- I picked up a new bike for commuting / exploring. The Clever Cycles 'Omakase Lux Series' Brompton.

They also changed the stock shock absorber in the back. Which IMO is a must for Bramptons. If there are 3 things that would absolutely need to be changed they would be the shock absorber, the folding clamps and the easy wheels with an extending function. All quality of life upgrades that will help you immensely in day to day use.

Very interesting because the specification is almost identical to my last Brompton M6L-Superlight x raw. The Ti Parts accessories, the Brooks b17 and the Ti seat post.
I selected these items on the basis that if Brompton were ever to offer a premium version without regard to costs, this is something like it what might look.
Of course there is always the TPW jockey wheels at around $200 EACH !!
Because of my age, I've now moved to a Brompton Electric, but the beauty of the design is that all the premium parts have been transferred across as well :-)
David Burgess the jockey wheels are TPW on mine! 🥰 how are you liking the electric version? How much weight does it add?
@@JohnBr0 Loving it, because unlike many other electric bikes, I have the option to remove the battery/bag and it then rides like a normal pedal Brompton, albeit a tad heavier the front from the added weight of the motor.
In return can you say whether you think that the TPW jockeys offer any marked improvement to the transmission efficiency ?
Lol I'm on a binge now watching your vids, also unsure about getting a brompton or gravel/cross bike for my trip in Japan, never used a Brompton but they look super fun, i just saw they're doing carbon wheels now for them, a possible upgrade?
haha maybe carbon rims one day. Would like to go tubelss if poss. Bromptoning around Japan would be a lot of fun, especially if you get the seatpost hugger from Eerder Metal - then you can carry a front and rear bag. Loads of space and super easy. :)

@JohnBr0 Yes, I saw this guy's shop mentioned in another video for after sales market, what a craftsman though fairly eye watering price for a tricked out fold up, that said the 20" option did start to open my eyes to the possibilities of Bromptoning...

John Beautiful Bike I going to place an order H6R in a couple of days, I also like raw lacquer I saw everyday cycling he had H6R. I ask for dynamo Brompton Junction told me no dynamo . How you manage to get in install. Thank You.

@@JohnBr0 Oh I stay in Singapore anyway it too costly for me to change to Ti, unless I have extra cash. Brompton came out special edition CHTP 3 with Ti fork and seat post cost $4,800 I book appointment to get H6R $2,500 Thank John you bike is beautiful. In future if I need advice in Brompton parts I will msg you. Maybe I will install a normal dynamo just like any bike without Brompton Dynamo Hub on the wheel.
You forgot to include your titanium suspension spring.
Felix Cat i did didn’t I! I also forgot to mention the titanium bottom bracket. I have upgraded a bunch more stuff so look out for a new video coming in a couple of weeks. I’ve managed to knock a whole 3 ounces off the base weight!!!! :D

How do you call that color?
It’s raw lacquer. The 2018/2019 version. Pre those dates raw lacquer is a bit greener and the 2020 version is a bit darker I think 👍🏻
What's the weight?
Started at 24.7lb. I’ve made a few extra mods since this video - carbon fenders and a few new titanium parts and got it down to 24.4lb. I’m thinking about getting a ti stem - which would drop it down to 23.7. 😎👍🏻

Nice bike but sorry, I don’t see the point of adding all those Ti bits & bobs on a bike with a hub dynamo and a hub gear. Those options really weigh the bike down. I own a Ti Brompton but opted for the 2 Speed. Much lighter.
