I've been trying to decide which controller to get, and I think I've come to the conclusion that V1 will be better. Because of the sticks, its compact nature, and the back does not touch the camera lenses on the phone.
I'm glad I've stumbled on this video! I've watched quite a few videos on the never version of the Kishi, and only few reviewers mentioned that new version joysticks have lesser travel, and I don't want that!😅 I have found version 1 Kishi, here in Croatia, for 42€+ 6€ delivery cost..The cheapest price on the never version, was around 90-100€ So,the older Kishi, for half the price, yes thank you!😁 Greetings from Croatia from Kris 😎
Former owner of RK v1.It's great controller while it is working, Ergonomic, cheap, no lag.. Mine quit working after 50 days within the warranty. The customer support is atrocious, they were dragging and dragging this issue answering me once a day strictly.. I just threw away and bought Gamesir pro. I would never buy anything again from Raze
When I first got the V1, it was confusing to me for some reason as well but once you get it- it's super easy, your brain will pick it up lol (; I like it
I just bought a v1, I've been playing with my Xbox controller clipped to my phone for the last year or two. I do night audit at a hotel so it's important to be able to game 🤣 but after purchasing the V1 and then watching your video, I got to say I like the V1 better. There are some functions that are great about the V2. But you can't even take a screenshot on cloud so I see no reason for that, and I definitely don't like the smaller joysticks on the V2. I'm happy with my purchase, thanx man! 🙌
Bought the V1 recently on impulse because a guy selling it very cheap since he mistakenly bought Android version instead of iPhone. Compared to mobile controller with backbone which I also have, V1 fits my lifestyle better because of its compact size. The only major differences is app support as the Razer Nexus app only support v2 hence the touch key mapping feature is not available for V1 although the same feature can be supported on other app like Mantis.
Ngl the compactness and portability of V1 makes it much more appealing to throw in my bag. I feel like the extension part of the V2 could snap in my bag, as well as taking up more space
The kishi v1 looks like it has more clearance with the right joystick so I don’t have to bend my thumb as much to use it compared to v2. I want comfort when playing for hours
Just bought a razer kishi V1 and want to note the app doesn't work on the latest version of android in fact it doesn't show up in the store as incompatible apps are filtered out of the search results. The controller works pretty well anyway but sometimes takes a bit to be recognized by phone. If anyone knows if i'm missing out on any features the app offers let me know
left side of kishi stopped working one month after warranty. This issue is known online. I should have got an xbox controller and clip combo. Now i have to buy a third party flexcable and replace the original (which is going through that rubbery belt thing and is impossible to remove because its glued on). So i will have to tape the new cable on top of the old cable... which will look very ghetto.
I Think That I Love The V1 More, BC You Can Collaps Back In To Be A Smaller Portable Controller, But The Problem Of The V2 Is The Bridge, BC If You Are Putting It In Your Bag Or Maybe If You Accidentally Sit On It, The Bridge Would Cause A Damage Or Breakout In Half... Ya Those Are My Thoughts, So Maybe Some People Like It, Some People Don't 👍🏼
After 1 year with kishi v1, i open and close this controller with eyes closed, it just happens automatically. Ill stick with this one. They definitely should make v3 with the same phone factor as the v1 but better like for example, be able to collapse the controller and plug in with usbc to a pc and use it also to play pc games.
For me the collapse feature of the V1 was a very small learning curve. Check out the Gamevice flex. it's the same as the Kishi V1 but support cases. th-cam.com/video/HP2obqZbrmk/w-d-xo.html
Been using the v1 for nearly 2 years, firstly with S21 Ultra and now with S23 Ultra, no rubber inserts and pataka case works brilliantly. Used for Stadia initially until they cancelled it and now XBox Game Pass. So easy to pack away and take with you.
@@techbyleon you mean the only platform that could play cyberpunk at the beginning?? I loved Stadia but the never really marketed it. Still miss it now and think it worked better than Game Pass.
Hi friend. Let me ask you... I have a s23 ultra and I order a Kishi V1...here in my country it is not easy to return equipment/device that you open. So, just to be sure... Your S23 fits. But these rubbers are made to be removed?
@Miglioli yes the rubbers will pull out with some force and the phone will fit but will be a little loose. I use a pitaka case on my phone and this adds just the right amount of thickness to help it feel more secure.
What I just find lacking so much is how the trigger feels weird to press and the right stick should be moved to the left a lot more, since using the moving it it feels ackward and also the sticks are too small for my thumbs to use. Because of these it's kind of disappointing and how mobile games doesn't support razor kishi as much
I woukd like to know more about the strain on the usbc port between the 1 and the 2, it would be a bummer if the strain on the port would render my phone unusable.
im really disappointed getting V2, even taken out the rubber part, my iphone SE2 with UAG case still cannot fit correctly to play, so still have to take out case to play every time.
What phone case do you use that fits the razor kishi v2. My old phone could fit a case in the v1. I have recently upgraded to a s22 ultra and v1 doesn't fit. I have v2 on the way but I want a case that will work! Thank you!
Related to the use of the razer kishi v2, does anyone know how to change the audio input to some earbuds ou Bluetooth earphones because in game the phone (s22) uses the phone microphone itself and the controller blocks the microphone.
I bought a razer Kishi V2 and mine had a slight left joystick delay, I noticed it when emulating smash bros, pressing left joystick -> plus B didn't do the directional attack it was supposed to. it's a very hard to notice lag in most games, like 1/8th of a second delay, but I easily notice it in fighting games like smash bros. I returned it and got another Kishi V2 and it had the same error... tested with my V1 and xbox controller and neither had this issue. Anyone else have anything like this?
Well this sucks I just got the v1 2 months ago for my iPhone I didn’t know they had a 2 out. The v2 looks like an backbone. Now can these support ps4/5 Xbox cloud ? I don’t even know how to set it up to work with my Xbox or PlayStation can you make a video to show how it works with PlayStation and Xbox please thank you.
For PS5, I use PS Play which is a $6 app that is totally worth it. My only gripe is that I don't know if it's the Kishi or my Google Pixel 4a, but when I play MLB the Show, I cannot bat as I do on the console, I am swinging late all the time. I have my PS5 wired and my phone is on 5 ghz. I have V1 Kishi.
@@unbreakableironman That's funny, I also have a Pix4a and have been playing D2 with little issues on Stadia. I've had it for two weeks and have been having an absolute blast, it still blows my mind how well it actually works.

I can say with just recently getting a V1, unfortunately it will not directly work with the official PSremote play app, there are work around though, just an unfortunate hurdle to get through.
I do like how the v2's back support seems better but for portability the v1 definitely wins.
Your video really sealed the deal for me with the recent sale for the V1 Can’t wait to get it 😊

Yes, it's all a matter of if the developer of the game has included controller support by default. If not you can use Mantis Pro.
The problem with both you can't use cooler

On that S22 Ultra, I'm pretty sure he's using a Spigen case.
