@@xvx_k1r1t0_xvxkillme7 No, Oryx's god was not himself, but the Witness (who only refers to themselves as "we"). Or in this case specifically it would be the concept of death that Oryx tried to become using his shades and sword logic.
@@calebbergmann1570 I feel like Oryx sees the sword logic as God, not necessarily the witness. He has specifically referred to himself as God before but I think of it as him calling himself the most powerful being. It seems he was under the impression of speaking directly to the darkness (which could be the witness for all we know) though he made it explicitly clear where his faith lies. Though I think both the worm gods and the witness can be referred to as "it" (the worm gods are in the Books of Sorrow, I would have to check all the times that Savathun talks about the witness to know about that answer). In the Books of Sorrow it says, 'Akka said nothing, because if it denied this truth, the truth might become false. “But you gave us your larvae, the worm,” said Auryx, “and that is why the worm devours us now: because it was given, not taken. So I must take what I need from you, although you are my god.”' However I do agree that they generally use the word god to refer to a being of greater and unimaginable power, i.e. the traveller to humanity, worm gods to the hive, the witness to the worm gods and hive, rather than in the sense that is used in our real world religions which is part of why Savathun says "No gods" when talking to Nokris in Season of Arrivals, as she doesn't believe in that same philosophy or the sword logic (well not entirely at least). It is possible that is why Oryx was never a disciple of the Witness, he always viewed himself as serving the sword logic/truth behind the darkness, rather than a singular entity behind it.
@@calebbergmann1570 Yeah I can agree with all of that. I haven't played season of arrivals or heard the lore drops behind that. Byf
Hello I’m looking to recruit more people for my clan. If yours isn’t that active or you don’t have one please feel free to reply and we can exchange info. We have a clan discord and lots of knowledgeable player than can help with anything you desire to do or learn.
I pity anyone that dares to consider the endgame Destiny 2 content "difficult".
I’m sorry byf, warpriest is way easier in d2😭 much like the entire game
I realized the other day that Daughters of Oryx don't have a challenge tied to them... (Both in D1 & D2) 😅🤔
*Yet we specifically get The Blade of Famine, Shroud of Ir Anûk and Ravenous Heart to craft the ToM in D1. Meanwhile Golgaroth a spawn of Xol being used against its will. Also miss how D1 did Challenge emblems 🥲
We did this years ago why are we doing the same videos again
Outplayed doesn't actually support destiny 2 properly at all FYI, the auto capture feature doesn't work on it at all. Kinda a bad sponsor slot for a d2 channel, just sayin.
Outplayed is such a disgusting name for *capture software*. Also, why not just use *the built in recording functions of your gpu* or the truly based option of obs?
These questions aren't aimed at byf, he's gotta get that bread somehow, and at least it ain't raid. This time.
*Still skipped the add tho*
So basically Oryx wasn't a bad guy, but we made him a bad guy.
The Worm Gods did that, not the Guardians. Worm Gods tricked the Osmium royals into making a pact with them before the Traveler turned them into Hive Guardians
But he never had anything against us until we killed Crota. Who the real monster now?
@@kronost06 Crota was sent to kill Earth's inhabitants, and eventually the Awoken, then capture or kill the Traveler. Earth would've been destroyed regardless of Crota living or not simply because the Sword Logic meant Hive have to kill all living things in the universe until only one army remains.
Fair point. And I just saw you picture. So...
Long live the King.
@@oryxthetakenking8275 Crota might hs d soloed
oof
The game play was so hard to watch
Lore is cool.
The gameplay though.. Makes my eyes bleed
As always
