Nice informational video. I would advise to always check (or preferablely change) the final drive gasket. Especially on older models because there's a big chance of leakage. Ask me how I found out 😉
What is the difference ratio between the original and the new gear?

Need an opinion here, on my commute to work on my 2018 Yamaha NMax 155 its mostly highway speeds, should I go for a bigger front pulley or a smaller final drive dropping from 35 to 34 teeth. I can only do one at a time, which one will you do first? Thanks in advance.
Hi, is it normal for the gear oil to leak on that small hole/vent under the case just beside the drain bolt after replacing the gear oil? It started doing this after i replaced the oil.

So it'll make the c3 hit 50mph but what do the rpms climb to when installed?? Is it safe to pull the throttle all the way back on these c3's and ride it like that or will it eventually kill the engine in time?? I just picked up a c3 today and I'm watching your videos to see what all I csn do to make it a little more peppy.

what should I use if I dont have a press?
great video! I see your belt does't go all the way up (I noticed the groove of the belt on the variator). Is is because the sliders or rollers are too light or the contra spring too stiff?...or both? For sliders what weights did you use?

If I did your big boy bbk and changed the gears on my C3 .. what kind of performance can I expect? Top speed? I want this for city commuting...but I live in Socal, so I'd like to be able to do 50 mph fairly easy
It will do 50 but I would say 45 would be a cruise speed
My C3 will do about 45mph top speed with 3 gram Dr. Pulley weights with the restriction washer BEHIND the variator. No big bore kit or special gearing.

@Tommy Dogs beamer ii is what I have is a fast bike on top and bottom its . Easy to rebuild if I ever have to the bike cost 1800 new I picked it up for a good price.

you didn't show how if you remove that space or sometimes you have to add additional one behind the starter cup
sometimes with performance parts if you don't install that washer when you go to tighten the nut it'll just cinch down on the splines not the drive face

Can I use the gears on the stock motor without bbk?
You would decrease performance, the stock motor does not rev high enough. Upgraded gears are meant for BBK builds.
If I put 18/36 gears in a stock 150cc scooter, will I see any more top end speed?
Tra vis yea but it would accelerate slow as all hell.

It's actually a Minarelli motor. The stand is stock on a Yamaha C3/Zuma 50F/ Vino 4T.

@@RollingWrench my 139qmb has a 100cc upgrade plus larger carb, kevlar belt, new clutch, it's going ti get a racing exhaust, and 8 gram slider bearings. What gear set should I have?
