Bravo to 2000. That is a double ‘grand’ achievement. Your flora and fauna identifications are helpful and educational. The views and cheery commentary are a joy. During my trip to Iceland, the bugs were known to be nasty. I came prepared with Wynd Blocker glasses. That kept the buggers out of my eyes. Semper Paratus! Be well. Wishing safe passage over the roots, rocks, mud and water. May you experience peace and good fortune ahead. Happy Trails!
@@loamseeker5230 Iceland is like the land of 10,000 waterfalls. While there, I took the ferry to Grimsey Island from Delvik. From there, I hiked to the Arctic Circle. I also drove around and completed Ring Road or Route 1. That is a complete circle dive of Iceland. Fantastic!

That's a great guess actually. I looked it up, and yes, it appears they are attracted to tear ducts...I guess the moisture and the salt. Weird little animals
