The thing is, Tommy is a musician not just a singer. His vocals are pretty much part of his music instead of leading the it. It all comes together as one. At least that is my point of view. There is so much interesting happening with the instrumentation it is fantastic. As I pointed out before. He was able to write epic songs when he was a teenager. It is fascinating. The ear he has for what goes and how that grew throughout the years , I have no words, and again...English is not his first language and than write lyrics like that. He is through and through impressive
Whole album is about the Titanic, and the other album you saw, Majestic (hence the name Majestica), was released only a year before this one and it was about fairy tales. they were already noticed with Majestic and the album 1912 is what really got them out there and what made Sabaton notice Tommy's talent. They (Joakim and Pär) asked him to come to Sabaton already in 2012, when first line up of Sabaton fell apart, but he declined, because he wanted to see where he can go with ReinXeed, so Thobbe Englund joined instead. When Thobbe left in 2016 they asked Tommy again, and this time he accepted. The fact they asked him to come to band TWICE is enough to see that they are well aware of his talent and skill
Idk how familiar you are with epic guitarists...but Tommy's playing with his solo bands reminds me of Al DiMeola... and that's a huge compliment! So glad you're reaching back for Tommy's talent!
I will check out Al, once I realized I didn't have the hands for it I stopped being interested unless playing around. I focused on vocals after that and song writing. This is going to be awesome I know !!
My favorite track on the album is The Voyage. The drums are awesome, actually the whole title. 🤘

I love Tommy and his voice is incredible. I also love the music and the lyrics, but that being said, I have a hard time loving it combined in this song.

Didn't really care for the music 2:37 to 3:02 but then it got good. Almost sounded like he was forcing the vocal volume.
I will check that part but I think I know exactly where you are talking about. There was a part where the volume of the vocal was unlike anything else. I am filming the Sabaton History's tonight since the 3yr old still has the flu I will be with her tomorrow again so not sure how the morning will go.
