- Very simple demo of how to replace vertical blinds with curtains. Great for those of us who live in apartments. Just save the vertical blinds to put back when you move out.

Hi! Did you have any difficulty finding a curtain that fits exact from the blinds holders to the floor? And the width of the windows as well?
Not at all. I just got enough curtains based on the width of each panel to cover the full width of the patio doors. And for the length, I just folded the top before to make sure they weren't dragging the floor.

This turn out pretty good my only problem as the hooks i got some in a hardweare store they where big, then ran out and wallmart had super tiny half of the size but so far is working i like alot i dont have to open cause is shear so ligth comes true i need to figure out how to add something to not be able to see in at nigth.
I added a curtain rod above and put up some light blocking curtains

Is this possible to do with grommet drapes??
Could you hang two sets of drapes on the same hook to make the layered curtain look or do you think it would be too heavy for the drape hooks? I like to block out the sun and I wanna use a white sheer drape and then a darker more solid color drape on top
+Keeley Dooley it might be too heavy. What I did was put up a separate curtain rod and hung light blocking drapes on that.

Do you think you can attach these without taking the blinds off?
It would probably be hard since the hole is so tiny. I don't think the blinds and the hook would both fit but you could try.

I just stack them on top of each other and keep them under my sofa.
I have block out curtains that are 2.5kgs, do you think the vertical blinds track will hold that weight? I noticed the curtain you used appear light-weight.

Great idea! One thing though, you don't use drapery hooks like that, put the pin in same as you would any pin, voila! You don't slide it on like a paperclip 🤣

great idea I just installed curtains in my home but we took the tracking down
+DurhamDoesMakeup if I was in my own home I would take them down but since we are in an apartment we had to leave them up. Taking them down is much better!

Yes we had that issue too with them breaking all the time. But just in this area. We had a thought to take them down anyway but we didn't have anywhere to store the track lol.
You have inserted the drapery hook the wrong way on the blinds. The pin should be pushed down from top to bottom direction on the shirring tape on the inside of the curtain. You have this incorrectly placed. Then you twist the curtain to fit the incorrect hook, so it hangs all twisted up. It should be a clean flow of drapery, with hooks revisited.
So confused by your comment! What pin? What shirring tape?
@@NaturallyGlamTV you put the drapery hooks upside down, then you folded the top of the curtain when hanging it so that the hooks go right side up
Because the curtains were a little long 🤷🏽♀️

The dark grey curtains are semi light blocking so you can't really see through them. Now we replaced them recently with fully light blocking curtains so when those are closed you can't see through. But we can open those and keep the sheer curtains there when we don't want people to see.
I hate curtains, verticals all the way.
