes to cutting boards, if you make them too beautiful, nobody uses them... fun fact, frustrating fact.

I have to say I almost never watch cutting board videos but I watched yours beginning to end. It turned out great.

I'm an architect, and I do small projects because they lead to big ones. Recently, a tiny £10,000 rear extension on a little cottage led to a neighbour doing a £200,000 kitchen, dining room and sunroom alteration and extension, and that led to 3 big jobs including a £2,000,000 new build Georgian style house. Personal recommendations.... If I hadn't done the small one, I wouldn't have got any of the bigger ones. It's precisely the same thing with my woodwork.

A very different cutting board. Inspiring, thanks! I'm sure the Boos products are excellent but one can buy food grade mineral oil for a third or less. Same with the paste. Melt some bees wax into mineral oil. Around 8-9 to one oil to wax makes a nice compromise between ease of application and durability. The rest is hype.

The bevels reminds me of Davidoff's cigar humidors lids. Although, you did a much more complex profile, which made it more interesting. Very nice.

A cutting board so Magnificent that to cut a hunk of Cheddar Cheese on it would be Sacrilegious! 😇

Even the Preppin Weapon sander matches his Milwaukee top! 😂

    Great idea tapering the sides.

Love the geometry. Did you avoid going too far and creating a blade requiring planing that would effect the shape? Seems like something I’d be very careful of if I attempted the same chamfers. Maybe a 1/16th flat blade there.

Say….. this Designer even color matched his Milwaukee Sweat-top to his Woodpecker tools. Now that’s going all out! 🤣

Actually I think it’s French from the verb “faire” -to do and “pas” - not
