It's a combo of many things really. This gravel growler was from here: bikepacking.com/routes/appalachian-gravel-growler/. But when we went to Japan - we just winged it / planned along the way. :)
We pretty much followed the route spelt out on bikepacking.com: bikepacking.com/routes/appalachian-gravel-growler/ This was the itinerary we planned - it changed a bit as we rode: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v3wKGZOIsQFFaEBfRg0BfEQgmI75E_9A1QxzMoWl6FQ/edit?usp=sharing
Great video with no music! The real world sounds really immerse you in the experience.
Of all of the hundreds maybe thousand videos on TH-cam I've watched this one is the most enjoyable and entertaining period
Aww thanks man! That’s a lovely thing to say. Lots more videos on my channel for ya! 😁👍🏻
I did a 45 mile “cyclocross” ride in Gloucester, Mass this summer that looked a lot like that power line road for all of the ride
Damn, looks like a blast. My kind of trip. Lots of beers and those descents!!
Looks like a load of fun
Looks like tones of fun!
Brilliant - wish I was there....
good video! Friends and I are deciding on whether to ride this or the sister trail in Vermont. seems like we can't go wrong
Just watch your dates.. we did this 18th May and it was PERFECT - sunshine all week.. I think it would have still been a little mucky up in Vermont.
@@JohnBr0 we are thinking end of May this year- you think it'd still be muddy by June 1st?
@@coletrudo I have a friend that did it late May and he said it was definitely still a bit cold and soggy up there.
Planning to do part of this from Brevard to Asheville on 29ers - any suggestions on tires? It doesn't look like we would need anything to aggressive.
Yay!
I’m loving your videos... how do you plan your routes? Is there a site that has routes?

Do you have the exact route you did? I have friends in Asheville so ending there is ideal but i would like to add some more miles in .
I’m doing this in September. Have your itinerary anywhere? Like mileage per day and such?

@@JohnBr0 thank you! Yeah, I’m planning on continuing on the blue ridge parkway and heading to Boone, NC. Can’t wait.
@@JohnBr0 I’m also starting in Brevard.
@@TheLivingstons Make sure you do the powerline cut! That bit was err... memorable! ha ha :)
