Isn't it amazing how Tommy is able to change his voice with the person he is portraying. He sounds so fragile , when he sings the Christine part and so rough and almost mad when he sings the part of the phantom. It is phenomenal. The instrumentation is fantastic, he lifted it to a power metal opera. I just love it.
You know even for a like ultra Soprano that last note is very high and when a male hits that very same note makes it even more extreme!! Tommy can't be from the same planet as the rest of us 😅
Tommy does everything in his covers, and it's all by his hand, new compose for each cover. This one he filmed when he was on vacation in Italy. He probably got the idea to this cover there. When he get 100k subs he have a suprise for us. We need those 100k folks.
I think Nightwish did the first metal version of The Phantom. Listen to it, it's brilliant. This song is a duet, Tommy did both parts, both the male and female parts. Dream Ocean is okay, but I have to admit I prefer the Nightwish' version. But Tommy is always good
He has sung the male part earlier with Dream Ocean,but it's my understanding that this video is all his own arrangment. Just read the description on the video. The Dreams Ocean is not bad but Tommy solo version is better. The voices isn't evenly mixed in D.O. IMO. There is a reactor who played the 2 back- to - back, the votes in the comments came out favouring Tommy solo, and I'm on that side too.

Nightwish did the first metal version of this song (you HAVE to hear it, really awesome) and it would be so easy for Tommy to take Nightwish version and play it, but he didn't. He made his own version which is just as good (in my opinion), especially considering the fact that he is singing both parts. Dream Ocean version is for me much inferior to both.
Personally, I think this version is ok. But inferior to Nightwish's metal interpretation of this song.
