I can say I was shivering going to bed a few nights in the Wilderness. Warmed up in the tent and slept well.

Congratulations! It was great meeting both of you on top of Whie Cap Mountain and then later at the AT Lodge in Millinocket. Energizer.

I just came upon your video this morning. It’s 06:30 AM, in north Kentucky. I’m 66 y.o. and planning to hike the AT, starting Spring of ‘23. It’s pretty exciting, getting ready with plans and gear. Been planning on this for more than 40 years. Finally pulling the trigger on retirement. Gonna do it. Thank you for sharing. I’m wondering, what are your ages and might you have some advice? Kentucky

We both started the trail at 56 yo. On advice I would say take your time. We did some sections too fast. Listen to others detail how hard/easy or beautiful/plain a section is, with a grain of salt. Easy for you might be difficult for me.
Enjoy the trail community you will meet great people of all ages and bond with a few rather quickly. Enjoy each day, there is beauty out there, even when the weather is bad.
Laugh and smile it makes your day so.mych better

The good far outweighed the bad. Great weather overall, no major injuries ended tired but in good health
